My partner of 10 years died nine days ago, and my heart aches with the loss of him., We had very different tastes in music, for the most part, although there were certainly many jams we enjoyed together s well. And while neither of us have been until ibo generalize, he was a West Coast--Eminem--California Love kinda rap&hiphop fan, while I m--now & forever--punk rock til I die. There was very little punk he could tolerate, and while I hoped hardcore punk or too the least, folk punk might offer a way for him too share in the delight I find in this style, but he didn't seem overly impressed, or at least not that he mentioned. On the night my man died, literally just before he crossed over unexpectedly, I was playing this song, as well as the others in your repertoire on KZread, and he was rather enthralled by it, wanting to know your name so he might look you up again,. He really dug your voice and the banjo playing in your songs, and was relating to the lyrics too.. I was very pleased to finally find an artist through which my love could feel the joy of folk punk, and you are also one of my favorites, for all the reasons listed above! I do believe this was the song playing when he crossed over, so Thank You for letting us share that last moment together through your music and sending my lover and best friend into the bardos of death with a dope ass folk punk salute!! Your mouth taste like whiskey and cigarettes it turns me on more than you know. your smiles remind me of sunshine’s and I won’t let that go I’m in a war with you and this bottle And if you quit on me now I will lose even though sometimes I wish that you would just leave me so I won’t have to choose I feel so far gone I think I should end at all and if only I had the balls I would pull on the trigger and fall. I know I have a problem I don’t keep to myself And if it does exist I know I am going to hell We’ll drink and drive Crash and die But that’s only if things go well, go well your mouth taste like whiskey and cigarettes and it turns me on more than you know Your smiles remind me of sunshines and I won’t let that go

And if you quit on me now I will loose Even so sometimes I wish that you would just leave me So I won't have to choose. I feel so far gone I think I should end it all And if only I had the balls Well, I would pull on this trigger I would Pull on this trigger I would Pull on this trigger and for. And I know I have a problem I don't keep to myself And if it does exist I know I am going to hell Well, drink and drive Crash and die That's only if things go well Go well Well your mouth tastes like whiskey and cigarettes It turns me on more than you know Your smiles remind me of sunshines And I won't let that go. And I won't let that go.
