Mixed with Star Wars. MOTU isn't just sword and sorcery. It's also about aliens, technology, space travel, other dimensions, cyborgs, robots, ninjas, and everything else you can imagine. It's also far more child friendly than Conan, much less violent and more whimsical.

Like the G I Joe franchise masters of the universe is a franchise I'd rather they not touch if they aren't going to do it justice and I understand that sometimes existing properties can be reinvented but not only should it take place entirely on eternia but we really need to stick with Queen Marlena being a space pilot who somehow enters a subspace distortion flinging her across the galaxy to crash land on eternia where she is rescued by the not yet king Randor Actually recently I've been thinking that maybe they should just do the first movie about king Greyskull and maybe have a post credit scene with Marlena coming to eternia I could take up the entire comment section with plot ideas but imma wait and see what happens

My prediction will be John Cena as He-Man. Has enough chops and physique and would be all in for the role, like he did with Peacemaker (costume in public) and Ricky Stanicky (socials). But also, for his connection to Travis Knights only Live Action movie to date, Bumblebee, with him being cast in one of the main roles in that.

Would be somewhat of a novelty to it. Giving the fact Arnold was Conan. If Joseph can pull his time into acting classes than maybe he can be He-Man. They might use a more experience actor for Prince Adam

I think he would be better casted as Sea Hawk.

IF the budget is there, then I would prefer the CGI route like they did with Chris Evans in the first Captain America movie, making him look small and weak and then the real life buff actor plays He-man. I didn't mind the CGI in Capt. America, but even still it's been 13 years, I'm sure they have made advancements in making that look better now. On the flip side, I do like the idea of 2 different actors which would help with the believability that people would not recognize Prince Adam as He-Man after the transformation.

The problem is that Steve was only a weakling for the first act of the film. Adam has to be able to change back and forth at will, so they really need 2 people to play him and He-Man. Captain America: The First Avenger was also very Earth based with human foes, so they could afford to spend the cgi budget on altering Chris Evans' appearance. MOTU has to have all manner of crazy magic, demons, aliens, unusual vehicles, and otherworldly locations. It would be easier and cheaper to just cast 2 different actors. We see this in many movies when two actors play the same character (X-Men: Days of Future Past, for example), and Shazam had a smilar premise to He-Man, so I dont think the audience would have a problem suspending their disbelief.

It's kind of like reverse Star-Lord. It's definitely a way we haven't heard the story told before In live action or animated so it's something new If they do it Well I'm okay with it But like anything if they do it bad it's going to suck

As an 80s kid I grew up on He-Man. I loved the world of Eternia, the magic, the mythology, the monsters. I want to see that world. Not another man out of his element story like the Dolf Lundgren live action film or even the first Thor. Oh, how is Adam going to deal with being in a world with Social Media, or taking the subway, or ordering a latte? What a silly predicament to find him in. No, F that! I want to see the Sorceress and Castle Grayskull, Skeletor, Trap Jaw, Mer Man, Snake Mountain, Teela, Man At Arms and the palace guards. Why do we have to take a detour and spend half of the movie on Earth? That's so boring. At the most, tease his mother's crash landing of an Earth spacecraft on Eternia in a flashback or post credits scene.

@@mrsjr78 I would also prefer that and I agree coming to Earth can be later, but I can see they want to establish a reason why he cares about Earth. So spending 20-30 min of a movie on earth and 1-2 hours on eternia to setup a future Earth movie is ok as well.

The plot of the film is not at all He-Man. I have a feeling that this is going to replace the "He-man" and "Adam" problem by Adam being on earth and finding the sword turning into He-man and maintaining the secret. He'll go back home and fight as He,-man. They will then either establish that He-an is the wei³e😅

The premise of a young Adam stranded on earth is unnecessary and seems lack of creativity in the writing. They should do an origin story about He-Man that leads to a second film about She-Ra and He-Man.

An unknown actor is probably the best choice for Prince Adam and He-Man.

Please make this movie cool this world is so cool I hope it's like the 2000 show fun but not stupid with good action and Please make skeletor funny but also bad ass

This movie already dead on arrival. This is not the He-Man origin story. A studio already gave us a false He-Man story and it failed massively. So why not do it correctly this time around. SMH.

The plot sounds like dogshit. Adam's mother was from Earth, but he grew up on Eternia, so why change it? I love the 1987 film, but it was set on Earth becasue of budget matters, but even at that point it was a done to death thing. Also, She-Ra was Adam's sister "Adora" who was kidnapped by The Horde and taken to planet Etheria.

it's gonna be 3 acts on earth, and the ending is him leaving to go home to Eternia. Because why do this as one movie, when you can make it into 2-3 films and bilk us fans for more cash. Studios meddling!

The 1986 animated Movie will always be the greatest ever, but Bumblebee was definitely the best live action one. Just the robot designs alone were far better and more accurate to the source material than in any of Michael Bay's movies. It took them 6 movies to get it right, and all they had to do was hire a better director.
