They tried to clean up but you can tell they are still junkies.

She said she's 13yrs sober but her daughter was born 7yrs ago with H&M in her. That poor little girl needs to stay with her Aunt permanently.

Methany is the last person to have custody of a house plant, let alone a child.

Girl should stay with her auntie no question here.

These parents are totally disgusting. They treat this child as a possession. They want their kid. They don’t care the damage. They’ve done to her. They are just so damn jealous that someone else has their child and is doing a great job. I would I would never let them within 10 feet of that kid.

“The fact I was doing drugs, I was never neglectful.” The fact that she doesn’t see the irony of this statement shows she hasn’t come very far in her sobriety.

How to spot a manipulative liar: - “So you didn’t attack her?” - “the police report doesn’t mention any of that”.. avoiding answering truthfully to the question.

“ she’s putting her in too many activities and overwhelming her” 💀 I would have died as a kid to be in activities like that. Much better than sitting around the house all day with drugged up parents.

There is such a thing as to much. I was schedule for more activities than I can count!! I didnt want to practice piano everyday I wanted to play. Same goes for the girl scouts and painting lessons the dance lessons as well as 20 hours a week in church! I just wanted to play cowboys and Indians with my friends when I was that age.

I fear for the aunt’s safety. When people are still using drugs and have anger issues, they make irrational and impulsive decisions.

You have to have a license to go fishing, you have to have a license for your dog, you have to have a license to get married, but anyone qualified or not can have children. If your child is born addicted to drugs you are CLEARLY not qualified.

In some states , it is very difficult to get divorced/ there is a process / sometimes a three month period is required BEFORE divorce is allowed to proceed/be finalized etc etc . I think there should be a law/laws that requiring couples to successfully complete pre-marital counseling, and parenting classes , and no marrying for 6 months, starting on legally documented first day of engagement, BEFORE saying I DO!!

The daughter looks older than her mother. This couple is far from sobre and healthy. She's railroad thin, which means she's still using.

They are sisters, but yes the one that has used drugs for years looks like she's sixty.

They haven't seen their daughter in a year and a half. Wish I knew the real story. Seems like it would be better for child to at least have some sort of supervised visitaion.

That lady should be thanking her sister. You can literally see the frustration in the Auntie's face because she's doing something she doesn't have to ( and she's doing a good job at it) and the parents are too delusional to see it. I can't believe they are arguing with her. The mom isn't focused on the baby girl. Oan did yall catch that they have another newborn baby????? Ridiculous. Poor baby.

Most parents really love their children. Most people who are addicted to drugs, & who use drugs , really do truly LOVE their children. IT doesn’t mean they should be caring for those children

Miles apart from being on heroin, sttealing, harming people.... it's a way to who was in drugs can put they lifes together, can work, can take care of family, it's legal and prescribed from specialistis, not on streets.... my life turned 180 degrees after I got help. Don't judge what you Don't know, please

It depends on whether it's being abused or not, if it's being used properly there is no high, it's just enough to avoid symptoms of withdrawal and stop cravings. Just because someone is on an opiate doesn't mean it's being abused or that they're not sober.

You’re always under the influence, even if it’s prescribed and being used properly. I was on prescribed methadone for five years and it was the worst decision ever.

Methadone is a narcotic & it is used for people who have substance abuse problems, such as narcotics like painkillers, heroine , etc. (Narcotics) it is used for recovery. However, I would definitely recommend if u plan on getting pregnant to speak to your Dr about it & they would need to either give u medical instructions on what to do or completely ween u off of it. If it was me, I would 100% want weened off. It is actually used for recovery. If u don't abuse it & get it from a Dr. It is still a narcotic, but you're technically in recovery from the addiction u had, whether it was painkillers for extreme physical pain or heroine from the streets. It's definitely not good for her baby, that's for sure. She should be either taking the pill or using protection while taking the methadone & if she wants or plans to get pregnant, notify her doctor to be weened off of it & then get pregnant. My point is, it's a recovery medication as long as u aren't abusing it & getting it from a Dr. it definitely could help u. But it can definitely be addicting as well. U would need to be weened off of it & not abruptly stop a medication like that. Strong medication. I work in the mental health field & when dealing with pt who have substance abuse problems (narcotics), we do recommend them to the Methadone or Suboxen clinic. It's up to the Dr's what they wanna do from there. Just saying.

Both parents are very angry.....the child is better off where they are. Too early to even attempt to get child custody. (With their angry attitude they won't stay sober long) .....ii is consequences of drug use.

I’ve known two heroin addicts in my life….methadone is a joke….and all I knew from years of experience- is that they wanted from me….and took from me. If I disagreed- anger! Users…in all aspects. I loved these people but had to walk away.

Quitting drugs is easy. It’s just willpower. Any addict who’s still “recovering” who thinks they deserve recognition is still diluted from the drugs You’re either on drugs or off drugs recovering is temporary

In this case, God is holding his hand out to them. They still have agency and if they choose to not take his hand then he can't do anything for them except protect that child. His hand was getting that child to her aunt and asking them to please wake up and repent. that they have to decide.
