omg! ok so i never leave comments but i HAD to share how much ur video helped me: i have extreme anxiety and a bad experience at a salon means i haven't had a hair cut in over 2 years. i came across this vid, realized ur hair is exactly like mine, and decided to try a small trim. it came out SO nicely that i hacked off 4 inches and it still looks awesome. layers are still intact and my bangs are bangin! i just wanted to thank you. it may seem dumb but i'm nearly in tears. i can finally have healthy hair without panic attacks. thank you thank you thank you!

It's much easier to cut curly hair as it's not as noticeable if it's not perfect. If you have straight hair and you cut it badly, it's going to be really noticeable!

This video is so awesome!! I have hairs exactly like yours and I just cut my hairs step by step and they look so good and manageable now. I am not sure how well layers look and I missed front side fringes on one side ( which I just cut in slant to match with the other side fringes) but still hairs look in good shape at back and front too. Thanks for this video!!

Works like a charm. Thank you young lady. I did do it while it was wet, but only because I'm confident in my judgement of where my ringlets end up once dry. I find wet hair is much easier to work with. But thank you for the technique. That was easy and helpful ❤️

I’ve been following this tutorial for over 2 years now. Effective. Easy. Fool proof (unless you really cut too high up). 😅 I visit this video once every month or so just to make sure I do the correct steps to cutting my hair. Highly recommended for curlies. ❤️

I JUST did this!!! I’m going to go a little shorter tonight, once my kids are asleep, but so far, I really liked this!!!

I've been trimming my hair with this tech from the last couple of years and the results are quite good.

Just cut my own curly hair with this method and it really works. Loving my new layers xxxx

I've practiced the pony tail method for trimming my curly hair layers, which I have been doing for years, because the salons always end up hacking off way too much hair. I wasn't aware of the additional second pony tail method that you demonstrated, in order to create those added layers. GENIUS!! I will be adding that method to my routine! :) Thanks for sharing!

My hair had not been cut in about two years! Since we’ve been in quarantine for 10 weeks I figured I would look and see if there was an easy way to trim my ends. Thank you so much for your video!!!! Not only was your technique easy to do it’s probably the best haircut I have ever had!!! I did the trim plus the extra layering part and I love how it came out. So glad I found your video, your hair looked similarly curly to mine so I gave it a try, figured I had nothing to lose. And I’m soooooo glad I did it. When I started this video I laughed and had to read the comments to see if you were serious...and was shocked that it really worked!! I have been begging a friend to cut layers in my curly hair because I don't want to pay outrageous salon prices. I googled how to do it myself. I am an older lady and noticed my hair has thinned out a lot over the years. But I tried your technique and instantly noticed it was fuller and bouncier. Why? Just why? 🤣🤣🤣 Why didn't I find you a year ago when I disastrously chopped my beautiful curtly hair MUCH shorter than I intended to???? THIS WAS A MIRACLE!! Omg I've been wanting to cut my dead curly hair for a while now and I REALLY wanted that layered look with the high layers. I have really long 3a/3c hair (the longest strand is way past the back of my bra strap). I didn't really have layers so the long hair didn't give me the volume I used to have (my hair used to be at my shoulders 2 years ago!!). I was SO nervous to try this but I really wanted these layers and I was skeptical about how EASY AND QUICK this looked, but at this point I didn't care anymore I was just gona yolo it. I literally kept hearing in my head your voice "don't be scared guys!" (you are too adorable by the way) and I went on and did it! My hair is a lot longer and curlier than yours so I knew the shrinkage I would get so I started the layered cut farther down. But OMG I love the way it turned out!!!! It is literally how I wanted it and now I have my volume back WHILE my hair still being that long length it was! Literally everyone loves the way it came out, they noticed how much more volume it gives. Thank you SO much I can't believe I literally cut like 2 inches off MYSELF thanks to you! I will definitely be doing this method for now on and not have to go to the salon anymore (: Thanks again!!

Alright I went for it and I was kinda terrified but my friend recommended your video. I have extremely curly long hair and I have had a few disaster haircuts from salons which has made me swear to never enter one again. And well..... I love my new haircut that I just did myself!!! Thanks to you!!!

Awe..That makes me super happy. And i totally know your pain. Sometimes i go to salons to get my hair trimmed and i always regret it because they love to just chop all my hair off..lol. I tell them to just take 1 inch off and then they take like 3 inches off?!?!?! //Maria

Finally someone shows how to do this for curly or wavy hair! Thank you. I am going to try it. I have not been to a hairdresser in 25 years after one massacred my wavy hair. My husband cried that day. Your technique will work great for me.

I LOVE that you cut your hair UNDER the elastic and not above it like a lot of people do...then it cuts way too much off! Btw your hair is very thick and beautiful. Good job!🌻
