    Dear Dan Campbell, Stop calling your plays. Stop playing 97 on run plays, he blows on the run. Stop believing you can contend for a title when you have 1 WR and an RB with a QB who at times this year showed who he was. In the end, this team has no winning D and has a QB that if he turns it over, will lose in the first round. Please, do the world a favor, and petition the league to remove the Lions from Thanksgiving. It makes us have upset stomaches before 4 pm each day. If you feel like you have something to say. Keep it to yourself. The Lions will win or lose without you crying after the game. They will more likely lose. Signed Your inner ID

    As a Lions fan, I loved Dan going for it. Even the 2nd, 3rd attempt. I felt the chance punching it in from the 2, 3, 7 yard line was higher than getting the coin flip and scoring a TD or losing the coin flip and stopping the Cowboys the way they were connecting with Lamb. If Goff throws that ball to the pylon, I think we score that final attempt. The Cowboys were shitting themselves. I wouldn't have it any other way. I loved the confidence.

    Grit back? The league has been down all season long with lousy QB play. Detroit backs in this year because the Bears, Vikes, and Packers were big-time flawed and never challenged. If a big moment happens, Dumb Campbell will mess up big time. This dope goes for a 2-point on the 7-yard line. He is an IDIOT. Note, if you have actually watched this team, they have a heartless defense run by Aaron Glenn that never blitzes, never pressures the QB, and gives it up late. They will be exposed in the playoffs. Going for the two point conversion really makes allot of sense. Historically being the one seed and getting a buy hasn't necessarily helped everyone. The lions were already locked into a 2 or 3 seed. Taking that game to overtime would just mean you have another quarter of football to chance additional injuries when you're not going to gain a lot from it. Having it taken away rather than just missing the extra point to begin with. Leaves a sour taste in your mouth, but it still doesn't Chance additional injuries when you don't need to. And if nothing else now, there's more fuel for the fire.

The Lions backed in because the NFC South was not competitive and NFC North had no one chasing Detroit. The QB play this year has to be the worst in recent memories. The unders on games in prime time games are insane and you have had a game that went 3 to 0 in a dome with 2 decent teams. I suggest that when the Bears, Vikes, and Packers improve next year, the Lions will come back to earth. They are a losing franchise with fans that never show up.

    Their plan was to go for two points. Which means all the players resonably had the mindset to go for two. Like “we’re gonna get two come hell or high water!” So you go for two! Stick to your guns! If you know coach might change his plan if there’s a flag on the first try, you might not put in 100%. DC has let the team know; “If we are going for two. We’re effin going for two!!!”

    As a Packers fan, I'm glad he's your coach. Going for the 2 pointer wasn't the problem. It was the THIRD attempt from the 7 that was unforgivable. This was a down year in the NFC North. The Lions will be lucky to finish 3rd in the division next year. You already know the Pack will be legit, but watch the Bears beat the Pack on Sunday. Then think about the Bears getting TWO picks in the top 10 this upcoming draft, including the #1 pick. Scary stuff. It'll take more than gambling to beat both of them next year. Good luck. GPG

    The majority of Lions fans that I know are fine with him going for it all three times. Dan's aggressive style is a major part of why people who follow the Lions love him. His players love it and so do the fans. We love that he keeps other teams on their toes. He believes in them to convert 4th downs and succeed on fake punts and get 2 point conversions. Anyone would kill to be an athlete with a coach who believes in them that much consistenly. And they prove they can do all the things he believes in them to do. Nothing will ever have a 100% success rate. And when you're a fan of an organization that has a long and toxic history of coaches and players being complacent with one another, or downright hating each other, it's wonderful to see that belief and support. Also, for the record, there is a timeline where the Lions convert on one of the other tries and it doesn't matter. Likely there are also timelines where the PAT is missed or blocked, Detroit goes to OT and loses anyway, etc. Easy to say what someone should have done when you don't know the outcome.

    This is not soccer. Only a dummy would go for a 2-point play for the game on the 7-yard line instead of going into OT. The HC is telling you by this that his defense is garbage. I get that its lower win percentage from the 7, but in regards to this game, Detroit should have had the 2pt conversion from the 7 too. Geoff just missed the throw, the guy was open with no defenders in a good position to make the stop. So I dont get why people are second guessing it so much.

  • @flyingfishsurf

    It was boneheaded from the 7. DC deserved to lose after that crap. His team should be pissed that he had so little confidence in them for OT. I thought he was a gambler. A coin flip is 50/50. A 2 pointer from the 7 is worse odds.

  • @747RAWR

    @747RAWR

    @@flyingfishsurf A coin flip doesn't win a game. If Detroit got the ball first then they would have to move it, and score a TD to win outright. What if that drive brought them to the 7 yard line? Would those odds be any different? Going for 2 and the win in regulation, ultimately is no more difficult a task than winning a coin toss, driving the length of the field, and scoring a TD. With the only real difference being that when you have the ball at the 7 with a chance to win, YOU definitively know that you have the ball, in scoring position, to win the game. As opposed to actually leaving it up to chance.
