Lithuanian Food, Accordions & Guinness Oyster Shots | Chef's Night Out
Ойын-сауық
Gaspar Fernandes, chef and owner of restaurant Gaspar's in Vilnius, Lithuania, goes on a chef's night out with some of his friends that he met through the restaurant. He takes them across town, as they feast on everything from Lithuanian classics such as beetroot soup to modern Lithuanian fusion cooking, to the best Italian in town and to cocktails and oyster-infused Guinness shots. Gaspar knows how to spice things up, including this introduction to Vilnius.

I think it is sponsored by the restaurant. There's #ad in title and description.
The cab drivers in Vilnius are all like the guy at 3:57
This guy really has a nice calm, generous way of expressing himself. Love it

So much kindness and simplicity in his way. So enjoyable, so soothing.
So glad to see Lithuania on munchies!!! As an international Student here I'm so honoured. Yeeeii 🇱🇹
Chefs night out has put me on to some of the best restaurants ever. I love the concept, and the people. Keep them coming please.
I love this series. And Munchies: Thank you for extending yourselves outward and taking us along for the ride.
I wasn’t sure about this group in the beginning, but in true chefs night out fashion they came to life after a few drinks lol.

There’s many episodes in “different” countries though so what do you mean?
There have been very few things In life that have brought me as much joy as chefs night out!
While Vice has focused on 'immigrant' outlook, Gaspar the man that he is, has introduced you to the local varieties as well. He is there to stay. Respect.
Vilnius is a great place. Would love to visit again
always love these chefs night out episodes
Nice to see a munchies episode about the world out side of new york
Welcome to Vilnius, glad you got drunk more times then you tasted the original dishes. We do the same thing locally.

I tried to do both at once at Šnekutis. Loved my time in Vilnius, such a charming and dynamic city.
Wow what a refreshing episode! Something different with down to earth people. I love it.
So nice to see this, an episode in Lithuania ❤️
im so happy to see my country on this show
Deym!!! They’re so wasted! 😂😂😂 I love how spontaneous this is.
Looks like a great time! Good episode.
Really funny they went for a Lithuanian dish Šaltibarščiai on a chef's night out. Lithuanian food is mostly potatoes and fat, and then some more potatoes, maybe, maybe some parsley ... MAYBE. I've eaten at Gaspar's several times and Mr. Fernandes is a thoughtful, attentive chef. The food is an interesting, uncommon mixture of european/indian cuisine. Although you can find this level of quality in NYc easily, in Europe it is rare and usually overpriced. Central Europe is another matter altogether. I can count at least five to ten restaurants that are on par with Gaspar's in their own unique way. Really a good time to visit Vilnius right now.

Which 5 to 10 different restuarnts? :)

@@TheBen1303 depends. I'd say SOMM, Džiaugsmas are closest. Few others if you want a less direct comparison, like Lokys or Markus for stakes and game. There are a few hidden gems in the food courts, like Meat Brothers at Panorama (they make the best burger, although they primarily deal in meat), BAO buns (especially the porkbelly one) at Downtown food market. Oishy for non-sushi japanese food. But these are just things i've been to recently.

Insipid at beginning but true to form with a few sips! YES! Another delectable CNO.
Goa is one of the most beautiful places in India, if his culinary background takes any shape from there then you know the food is banging!

Nobody , NOBODY in Vilnius would recoment those places only and one by one, I love to see more and more people from all over the world moving in our beautiful Vilnius. But none of those guys can be a guide to represent Vilnius on this amazing channel. Please do one with true local ,please!

Not a great representation of Lithuanian cuisine or food culture here and poor commentary from the host chef. Please try it again Vice with someone else, its a great city.
Does not look like the Lithuanian food I was brought up on.
Wow this really made me wanna visit Vilnius …NAAAAAT
If this isn't a culture shock I don't know what is, this wonder person is from India, grew up In UK, then moved to France to be with his beautiful wife. 😍

me and my friend Nicolas need to film our chefs night out in London. This guy is lacking of charisma and passion.
Respectfully, Chef Fernandes needs to find new "friends".
Wow you really went out of your way to find a non Lithuanian making non Lithuanian food. Why even travel to Lithuania in the first place then? Lmao
Vilnius in the summertime has the most ridiculous amount of hot girls I've ever seen in my life, even more than Miami. Beautiful city too.
That's nasty that soup looks like Pepto-Bismol
@MrVikce

It's actually delicious. The pink color comes from beet roots. In Lithuania Pepto-Bismol doesn't exist but I can see how Americans can look at that soup and see a bowl of Pepto Bismol :D
