Messi is insane at counter attacks, do you think he will be good in the Premier League? What makes him so good at counter attacks is that he can run at full speed with complete control of the ball. That puts him in total control of the run and the opponents are just praying they can catch him. And if they catch him, that he doesn't bamboozle them. And once at the edge of the box he can put it on the bottom corner or make a perfect assist to one of his arriving teammates.

That 4 goal haul against Arsenal in the CL is the best performance from a player I have ever seen. I remember watching live and after the 1st goal being so annoyed. We were ahead, doing well against one of the best teams in the world. Then Messi turned the dial to 11. I forgot I was an Arsenal fan by the end, it was just a celebration of football and just how good Messi is.

Absolutely not the team's fault. The coach was clueless. The whole world saw who was repeatedly getting burned by who, the coach still didn't make a timely sub. Didn't help that Alba had a poor match. But that's the risks of playing him 5 years without any decent backup. Some pathetic people tried to pin it on Dembele. But if it wasn't in this matchup it was in another where he risked putting him in unfit and he got reinjured. Salah missed a real open net opportunity in the box early in the first leg.

The last of those played in the 05/06 UCL and Messi didn't play against Arsenal in the final. He was playing against guys Fabregas, Nasri, Vermaelen, Koscielny, RVP, Rosicky, Sagna, etc. who were all good players in their own right but that Arsenal team lacked maturity. I think at one point they had the youngest average age in the Premier League.

He was a great player, but never quick enough to defend Messi esp 1v1and even more so in his later years

Messi is insane at counter attacks, do you think he will be good in the Premier League? What makes him so good at counter attacks is that he can run at full speed with complete control of the ball. That puts him in total control of the run and the opponents are just praying they can catch him. And if they catch him, that he doesn't bamboozle them. And once at the edge of the box he can put it on the bottom corner or make a perfect assist to one of his arriving teammates.

Who says Messi will struggle with premier league teams ? He has already destroyed the best defenses. He is a genius...
