Cvz they’re actually a good team just been ran by horrible staff. Idk tht owners judgment is horrible. I usually take over as coach on madden 21, change playbook to Saints Offense & Seattle defense. I’ve went 19-0 🤷🏾♂️. Ik it’s just a game but it’s the lil changes tht show damn wtf were y’all thinking not doing this or not doing tht.

@@babyboneg8679 horrible staff they had Jim Caldwell and they let him go prematurely. For an organization that has a team that's not used to being in the playoffs Jim Caldwell had them in the playoffs twice and four years but I guess that wasn't good enough.
Detroit played their hearts out. This was one hell of a game

As a lions fan, I love this team. I think it’s very possible that given some smart moves by DC and Holmes, with the heart this team has, we could possibly win a game in the next couple years

we're so happy to have him. I know this , if the teams switched qb's in this game, the Lions would have won easily . Goff is not all that bad when he has time and when the plays materialize, but he's just bad in reading second and third options .

I highly doubt being 0 - 7 is fun for them! You confused it for desperation - but it almost worked. It was gutsy calls I only disagreed going on 4th & 1 should’ve kicked FG and take the late lead
that was sick! You knew Detroit was gonna be trying everything this week. I did like how Stafford got so pissed at that blown whistle.

To me, this game gave the perfect summary of Goff’s career as a Ram. At in the first two quarters/years there seemed to be a lot of hope for him. He wasn’t perfect, but he played in the system and stayed competitive. In the last 2 years/quarters; however, it seemed as though he’d lost his drive. Despite the efforts of the team, he would throw away the ball in vital situations as he ultimately was overshadowed of being the star of the team by Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald, the two men contributing to his end zone interception. And who ends up with the ball at the end of the day? Matthew Stafford.

Eh not really. If anything he’s been more of a 4th quarter guy who struggles at the beginning. Even looking at the beginning of this season. & Goff didn’t make it competitive, but let’s not pretend like this wasn’t supposed to be a blowout. The fact that it was this close with such a difference in roster talent is insane. It’s like if Alabama played Northwestern lol. & They don’t even have the offensive talent they had when Stafford was there (wouldn’t have so many plays with everyone covered if he had Stafford’s Lions Golladay, Jones, Megatron, etc.)
Cooper Kupp is going to break all kind of records this season.

Stafford and Cupp have been a good duo, as a lions fan who wants Stafford to get a ring, I've watched all but 1 rams game... and I've seen Cupp take alot of big hits. Idk hid stats. But on screen he looks on the smaller side for a WR hope he holds up
Huge props to the lions for really hanging in there with one of best in the NFC. They are going to find a win really and it's going to be so sweet

I have to disagree with your assertion that the Rams are "one of the best teams..." Certainly one of the luckiest. They have played teams at their worst moments. Even the loss to Arizona was weird. The Rams continue to be lucky. They give up too many points. They won't win their division, and will bow out a wild card loser.
Detroit has my respect as a fan. They play so hard

As a dolphins fan, I loved Dan Campbell when he was here. The man has intensity and fire. He knows how to light a fire under the players. Great Head Coach. Too bad he's always given garbage teams. Frankly, I wish we had him back. I didn't like Gase or Philbin, but Campbell is a coach I like to watch!

The lions are the heat 0-6 team I’ve ever seen. They’ve played with heart almost every game and has lost numerous heart breakers. They literally lost to the ravens because of a missed penalty and the longest field goal in nfl history lol

I'll choose the blue pill everyday of the week. Been 40 years now. I've witnessed the best running back in NFL history break video game style runs every week for 10 years, watched the best Wide Receiver, and one of the best QBs the game has ever seen for over a decade. We have lost a lot, had a lot of rough times, and shed a lot of blood, sweat, and tears...I wouldn't trade it for anything. Loyalty means more than bragging rights. I'm rooting for Stafford and extremely happy for him. He deserves it.

Lions are devoid of talent but they have heart. I’ve enjoyed their play more this season than last year. Stafford is amazing hope he gets his ring.

BS. The Lions have talent: Just look at Swift and Jammal Williams as RB's. They are great 1-2 punch. Also, the LIons special teams is probably the best in the league right now. Even the Lions defensive line is good. They gave up only 43 yards on the ground against the Rams. The Lions problem lies mostly with Goff. Unfortunately, the Lions don't have a better alternative for QB right now, or he would be riding the pine.

Just an FYI 3 times in his career had a top 15 top 10 and a 5 Defense... with some pretty damn good receiver including arguable the best to play CJ. He just couldn't get the playoff W. Most Detroiters root for him to Win in LA. Funny how people just now are noticing Stafford after he gets traded.. dude has been putting up big numbers for years and the no look passes he did those way before Mahommes... your kind of proving the point to the saying "Detroit Vs Everbody" I'm super glad with the teams direction going punch for punch with a heavyweight.
This game reminded me of last year against the Jets difference is we have Stafford who will make us score after we get a stop

@@DGS_1992 Indeed. Having an upgrade at QB doesn't guarantee that you won't struggle against a sub-par opponent, but it will often mean the difference between winning that struggle and losing it. If Goff were still the QB, the Rams would have blown this game.

I mean, you can literally see none of his receivers were open & he had nothing to lose at that point. Not saying Goff is good, but it really seems like people don’t understand the Lions org got rid of Golladay, Stafford, Jones, etc. to tank this season. Campbell just coached really well, but they’re way under the cap w/ no receivers who’ve even played a whole season before. That’s not even subtle.

