    During WW2, the germans built the worlds largest and deadliest ship, named the Bismarck. It sunk the oldest and proudest British ship, the Hood, and severely damaged their latest ship, the Prince of Wales. Soon, it got damaged, but was still ferocious. Then, a tiny little battleship got close to the Bismarck, and flashed the message "I am a Pole" in morse code. It then proceeded to start shooting at it. Imagine 3 giants having a 2v1 and the one guy is winning, when a child comes up and starts punching the guy that was winning. That is Poland

  • @KaBar41

    @KaBar41

    11 ай бұрын

    @@destruct0503While I appreciate the Poles, as well as the destroyer Piorun for challenging a battleship. Let's not overhype that piece of garbage that was the Bismarck. She was most certainly not winning the first engagement by any measure. Her shot on Hood was nothing more than a lucky kill shot. And while Bismarck did indeed damage Prince of Wales. However, in spite of receiving 7+ shots from Bismarck and Prinz Eugen, she survived. On top of that, Wales had already crippled Bismarck before the battle. Wales' shots are what forced Bismarck to abandon their merchant raiding machine and try to make it to a port for repairs. So even if she had sunk Wales, the Royal Navy had already stopped her mission. The Bismarck was also most certainly not the world's largest or deadliest ship. Her sister, Tirpitz, was bigger, the Iowas outweighed the Bismarck, the Yamato was the biggest (but was also a piece of trash) and there were a thousand other ships far more capable and deadly than the Bismarck was. Her killing shot on Hood was nothing more than sheer luck. Overall, the Bismarck was a poorly designed pile of trash crewed by an incompetent command who failed to complete the mission they were sent to do.

    Our 11th Armored Cavalry Division actually has hussar wing in it's logo, so we have hussar wings on our tanks. However, having them on F-35's would be nice too.

    sounds like human engineers in hfy stories. in one of them they turn an elevator shaft of a mine into an anti material cannon to shoot down space battleships. they are crazy enough when bored to turn a CWIS from using a vulcan cannnon to the type94 canons of the yamato superbattleship and still have the same shooting speed and still be pissed about the results

    The best part is that this is canonically accurate to real life, as there are several USAF F22 Raptors currently stationed and doing sorties in Poland. I'll be going on a trip to Gniezno next week to see them fly for myself, gorgeous marvels of 80's engineering. 🥺

    Being a bit of a history buff, there is a deep sense of ironic amusement from the idea of the former Eastern Bloc powers each becoming strong enough to hold off a Russian invasion, single handed. And, in fact, are arming up to do EXACTLY that.

    Relative to their size, I think Poland, Czechia, the Baltics, and Romania (and possibly Slovakia but I haven't heard much about their role) have made some of the biggest contributions to Ukraine's war effort, especially when you factor in things like non-defense related economics, logistics, training, and volunteer forces. What countries like the U.S., U.K., and Germany have been willing to do is nothing to scoff at, but this has become a fight between Russia and it's former satellites.
