I suffer from extreme anxiety sometimes. I'll lay away at night rushing thoughts in my head. But I'll view this... and everything's alright. none of your problems really matter. They're of miniscule importance and, like humanity, last a fraction of a second compared to the stars. life is nothing but a trivial game to this

Joe, do you know that the Great Tribulation is coming closer and closer? But before this, Jesus Christ, King of Kings and LORD of Lords, will rapture His people to safety. Today is the day of salvation, choose LIFE (Jesus) before it's too late. It won't be long now until the great tribulation of 7 years starts (the last 7 years of the world as it is now, and Jesus will save His followers before it ), all the signs of the times are pointing towards this, and Jesus is your only hope for salvation, so I'm begging you to ask God to open your eyes and to consider these words from God's Word carefully: "Jesus said , “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."(John 14:6) "...if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”(Romans 10:9-13) "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8) "Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, He was buried, He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15) For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Jesus Christ said : “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11) p.s. IF YOU DO END UP IN THE TRIBULATION, NEVER TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST: "Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666." (this won't happen until after the start of the tribulation) (Revelation 13) NEVER take the mark of the beast : "“If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.” (Revelation 14) Please watch this Bible Prophecy Update by JD Farag (you can also look it up on KZread) : kzread.info/dash/bejne/rISM3KavmLPLkbA.html. Very interesting!! (name of video is: "Bible Prophecy Update - October 25th, 2020 "

@@TunaFreeDolphinMeat thank you but I know that I will spend eternity with Jesus. I limit my study and thoughts to what the Bible tells me because this way I will never go astray :). Colossians 2:8 Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ. 2 Timothy 3:13-14 But evil people and impostors will go from bad to worse as they deceive others and are themselves deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and found to be true, because you know from whom you learned it.

The narrator for this documentary is Sean Pertwee, son of Jon Pertwee. He was the star of UK series 'Doctor Who' in it's early years. Sean is possibly best known for his starring role in the underrated British horror film 'Dog Soldiers' from 2002. He also had a leading role in 'Event Horizon' a sci-fi movie from 1997 and another of my personal favourites.

Astronomy was my life for over 3 years - it still is. I'm a very curious 14 year old, who loves mythology and astronomy. I'm Christian but can't help but be fascinated by our night sky; our universe. What's out there? WHO's out there? We may never know. But one thing I do know for sure, is that, out of 600 sextillion planets, we physically CAN'T be alone.

Nice one for having your own mind and asking these questions. Being Christian and discovering the wonders of space and science go hand in hand in my opinion and do not have to conflict just as long as you look at it from the right perspective. For example, just because we can understand the mechanics of how things work etc it doesn't rule out the divine.

This is one baddass documentary that is sure to take you for a ride through the most colorful and graphic 3D optical experience you are likely to see about our universe. If ever there was any question about life forms on/from other planets, though not asserted aggressively in this narrative, it will likely leave you believing as I do that there is little doubt that we are not alone in this universe and in fact, I feel, it solidifies the notion that intelligent life existed long before we came along and that "deb bree" from some other solar system out there may be our own paternal ancestors. Enjoy it while you can before we lose our ability and freedom to do so online

I really have to say that I am so happy to see understanding change within my life time. Many many many people lived on the plateau and did not witness the jump, it always was as it was told. When I was at school I was taught that space was a sterile vacuum and we only had our galaxy How lucky am I, my children and grandchildren are unknowing witness's :-) it seems so normal and how cool is it that we can see where we live and we have a tenuous grasp of life itself and how we take it for granted... as if given and privileged. All I can say is that no matter what we know, all the understanding possible and life still lives in an abstract dimension that somehow gives you hope, hope that it's amazing and gladness to be a witness

I always have this fantasy that we are actually the first civilization in out entire universe. Imagine that, we homo sapiens, completely alone in the universe. Why? Because the universe is still young, and intelligent life for the first time flourished on earth. We have come so far, done some bad things but some good things at the same time. I imagine advanced species a trillion years form now locking back and saying "Humanity, father of us all. they knew the universe, when it was till young". They will look at our ruins, they will try to imagine how it was for us to discover all the truth for the first time. They will study us in their history books how our species expanded all through the galaxy with technology and philosophy. And then, we just disappeared. I'm a very positive guy. People might say that we are a bunch of savages that destroy themselves and nature. But I have hope that one day, a day in which my grandchildren are going to have great grandchildren, humanity is going to finally understand the meaning of peace and reason. We are going to understand that the true meaning of the universe is love and mutual help. We are going to expand our technology, not for weapons, not for luxury, but for progression. We are going to colonize the galaxy, trying to find other life forms, trying to understand how the universe works. And then like everything else, we will disappear. And our legacy will forever be remembered by species to come, who knows, we might even create life from the biological perspective in other planets, and that life will evolve into intelligent beings, and after they discover our ruins and texts, they will look back, and wonder, how incredible was our existence in this universe!!

  • @linnb6326

    @linnb6326

+Ricard de Virgo Interesting, but I think it will STAY a fantasy. Many species came before us - othes are here now - and many will come in the future. If any of them would ever remember us, that would probably only matter to us, the universe, with whatever lifeform in it, will be just fine without us, or any knowledge of our existence. I believe that the best thing we as humans can do for the future generation/s, is to be good to one self, to each other, the animals and to take care of this planet. Our achievements or our deep love for ourselves, would be useless to them, if they don't have a save planet to live on..

