I remember exactly when this video came out. Was working on sales floor at a clothing store and my boss called saying I was to come to his office immediately. He very sternly told me to sit down because he had something to show me. I'm immediately thinking he's got some security camera footage of me doing something and couldn't imagine what it could be! He was like "you need to see this" and we proceeded to watch this. Twice! LOL

I was a young kid when the Beatles came to the US shores. I've seen lots of singers and Lady Gaga's songs and now videos are undeniably top-notch for the pop charts.

The music video is about her playing a mistress or a sex slave who was auctioned off to the guy with the gold open mask. She was forced to drink a drug laced drink but she spit it out. The laptops showed the bidding. That was a gutless cat. But in the end she kills him by burning him up with fire. The fire engulfed him before she used her sparking bras.
Hello Dereck,on the radio and the video could be heard and seen in 2010.At least here in Germany.I always found the video a bit creepy.But even so new.I was always a little excited,when i heard the song.You can feel a pain in the way Lady Gaga sings.I love it.Good reaction.Thank you Dereck for your reaction.🐬🐬💝💝💝😄

Great song, we slighty changed the lyrics as the was a international football competition (soccer) and our rivials France where playing badly so we sang "not as bad as france" instead of bad romance
The clapping at the end was just for the music video wasn't on the album or radio versions. I think it's awesome tho 🔥

it's actually a very low budget video for a pop song of this caliber lmao, that's why it was shot in only one location, and you see low budget stuff like those white coffins they hatch on. it was meant to be shot in more locations but the budget was reduced, at the time gaga was in bankruptcy for spending too much on her touring shows. It looks expensive because they made the most from what they had, and also because of the fashion, gaga befriended Mcqueen and he send her the fashion for the video for free as she sent him the song for his Plato's Atlantis runaway, other than Mcqueen, she only used pieces created by independent and non-stablished fashion designers and artists.
this was lady gaga's peak in pop! i fucking love this song
In french she sings "J'veux ton amour et je veux ta revanche, j'veux ton amour" which means "I want your love and I want your revengence, I want your love". With this song and music video Lady Gaga was at the peak of her credibility and creativity. The album The Fame Monster is the most dense and intense albums of that decade. Half the world was waiting for her next move after this. She showed with this that she really belonged with the major artists in the music video industry just like Madonna or Michael Jackson. The beats and the music written by RedOne was also very avant-garde and crazy. I so wish she would consider working with him again : there was no match for this team (Gaga in visuals, vocals and lyrics and RedOne for the infallible hit-formula). Nothing could stop them then and nothing could stop them even today if they decided to got back working together.

@@SALEMBO29200 Maybe that's what you hear but that's not what the booklet of The Fame Monster says, sorry. It's written "revenge" on the CD booklet. Which is bad french because the right spelling is "revanche" : I know that I'm french myself.
