You can get all the Kubeys that were real popular at Atlantic knife, they’re like $35 for the momentum of the 322 the Doris, the Thalia. Quite a few 👍👍. I’m saying this because I’m sitting here flipping the momentum and thinking about how good it is or how good it could be with some sweet carbon fiber scales, aftermarket of course

Should I get this bro? That is the only thing I carry in my front pockets and a fifth pocket knife sometimes baby banter or odium but usually one 3 1/2 inch or 4 inch knife

Since you brought it up, I would love to see a vid of you demonstrating how to break a car window with a knife. Do you have any junk yards near by?

My only real complaint on this model as well as its predecessor is the blade width. It's just too wide for my taste and what I find to be useful in a utility knife.

I think I read somewhere that sliepner steel was designed for the commercial meat cutting industry

It looks good. Just not a big fan of bearings. Working in the HVAC industry anything running on bearings starts to get gummed up and slow after 2 or so days. I'd like it more in washers and with n690 or s30/35vn.

my zt0450 is starting to get gummed up and i work in an optical lab and spray it with compressed air frequently so i agree with you. it used to be BUTTER

These things have oddly tiny bearings. The total bearing cage was like half the diameter of the bearing cutout in the blade and also very small overall compared to other knives. very strange imo.

im a fan of this knife. i also wd-40'd my knife right before you mentioned that in the vid HAHA. i love this big fat blade shape and i think the handle is cool. this is on my want list. but i dont want to disassemble or clean it ever. ill sharpen it tho. so ill dunk it in lube, spray it off with air, and if i find someone else who wants it id sell it. had a ganzo clone of the old one and that thing was pretty damn good.

Difficult to see how this made Knife Of The Year considering the convex cutting edge. Great if you're a sharpening expert but not so much for the average buyer I would guess.

I will not buy any knives with all metal handles including titanium because its too cold on the hands here in Canada for most of the year so I wish manufacturers would move away from that type of construction as well carbon fiber does nothing to float my boat that being said more micarta would be sweet --Cheers from Hamilton

I live in the u.s. but level with canada and i would have to agree when its cold it almost adds to the slickness. And i use pocket knives if i want to save my fixed blade edge and hard use ect...

17:20 - with all your might? Hmmmm, I think not, broken many windows using glass breakers, you do it in the corner with minimal force and so your hand/wrist (outside palm area) hit the metal frame of door/window.

Udderholm sliepner is NOT more stainless than D2, in fact it's far less stainless having only %7.8 chromium to D2's %12. Other makers, like Kyzlar, recommend keeping their knives made of sliepner oiled to prevent corrosion. Niolox is bohler udderholms true stainless D2 upgrade.

Mt. Baldwin you may already know this but most of the chromium in sleipner is free due to the addition of other carbide formers with a higher affinity for carbon than chromium ex molyebdenum. So stainlesss wise they are pretty close but d2 May have an edge on corrosion resistance but not drastic.

www.dlttrading.com/dlt-ultimate-block-strop-hone-kit You just need to strop the edge to maintain it and when you need too sharpen it , use one of these kits . The sandpaper fits over the leather strop and locks into place .
