Did anyone in the comments watch the video before crapping on the Lions? There’s no jersey ban. A jersey company’s account posted on X asking lions fans if they would like Stafford jerseys to be banned - that’s it. There is no official ban on Stafford jerseys.

Yeah but it's weirder for Lions fans because the team and Stafford both found more success by trading him. He won a title and we won the division for the first time in 30 years. We've also been burned by QBs who have left like Harrington who seemed to have 1 good game in his career and it was against the Lions on national TV

Stafford gave Det success too but not as much as they hoped. The Lions were the worst team in the NFL before they took Stafford and he got them to the playoffs and made them competetive. They also played in a tough Division in that time and had to contend with GB and Aaron Rodgers. Bears had a great defense during that time too. shoot couple seasons they had Favre in addition to Rodgers to contend with.@@Aaron-kj8dv

I've seen Matthew Stafford play at Ford Field many times, have I still seen him shrink during many big games. Very interesting game, if goff craps the bed at home then he may not get a new contract from detroit

Rams are 7-1 of their last 8, since their bye and Stafford came off his injury. While there was a battle of backups the final week, they also took the NFL's best Ravens to OT, in Baltimore and their special teams lost that game. They are basically playing with house money and by many measurements, the season has been successful since this was supposed to be a rebuilding, tanking, cap hell or no draft picks etc. There are no LA Rams fans who dislike the Lions for giving us Stafford and basically a Superbowl. The only one probably pissed off is Jared Goff. Basically, all the pressure is on him to perform and not turn into the Jared Goof that the Rams felt they needed to let go. I just hope whoever wins this game eliminates the Cowboys and 49ers and makes the Superbowl.

With players moving all over the league each year I have quit buying jerseys. Got mad when I bought a Justin Houston in KC only to find out he was traded. The NFL is really hurting the fan experience with all the trades and force outs with the cap. Back in the day I was taken to every game of the chiefs and sure my dad used to gripe about our QB being old and fat Len in 75) but at least he was there year after year. I miss being a player fan as well as the team.

I have a lot of respect for Stafford... I was thankful that he gave us something to watch and be impressed by. But once that game starts.... I am all in for the Lions! Thats my team, was a fan before Stafford came to Detroit... hell before he was even born. I want to see our D sack him, I want to see them pick him off...a couple pick 6s would be nice! But once that game is over.... win or lose, I will go back to having the same respect and gratitude that I had before the game started. As far as those Jerseys go.... I think its a bit dumb. They are EXPENSIVE, let people cover the name on the back... but still wear it, thats Jamos number now. Better yet, whoever started the ban can buy anyone with a Stafford jersey a different one... player of their choice!

I'm genuinely hoping that Stafford is overwhelmed by emotions and has his worst game of the year. I don't think that will happen, but between the emotions and Goff's chip on his shoulder, I'm just hoping the Lions can win.

I've been to at least 10 games at Ford Field, Lions fans are not classy. I will say that they were at least consistent in being rude to the losing team (which was usually the Lions).

You need to understand stats before you make this comment. We are talking this year and Mahomes has not been his best. Mahomes stats - 4183yds - 27 TD - 14 INT - 92.6% Passer Rating. Matthew Stafford - 3965yds - 24 TD - 11 INT - 92.5% Passer Rating.

He did all that for all those years with some of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. For about ten years he was one of the most beat-up QBs in the league. He took a lot of punishment for Detroit. The Rams put some talent around him and he wins a Superbowl.

What do you expect? Obviously Lions’ fans have respect and appreciation for his time in Detroit. We were all happy to see him get his ring. But now he comes back and is trying to end a historic season. A season that he was not able to give the city (arguably not his fault). Let’s not forget Goff has a chip on his shoulder and would love nothing more than to knock out the team that gave up on him.
