They have a collection of big hits in the 80's and 90's but the second part of their career is full of songs not known but just as amazing as the old ones.

"Electric" is one of the best dance/synth/techno-pop albums of the past decade. Easily.
Love, Etc. is one of their best singles of the 21st century. I recommend the whole YES album.

Yes and Electric are masterpieces.
BRIT Awards. PSBs got their Lifetime Achievement BRIT award at this event.
This performance IS EVERYTHIING ✨
It's a medley of only a few of their greatest hits. There are so many!
gagas movements always sends me 😂 so robotic but sensual at the same time
A taste of the way the boys' are known for being able to create fabulous medleys of two or three different songs in their live shows. God I love the Pet Shop Boys!
This performance is from the BRITS which is the UK music awards. They were inducted into the HallOf Fame so they did this medlay as a celebration of their hits and induction.

The drums under the intro of Go West are from Paninaro, and then the synth hook in the chorus is from Opportunities. Its a real mash up medley with lots of visuals from their career
They got the Brit for outstanding music contribution. A lot of great songs there but only a few of their gigantic catalogue of hits.
Always loved pet shop boys.nobody has ever captured there unique sound that they originally created back in 80's.
Lady gaga was doing dusty Springfield's part in what have I done to deserve this.
Dereck I admit, I cried over this.. Pet Shop Boys are my heroes as a child.. and still are .. thank you so much sir for this!!!
Gonna see them live next week. It'll be glorious!

Pet Shop Boys are amazing! I was fortunate to see them when I was on a semester abroad in London in the 80's. West End Girls was huge then. They also showed up at club I went to one night, The Hippodrome. Some of my best memories.
I love watching your reactions to these epic Pet Shop Boys Hits.I have been a fan since they first came out. I went to London in the eighties and was dancing to West End Girls. I've had a big crush on the "Boys" forever!

Dude, I love your reaction video. I might be a bit older than you but I'm also a younger fan, not born when PSB first hit it big, but I just discovered them last year. They are just... magical. If you like everything you hear in this medley, you need to dig deep in their discography. SO. MANY. BANGERS.
the Pet Shop Boys have so many classics .... I'll also mention 1 Song which was not in the medley " Absolutely Fabulous" from the movie OST ... I just love it .. "'It's the bloody Pet Shop Boys, Sweetie" 😉😁

This was AWESOME DERECK! PSB catalog is extremely vast! I would say you covered 1% with your previous reactions so far! They've released new albums every couple/few years & never stopped! I only know because they are my fave band/duo of all time! So many great songs! Thanks again!
Fantastic pest shop boys sound elegant genious music the 80 forever
The recommendations for Pet Shop Boys that is within the past decade(ish): 1) "Yes" from 2009. A great album. 2) "Pandemonium at the O2 Arena" (DVD and Album) a live concert from 2009. It is really a spectacular show. Truly. One of the best concerts ever. Their stage show is amazing. The same setup stole the show at Glastonbury in 2010. 3) "Electric" from 2013. It is possibly the best Dance/Synth/Techno/Electro albums of the past decade. From start to finish it is amazing. They put groups decades younger to shame. The true gems of that great album are "Vocal," "Thursday," "Fluorescent," and "Inside a Dream." Bonus: "Super" from 2016. Just a notch below "Electric" in quality but it has some real great singles.

Pet Shop Boys is one of the few groups whose four decade old music sounds contemporary. Their genius has been recognized, but I still think they don't get the credit they deserve. Critically and commercially they are in the highest tier of success and longevity.

For context, in the U.K. ‘The Sun Always Shines on TV’ by A-ha, knocked West End Girls off the number one spot in the charts. *sigh* let’s go back to 1986 😀
It's about being gay and everyone putting up barriers, including the father. Such a powerful song. Im a straight guy, but Pet Shop Boys educated me in the 90s on what being gay is. Almost all their songs include subtle references to being gay. Thanks to the pair for educating us

Dereck, you definitely should check out the song Love, Etc. from the Yes album, it's one of the best songs on one of their greatest albums.
You should check out The Killers headline set from Glastonbury 2019. PSB came on at the end and they did Always On My Mind & Human. The Always On My Mind video is on KZread but someone has put the whole audio on KZread and if you look in the comments there is a tract listing so you can zip through to hear it. It’s awesome & after PSB Johnny Marr (of The Smiths) comes on and they do This Charming Man & Mr Brightside. It’s phenomenal!
"Left to My Own Devices" is a master piece, produced by Trevorn Horn with an incredible orchestra in a synthpop production. This is a must in your reactions.

There's a video of a concert in honour of Trevor horn there they performed left to my own devices with a full orchestra, simply epic, another was there discovery tour when the performed its a sin mixed in with I will survive in 1994 which was amazing

If you review Left to My Own Devices, it has to be the extended version from Introspective. It has an extra verse and a rap. Simply outstanding. The best suggestion I have for the Pet Shop Boys is to start from their first album "Please" and go from there. There are a huge number of tracks across their albums that weren't singles and which are to die for.

You need to do some of this year’s Eurovision. Where is it? UK came 2nd to Ukraine (of course), Sweden were great, you’ll love Spain and my fav was Moldova!
Their songs were not only catchy back then, the albums n singles’ vinyl covers were pieces of ART. Visual spectacle with super catchy songs. What more can u ask for? Left to My Own Devices still sounds amazing now. It was AN EVENT when it was released. The lyrics to Being Boring was just poetry. Beautiful video by the amazing Bruce Webber. Their catalog is vast. You can try out It’s Alright, Opportunities, Rent, Heart, Where The Streets Hv No Name (U2 cover), I wouldn’t normally do this kind of thing n newer ones like Dreamland.