  • @EwingAmaterasu

Linn B Mmmmmm you are being a little bit... pessimist. Do you have proof that other species have come before us?? If they are, they must be very few and that doesn't changes that we are one of the first. The fact that our galaxy doesn't looks like star wars is a proof of that hahahaha. We are in the middle of no where and it is up to us to create a great civilization based on mutual help and love. I suspect that the final step of human evolution is when all humans will become like monks, enlightened beings. Only then we will expand. Only then we will created a true legacy.

***** I said it was a fantasy I had my friend. I never intended to establish universal truths here hahaha. But still, I could very well use the fermi paradox as a possibility to why Alien life might be very low in our galaxy at least. There is even a theory which says that life is something very unique, and that it might be unique to earth. It's all about probabilities really. if you look at out planet, and we see how we became a civilization, it was a very complex process and process that other planets would have to go through as well. If life exists, perhaps it is very, very unique. I like this theory hahahaha.

+Ricard de Virgo 14.8 billion years old is young? I have no doubt there is abundant life elsewhere in the universe. Much of it far more advanced than we are. I also doubt humanity's ability to keep from killing ourselves off with wars to 'evolve' any further. Still, our mere existence is miraculous, the sophistication of DNA and consciousness itself are without a doubt the most inexplicable and incomprehensible things we're aware of. Soon we'll make contact with those saucer jockeys and possibly become more enlightened, but it'll probably be like teaching a dog to play Chopin, so don't expect too much. And don't forget, there's a real God out there. None of this happened all by itself.

The entire description for this video is wrong, which may account for why I couldn't find any information about it. First of all, it's called "Journey to the Edge of the Universe", not "Life in The Universe". Secondly, it was made by the National Geographic Channel, not the Discovery Channel. Here's the IMDB entry here: www.imdb.com/title/tt1363109 The US edition was narrated by Alec Baldwin and this, the UK edition, by Sean Pertwee. Also, this video is not 1080p, it's only 720p, and it's a pretty shitty copy at that. Edit: OK, actually it is available in 1080p, but for some retarded reason Google has disabled it. See: googlesystem.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/youtube-drops-support-for-1080p-streams.html However, it's clearly been upscaled from a much lower resolution, because the quality is still crap even in HD.

Hinduism’s understanding of time is as grandiose as time itself. While most cultures base their cosmologies on familiar units such as few hundreds or thousands of years, the Hindu concept of time embraces billions and trillions of years. The Puranas describe time units from the infinitesimal truti, lasting 1/1,000,0000 of a second to a mahamantavara of 311 trillion years. Hindu sages describe time as cyclic, an endless procession of creation, preservation and dissolution. Scientists such as Carl Sagan have expressed amazement at the accuracy of space and time descriptions given by the ancient rishis and saints, who fathomed the secrets of the universe through their mystically awakened senses.

Why do us humans always think everything happens for a reason?... maybe JUST maybe in space the rules are different?.. Everything happens RANDOM and all the stars ,planets , moons and life in the universe just go along with it .. End of story.

Brendan Okechukwu From what i know everything does happen random ... And Earth just excists because it was formed at just the right distance from the sun allowing water to be on the planet and from there on create life etc.. etc.. . There countless other planets whome are not at the right distance of the stars and so or burn up or freeze up its being lucky i gues..

King Kobi At random?,that's funny!, it takes great precision to organise and synchronise everything into the perfect universe that you know today,'A perfect balance',that couldn't have happen at random,in fact this random theory is "Assassination of intelligence",you know it!,

There are things we can understand with our minds and things we cannot. Infinity: Some things are beyond the mind, thus beyond understanding. The mind has to realize it has limitations. All infinite and never-ending things are beyond the mind, and the essence of everything is infinite and never-ending. Example: we cannot comprehend that the universe goes out forever, but we can understand that it has to. It is impossible for the universe to stop going out. Something has to keep going out, even if it is just empty space. This tells us infinity exists. We can understand infinity exists without understanding infinity. Outer space is the easiest place to see infinity, but it is actually the nature of everything in one way or another. The amazing thing is, it has to be true. It is a certain truth, and it is impossible to comprehend. That is mind blowing, but it's one of those things that brings magic to knowing the truth and life. It is a perfect example of knowing the unknowable. Inner space: There is no end to inner space either. The truth is, there has to be an infinite number of universes inside every atom in our body. If you take a piece of cheese and cut it in half, and cut the half in half and keep going, you could cut forever, and you will never run out of something to cut. You cannot make nothing out of something; it is impossible. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, and all matter is a form of energy. If you could make nothing out of something, you would be destroying energy, which is not possible. This is how you can use deductive logic to know something that could not be known any other way. When you burn something up in a fire, you are just turning it into heat, light, ash and smoke; nothing is lost. The electricity that runs your TV or computer is not lost. You can look at it as water flowing through the cord into the screen and spraying out into the room and back into the environment again. Nothing is lost; it is just changed into another form, moving in a circle or cycle. So please google the truth contest and read the current top entry the present.

+Steef Jones That's very important realization. Dweling on edges of understanding is pointless. Life/God is in the center of it.

If we've yet to fully explore the very depths of the sea- it's every nook and cranny, It may still be a bit early to successfully cross the immeasurably far vaster reaches of space. But humanity's tenacious curiosity and lust to attain the unattainable will be the driving force to realizing these ambitions the same way it has realized others in the past. If humanity survives long enough, this would be a reality someday.
