Our newest models all feature safety valves for your protection, and because of these safety valves, we have to follow a very specific lighting procedure.
First, press in firmly on the control knob to start the igniter. Then, rotate the gas to high.
The flame should light almost immediately, but it is important that it lights within five seconds.
Once lit, continue holding in in the knob for another 10 seconds to heat up the safety device.
The flame should stay on when you let go of the knob. If it doesn’t, start over and hold it in a little longer next time.
