I’ve been studying for my Comptia a+ cert, to land my first help desk position. In my studies, I hadn’t fully made the connection between how and why the RG6 cable is used. But you showed the RG6s line from the pole (which goes to the ISP and to the home) and pointed out the cable the cable you needed to replace because of intermittent connection issues at minute (8:50), that’s when my readings on Docsis all started to make sense. Thank you.

@4:24 Mann.. I just had that happen to me yesterday. If safety glasses are mandatory ppe, you might be in trouble. If safety glasses are not mandatory, you're doing yourself a disservice by not wearing them. Cable guy to cable guy, it's not uncool to be able to see everything you worked for all day at home.
Also when you said "the drop was old because it had phone line" is not true. That is RG11 and it is called a "message wire" to hold the weight of the line for long distances . That's why it is pealed back at the tap and should be pealed from the drop hook to the house box. Has never been for a phone purpose at Comcast.
