Quentin Tarantino’s cameo is one of the funniest moments of the movie. Mr Beefy was Adam’s real life dog at the time. His name was Meatball but he died from a heart attack in 2004

It's a rather dark reference. He used to bite the heads off fake bats during his performances. Then one day, some sicko threw a sedated bat on stage.

Ik, right? It's one of the few I request everywhere (without being obnoxious) because I never see it. This, John Dies at The End, and the first season of Fooly Cooly (dub) are still left. But I can technically cross this one off, now.

My parents hated how much I loved this movie. I also think this movie is the catalyst that got me into rock and heavy metal. Soundtrack was awesome!

Same here, I had the VHS tape of it back when CD/VHS hybrids were starting to die off and I watched the shit out of this movie, this movie and Guitar Hero World tour and Aerosmith and GH III are what made me fall in love with rock/metal and School of Rock as well lol

It looked like you didn't recognise Ozzy Osbourne, arguably the biggest cameo in the movie. It's cool if you didn't, we can't all be metalheads. Ozzy started off as the leadsinger for Black Sabbath, where he picked up the nickname "the Pince of Darkness". Ozzy is in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and is one of the biggest names in Heavy Metal. Despite all of this Ozzy is most (in)famous for having bitten the head off of a live bat during a concert.. (Which explains Adrians reation when he saw Ozzy.) That was the scene the whole movie hinged on, the producers were not going to green light the movie unless Ozzy agreed to the cameo (Sandler talked about it on the DVD) Luckily Sander got Osbourne to be in the movie. In fact, Ozzy was so impressed with the sets that he hired to production crew to design and build the stage for his next tour.

The Lil Nicky OST is a nice little snapshot of late 90s early 00s Alt-Rock and Nu-Metal. You heard music from POD, Incubus, Deftones, Disturbed, Filter, Powerman 5000, Cypress Hill, Zebrahead, Foo Fighters, and even early Muse.

John Lovett's ladies night is so hysterical. I showed my kid sister this movie after him doing that in The Wedding Singer and we were rolling😂

such an underrated sandler film, might actually be one of my fav sandler movies haha

I was picked on relentlessly by my friends for loving this movie when it came out. I still stand by it, because I still think it is hilarious.

The referee in the basketball game is Dana Carvey, aka "Garth Algar" from Wayne's World.

The creepy dancer guy is Clint Howard, Brother of Famous director Ron Howard. (A beautiful mind, Backdraft, Solo, Angels and Demons) Clint has been working in hollywood since he was a child. His first appearance was "Twilight Zone" Look him up, he's in a ton of B movies and cameos. He starred In "Ice Cream Man" which was terrible.

The man that came out of the sphere is the prince of darkness himself Ozzy Osborne he bit off real bats head IRL so he did in movie too he’s the lead singer for Black Sabbath & his own band named after himself

The father-son dynamic is the best thing about this film. Not as great as most Sandler films, but it's got a lot of fun bits. Keep on going with the Sandlerverse.... but don't forget the ones his production company did without him actually being in them. Grandma's Boy for example.

Omg I remeber being at the trailer park as a kid in the summer an biking to the beach store to rent this movie. Atleast 50x. Still one of my favorites.

As much as I love this movie, I feel that the best part is the mentioning of Chris Farley at the end. For those who don't know, Adam and Chris were great friends and he took Chris's death really hard. So the mentioning of him in Heaven gets me in the feels every time.

This movie came out when I was in school and they were also playing Miss congeniality and the little vampire. I wanted to watch this movie but they got us to see the little vampire instead, which I thought was okay. I still want to see little Nicky! lol

It is Very much a Sandler comedy (His production company) but with his friend in the lead role.

Just realized that the battle of good and evil between Adrien and Nicky is kind of a version of the Oldest Game like from the Sandman comics

Ozzy's appearance in this movie biting bat's head (Adrian) is a "Easter Egg" to Ozzy's famous stunt during his early days of his solo career. In January of 1982 during a concert in De Moines, Iowa, fan thrown a bat onstage to Ozzy. Ozzy bite head off of that bat. Ozzy stated that he thought bat was fake. But he realize that bat was real as Ozzy felt warm bat's blood in his mouth. His people and crew rushed Ozzy to the hospital for treatment. Ozzy received a series of Rabies shots. By the way, weird guy dressed in women's clothes aka "Nipples" is played by Clint Howard, younger brother of Ron Howard.

At 32:05, Actually not many people know this, but this wasn't Adam Sandler's first time playing a demon. The film, "Dirty Work" with Norm Macdonald and Chris Farley. Norm's character takes a experimental hyper pot brownie. And you get too see a vision of hell with Adam Sandler cross eyed as part of the hallucination.

If I am not mistaken, the red-head angel is Adam Sandler's wife Jackie Sandler and one of the four angels that is on the screen in the background is their daughter Sadie Sandler.

I have a definite soft spot for this one. I watched it as a kid on DVD, so I got to have fun with the little extras. But even outside of that, I loved the metal and hard rock references, I enjoyed Adrian as the cunning villain, I thought Valerie was adorkable.. there is just a lot to love for me, and it's almost become a comfort comedy, even if not everything about it necessarily holds up.

Did you watch Billy Madison yet? It's the movie he made right before Happy Gilmore. It's one of his best imo.

This is one of my guilty pleasure movies. I always put it on when I am having a bad day and it always turns it around into a good day. Honestly, the older I get...the better this movie gets. Also this makes me salty about Otto Hightower going after the throne because he HAD a throne once (actor Rhys Ifans plays Adrien).
