Man Gerb that genuinely makes me sad to hear midnight went, along with all the other chaos in your life. Just know you ain’t alone man, everyone goes through shit and is going through shit as well. My dad passed away back in December 2023 and ever since then life has been hectic. Things happen so fast you don’t even know what to think, but amidst the chaos you just have to remember with the bad comes the good. After a rainy season you get bright sunshine season. Just keep pushing man, everything will work out, God bless you man 🫂

Hey man just remember life gets hard sometimes. God has your back man, I love my car like you do and unfortunately life hit me hard when I grew up with drug addiction and mental health. I use to build turbo civics and do k swaps & now I’m just trying to recover & find myself again. Just remember man it can always be worse. At the same time I wanna thank you for your videos. Without your guide I could never fix my aircon on my civic sport 2009 which has the k20z2 engine but uses the same compressor as yours. I was quoted almost 2k aussie dollars to get it fixed but I managed to get my hands on a brand new compressor clutch kit and was able to get it installed by watching your video on that, and the evaporator too. Without your videos I will still be suffering without AC and my skin will flare up so bad from the heat due to having eczema. Sincerely hope you get out of this harsh phase soon. Cheers!

I understand where you’re coming from it is stressful and frustrating. It sucks when like you said one thing happens then another and another sometimes all at once. Just remember there’s more good days then bad days and it sucks civic braking down but that’s material you can replace that as long as you are healthy breathing and above ground it’s a good day keep your head up and keep moving forward one day at a time

OTR is already a mental game man, one thing makes you feel as if you are falling apart. Stay true man! Just remember to stay true. My si 07 transmission locked in 4th as I was out cruising. I have my 22 Ram but it still sucks! Them the wife’s 2020 cx9 started leaking coolant on the back side of the block. Hopefully it’s just a hose and not the head gasket. And to add on that the warranty just went out a month ago. 🤦‍♂️ What I’m trying to say is, things can be worse but how we overcome makes us who we are. Your wife/girlfriend loves you. Remember being gone adds stress to that situation as well. You got this, don’t deviate from your plans because things are happening.

Life is up and downs and cycles. Also the worst thing that happen is frequently the best thing that could have happened at final we just don't know it in the storm. Positive mind, positive vibe, positive life!

Just like for me i'm finally leaving this regional job thats been getting me behind on bills, and barely get food on the table for my family. going back local to be home every morning, and still have weekends and great pay as well which i'm stoked about.

Much love from Florida bro, this is just temporary. Tell yourself that, and get back in the saddle soon and do what makes you happy. Money isn't everything, yes it sure makes things easier, but be happy at your core and other things will sort out. youll put way more effort into a job that pays less money but you love, rather than one that pays good you Hate!. It would be cool to say you got a K motor on the channel already let's do a B series! but your talking a daily. I suggest an accord or something like that. Reliable cheaper and can have similar platforms to other quick Hondas. For instance the 2012 accord has a K24....and older ones have a J series another very strong motor left stock...But it's also Reliable and capable for mods....find that happy medium ground. Or perhaps an older low mile acura of another bullet proof setup for a daily. Leave the SI/corvette/skyline whatever race car in the spotlight for main content and keep the daily for daily. I hope things get easier bro been watching you for years and would like to see new things that inspire you on the channel and keep you going. Wouldn't it be sick to have crazy extra money and be like bois we are purchasing my first s2000 or EK or NSX!? bro one day soon I can see the thumbnail now! HondaNation. Best advice is have a reliable daily and a race car/street car project separate. Life gets less interrupted. Maybe more expensive in the long run to run two vehicles but gives you twice the options for a backup.

When you think it’s rough remember some one else has it worst. Life is about putting the next foot forward and keep positive energy 👍

Your time might be hard right now but I promise you it gets better. I’ve had my 8th gen (Black Beauty) for 5 years now and I actually started watching your videos because I blew up my car not even a year later because I bent a rod from water getting in the engine. Blew it up again because of a bad time and now I have a k20z3 in it with a turbo kit ready to go in it. Always remember someone has it worse than you have it.

Everything is gonna be alright man. Yeah a few bigger unexpected expenses is gonna happen. Blowing up Midnight is super shitty, and I'm sure you was sick to death about it. But work on getting it fixed, it's not dead!! I keep seeing these RIP!! I'm like, he ain't letting the car go lol. I'm not a mechanic, but I'm assuming it can be done. Be careful with these newer cars.. they have tons of shit that go wrong. An option I would consider is a 10-15k loan, 6-10% rate. You can get your payment down to 150 month If you want to stretch it to 72 months. You could always refinance later. That way it could be manageable to put some money back into Midnight. I hope your feeling better about things, now that you have had time to process things and look at your options. Be safe out there on the road. I'll continue to look forward to your content. Your gonna kill a Podcast though, it's def in your future!

Damn I always joke about driving my FG2 until it dies on me. I got mines around same time you got midnight. Each time something happens to it I come back and see if you've done it on your car like clutch job, brake job, radiator, belt change, etc... haha Still daily it with CEL on baby! lol

Samething happened to me last year too gerb on May 16th. Was omw to work and i stopped to get gas. As soon as i left the gas station..im in 1st gear...rev'd up to 3700rpms and the motor just blew up instantly. I still do not know what caused it to happen to this day. I ended up just swaping the motor that a few months later. Its a fbo 9th gen si.

Blown motors or head gaskets are my biggest fear. I've been dailying my 02 Civic EX with a 5 speed and love it but I heard the D17 is infamous for blown head gaskets...hope it doesn't happen soon. Just gotta keep our heads up during tough times

My cousin had a jetta he drove into a flooded st. His car wouldn’t start for like 2 weeks. Eventually he got it goin new spark plus wires time to air out. After he had if going for a month or so all the seals starting leaking he had to junk it. But that k24 si i wud jus redo al the seals slap the type s oil pump on done.
