those CI 2 pros are so amazing. such perfectly shaped blades. i love everything about them, from the rails, to the nose and tail, to the rocker, to the beautiful outline, everything. I was mesmerized in that aisle for some time, grazing each board from the shortest to the tallest (5'9" to 6'4" if not mistaken) the 6'2" was my favorite, although the 6'4" was probably more suitable for me to not stand up on and ride on my belly (not by preference, but by sad necessity) :) i wonder what a 6'6" would be like, and speaking of which, the 6'6" happy traveler was my other favorite. the happy series, especially that 6'6" traveler, was perfect. such beauty. all that said, i was (and still am) so elated to walk out the door that day with a very very special rook 15 with a perfect rounded pin, much like the happy traveler, actually, but considerably thinner and shorter, that is part of one of my favorite surfers quiver. a pro. a ripper. a hero :) she's so cool. the board is beautiful, half pink, gray stripe. i almost cried holding it in the shop, and i was shaking when making the acquisition transaction, literally, shaking hands and racing heart. with only two paddle outs, the board has thus far proven quite possibly (probably) way way more performancy than my abilities, especially now. that said, paddling on it, diving through and up and over waves is so delightful, as is its beauty, lightness, responsiveness and agility, and every time i pull it out of the bag and wax it or carry it under my arm, i get to admire it so much, and enjoy the fragrant wax on its beautiful deck. i may never get to do more than paddle on it, but if thats all, im still happy. its also very cool to get to experience what the boards i see her ripping on seemingly so effortlessly and making it look easy, feels like. i am very happy and grateful for the opportunity. i hope that ill be able to also try a 6'6" with hope of more volume and perhaps more suitable stability, while still responsive :) i dont know exactly who to thank for this, but i will find out as expressed thanks and gratitude are definitely in order :)

❤ excellent surfing. excellent. those periods of overall style analysis, with torso and arm emphasis, really had an effect. Lakey, your powerful fluid turns and cutbacks look even better than always, and i can see a clear difference in your curved driving coiled arm positions (as opposed to the raised straight overhead ballerina style, which i still like), looks like its really helping you with drive and momentum, fluidity, and torque as you are basically winding up into and out of those turns. Also, the backside snaps on those lefts are epic. so fierce and nicely timed and placed, such great overall solid powerful style. everyone in that clip was ripping. Molly was looking fierce and great style as well, and that session was so fun to watch :) regarding the golf, looks like you are having such fun on the course. unfortunately for me, due to physical injury and condition, i will not be able to golf. however, should i ever find myself on the course, i would propose that i simply match stroke count to my fellow golfers, the best and lowest count of course, if multiple people, and start at the putting green with a matched and marked placement, because, not that i am low key boasting or trying to instigate a challenge, i would bring it on the putting greens :) anyway, life looks great, and im happy to see that. oh, and maybe maybe i might be in your area as i just made a board purchase and will be driving down on a lil excursion to retrieve the board and have some fun. im awaiting all the logistics to get into place regarding the order and pick up, but it would be so cool if i was actually able to see you surfing from the water (as long as im hopefully not paddling inside while you are dropping into or surfing down the forthcoming line, as i really dont like the feeling, nor the dangers associated with being in the way :) maybe ill be in the channel several yards away or in the distant uncrowded, even if closeouts, shore break : ) so if you see a tiny person merely paddling back and forth in the distant flats, or sitting amidst shore break that most people would find unacceptable, thats probably me delightfully enjoying it all to myself while watching the ripping, and likely mayhem, from afar. if so, dont be shy to say hello :)

❤ PS- i wont spam your comments, but this is the second of 2 copied and pasted comments from a CI 2 pro video with brit. I only discovered day before yesterday the actual extent to which I acquired the board, and im still a tiny perplexed. but one thing is certain, what an amazing treat to get to experience this beautiful board, and to have it be the one that i paddled back into the ocean on after 25 years out of the salt water. im definitely damaged and not able to do much of what i once did, but the paddling and surf mind still functions :)

I posted on Tom’s IG page with one of the most positive post about how your page was one of the KZread pages got me through my eye surgeries just blurry seeing & hearing about surfing. Since then just giving Tom props & enjoying you guys sharing your journey with us. Within seconds I got a community violation & my post was removed. Was it that I was thankful for having something While I was going through tough times, happy for a couple supporting & loving each other & giving another platform/viewpoint credit? Hope you two see this, you rock & thank you.

Instagram sucks, that's the problem. They seemingly just changed their algorithm a few days ago and it's pretty absurd. I had a very similar thing happen a couple of days ago when wishing Barton well on one of his posts. It was totally innocuous but I could see where they were catching certain buzzwords that if taken wildly out of context could theoretically flag an algorithm somewhere for something but in context definitely not. They're getting ready for the election IMHO so they're preparing to censor and ban people at excessive levels for daring to ever go against any officially approved narrative. Right now is just the warmup phase...
