Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Get the Katz-Moses Magnetic Dovetail Jig here: lddy.no/stiz
This week’s woodworking project is a hidden wireless charging, live edge walnut slab desk for my buddy Pryor Baird from The Voice. We go through the process of preparing a live edge slab with a draw knife, to building a drawer, installing wireless charging, and building an industrial base out of cast iron black pipe. Thanks for watching! Please like, comment and subscribe. Cheers!

Very cool build Jonathan. I think what I enjoy most about you throughout your progression is watching how you always take others with you, like the build you did with mike, the stuff you do with Shaun. And incorporating his music in this video. It had a definite community feel with you Man. Thanks for that. And how’s the baby coming!!?? -Ben

WOW man! Am I glad I found your channel! Not only am I Pryor Baird fan, but I'm a Lompoc kid and still live locally. You do phenomenal work, and I so look forward to learning a ton of woodworking skills from you. I'm about to retire from 43 years of Welding /Fabrication but woodworking has been my hobby since I was old enough to hold a hammer in my gramps shop. Looking forward to many many years of building outdoor industrial furniture and Outdoor Kitchens and Living Space using all building mediums, and Trades that I've learned over my lifetime. Cheers

Jonathan, I’m not a fan of all the live edge slabs. It’s become a fad that has been overdone BUT this desk is FANTASTIC. If I were ever going to make a piece of furniture using a live edge slab this desk would be my inspiration piece including the drawer and base. The whole project is outstanding. Yea it's a way faster way to get rid of it. If it's not full cured just wipe your plane with acetone if it gets gummed up

This is a spectacular piece! I have one question. You mounted the drawer slides on wood rails that go across the grain of the slab. How did you attach them? Does it allow for wood movement? Thanks!

Amazing desk! But they sale the wireless coils without the casing so you can increase the charging distance. Removes a lot of thinkness from the charging pad.

But does the coating make the bit last longer?

Amazing desk! Quick question - did you start hand-planing and sanding down the epoxy before it was fully dry? I'm not sure how long to wait on my table before doing this. Alternatively I think it's possible to reheat with a heat gun and then chisel/plane it down, right? Thanks!

Love your videos! One thing that caught my eye in this one was that pocket knife!?! Which knife was that?

Hello and nice work. Could you tell me what the depth of your table is and what brand or type of blue tape are you using before you pour your epoxy? Thanks!

Next time use an uncased charging coil our several. Won't need to make the top quite as thin and can plug it back up easily!
