Lifting and transporting a destroyed trailer

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

What a unique job this was. The 53' trailer was cut off on one end, with the larger part folded in on itself. The front part was almost a perfect cube of walls with the roof missing. All in all, this was no match for my 50ton rotator, Hulk, to be lifted and set onto the Landoll for transport.
The job itself was not as difficult as my other heavy rollovers go, but I had a lot of fun on it. A little bit of out of the box thinking and we were on the road in no time to the tow destination.

I saw the video was 42 mins in length and my first thought was 'Oh awesome Josh said "this will be easy" ' but you did not. Still an awesome video, shows how us towing & recovery people think outside the box when lift points are needed. Awesome video, now I can't wait for the mini-excavator thing you got coming out next week.

I'm still amazed by the clear blue skies I see in the background. When I was growing up there in the 70's the skies were always grey and choked with smog. At times visibility was only about half a mile. Good job by the Pepe's crew.

If I had to guess what happened, based on the trailer being in their yard and the right side axles being broken towards the rear, but the front of the trailer being seemingly ripped off, my guess is that someone was making a right hand turn in or out of the yard and caught the gate or a parked car. It looks like the slots cut on the front part may have been used by a large forklift to lift it. Had to be a fairly hard hit to rip the trailer apart like that, but since the front doesn’t seem to have any damage to the sides or top, a rollover is probably not what happened.

I like how he calls it the front where the doors are (aka the back), and the back where you hook up the air lines (aka the nose or front). Just like people confuse left side and right side of a vehicle In the U.S.A you drive on the left side.
