These really hit the feels of being an Asian American daughter and the love of our parents wanting what is best for our future through their never ending hard work❤️ Lol I’m probably just sensitive but I almost cry when she almost didn’t go to college because she was worried about her dad and his business, but he gave her such a heart warming talk of reassurance 🥲

Most Asian parents have high expectations of their son or daughter. I’m in Canada and I had similar experience. My parents worked many hours a day just to put my siblings and I to university. Education is very important in Asian culture.

Dammnnn as an Asian (South African Born Chinese🇿🇦) this hit deeeeep in the feels! Similarly my parents ran a grocery store instead, struggled alot and I wanted to help them make it survive and successful once I finished school not even considering college. But when I got to that point, they said they only kept the shop going so that they could give my brother and I more options than the shop and the dreams they never had at our age. #GratefulForOurParents🙏

Wow! I’m not Chinese-American but I’m a Dad with a daughter and this hit really hard. I’m tearing up as I’m writing this and, after I finish, I’ll quickly wipe the tears away before my daughter comes down and sees them.

I'm moved beyond words. I remember way back when in college, Wong Fu was my favorite producer of hiphop dance videos. Almost two decades later, we are all older with more responsibilities. And WongFu is still living up to the name.

I really miss my grandparents. When I was a kid, they always believe in my capabilities even though they are strict. When they migrate in the USA, I felt like half of me when missing, my home is missing. So whenever I have the opportunity to visit them in USA, I felt like, I have my home back. But ever since the Pandemic, I never went back. Even though, I’m not Chinese, I know all Asians want to make their parents and grandparents proud. I hope, I’m making them proud. Thank you, Wong Fu. So much.

I really like this short film ...actually all your short films:) Glad you are using more Black Americans in your projects. Good to see Television and Commercials showing more Black and Asian together since before it was more of a taboo for Asians to be with Blacks. My wife is Chinese and I am Black so I know a lot about it;)

It’s not uncommon for black and Asians to be in a relationship it’s just mostly seen in cities but with the internet it’s more apparent. Also their story telling is based around feelings and experiences it won’t feel the same if they write about dating outside their ethnicity if they aren’t knowledgeable on the subject

Made me cry and feel so many emotions, thank you wongfu! You guys do so much to increase representation and expand my view of other cultures experiences. And you know how to make short that's heart felt and ingaging, so good I don't even care it's an add. Just happy for you guys getting the opportunity and getting paid for doing what you do best!