I have an incredible respect for stafford. Was rooting for him this game. Guy played for Detroit a majority of my life and it’s good to see him succeed.

I was at this game and the Lions played their heart out. I was surprised at all the Lion jerseys I saw! At least 30% of the fans were in Lion gear. No matter what, that team is loved. I should know, they've been breaking my heart for over 30 years and I'm still a fan.

Two major problems remain. First, their secondary can't cover anyone, whether that's a lack of skill or a failure of defensive coordination. Second, they aren't good at "and short" yardage situations. Again, this is a combination of a bad front 5 and bad playcalling to run dead center into the Rams D line. I do appreciate Campbell's passion and guts, but they can't expect to beat anyone if they can't fix those things.
The rematch will happen except in the playoffs now I’m so hyped to watch that game

props to coach campbell man. he played it like a great general on a last stand.
You gotta love the aggressiveness of the Lions. On the road against a great team they played with a lot of heart. I hope they get a win sometime. They don't deserve to go 0-16 again.
The Lions always raise or lower their play depending on whom they play. Having that being said, Campbell was so desperate to get a win for Goff that he pulled out every play he had in his bag of tricks to no avail. Are the Lions fans chanting 0-17 yet so they can get the first draft pick next year? Have the dysfunctional Lions organization broken Goff yet?

I have to give the Lions a lot of credit, they played much more competitively then I expected. I thought it was going to look a lot like the Tampa- Chicago game turned out.
Just how they got into THAT start is beyond me. But of course, the Rams are the Rams. This is probably the biggest highlight of the Lions' season so far.
Goff played better than expected. However, when the checkdown master misses a checkdown, things aren’t going to go your way.
That Ramsay interception is devastating
As someone who doesn't really care about either team, I have a lot of respect for the lions coach. Week after week he's giving his team of mediocre talent a shot to win and has really changed the culture there. A rebuilding team always starts with a change in culture. Look at the Chiefs in 2019-21 and the bucs last year, they both weren't exactly rebuilding but they weren't a serious super bowl threat. They both had someone who changes the culture, for the Chiefs Mahomes, for the Bucs Tom Brady. Hopefully the start of good things for Detroit.

I'd make the argument that mahomes is a product of culture change. Andy Reid had smith before mahomes and was just as successful. Brady changed the bucs culture

@@rikkirodgers4745 I disagree with that, Andy had been the coach for quite some time before Mahomes was drafted. Smith wasn't bad, and they won the division, but it never went too a Superbowl. Look at the team around mahomes. A great example is Tyreek Hill. Before he was not really in the top receiver conversation with Smith, even though he had undeniable talent. Now he's arguably a top 5 at worst top 10 receiver. Granted he's having a bad year, but in the timespan I mentioned he had been elite. Kelce too, he had been good, but with mahomes he's just next level. Look at the defense at the start of Mahomes starting career to the end of the Superbowl. Yes they weren't a top unit, but every game wasn't a shoot out anymore. I think an example that applies more to your point is Ryan Tannehil on the Titans. I think the culture in Tennessee has been changing slowly from the crappy team in Mariotas rookie season, to the year Marcus got benched. The evidence is the the one move from Mariota to Tannehil put them in contention for the playoffs. The team had changed culture and got players who were ready to win, and only one move was left to finish the culture change and Tannehil excelled No disrespect to Ryan, he's contributed a lot, but he wasn't the reason Tennessee got into contention alone, it was years of slowly building culture and the roster. The lions lack the roster right now to make a full change, but with good drafting and some trades, they could maybe be a playoff team in 3-5 years.
Went to this game. The energy was great. Kupp was amazing the turn overs were the deciding factors.

you just know mcvay stafford and the entire team told goff that he should keep his head up and keep playing. but once everyone was in the rams locker room they were all laughing at goff.

Me as a 49er fan in 2019 “Haha Rams, you giving up so many draft picks and money for free agents. Your future is terrible. We are building the right way, thinking about the future. 😂” Me as 49er fan in 2021 “My Niners suck. We could have gotten Stafford, Brady or anyone in free agency! That’s why I like there games he’s aggressive and besides look at what the Jaguars did with there two first round picks that we gave them traded one of them to the panthers and one of them is injured we basically got Ramsey for free and for stafford well we will see what the lions do with there picks for the future late round picks are so overrated tho

Detroit may have lost the game, but gained the fans hearts with their very entertaining and daring style football. Never before had I cared for the Lions, but I was actually rooting for them for being so gutsy. Definitely gave the fans at that stadium their money's worth.

Good luck to your team!! I KNOW someday the whole planet is going to say "Woah! That Detroit Lions team has finally got their ship righted, and they are destroying the competition!" I hope they at least win one game this season so they can avoid going winless. I feel bad for Jared Goff. Not only was he traded from the Rams, a team that is playing better these days under Sean McVay than it did under Jeff Fisher, but the team he got traded to is the NFL leader in dysfunctionality, the Lions. So, hoping for sunny, blue skies in Detroit for you Lions fans!

there were a decent amount of lions fans at sofi. i give them props for sticking it out with them. was a fun game to watch at sofi.

I was pretty Nervous throughout the Whole Game, until the Rams scored in the 4th where they got all of the Momentum and the defense started heating up. Regardless though, I’m happy with the win, although the defense needs to stay Consistent.
