I copied this from my support group to post this on every vid I find about Lichen Simplex Chronicus so I can help as many as I can. Maybe it can also help with Lichen Schelrosis, and all other skin auto immune disorders. I read a book called 'Skin Cleanse' by Adina Grigore from my local library. I am a week almost itch free after doing the cleanse. I feel 98% better. I think if I had gone longer I'd be 100% itch free. Slowly but surely I have come a long way to almost feeling normal again. I have not worn any medications or anti itch creams this past week so far. I only use organic unrefined cold pressed extra virgin coconut oil that I get from Aldi's to keep myself moisturized. All day I am almost itch free, but when I do scratch during the day its just a few scratches and it goes away. At night when I'm trying to sleep however is still a little annoying but no where near as miserable as I used to feel. I actually get a pretty decent good night's sleep for a change! It's hard for me to believe it, it's like I'm afraid to think and talk about it so I dont jinx it but I promised to always share with others like me any relief I found. So It's been two days so far after my skin cleanse. I wanted to see how my skin would do after a couple of days before I posted to see if it really worked or not. During that time I had started to swallow 2 teaspoons of cococut oil every morning to give my skin the good natural fats my skin was supposedly craving and drank lots and lots of water and green tea with fresh lemon juice and hot apple cider vinegar water to help detox myself on the inside whie my skin was detoxing itself on the outside. And I also tried to eat more healthy foods like spinach, and broccoli and other good veggies. But I will admit I had some fast food and soda pop in there too..... and bread. Anyway what the book told me to do was for 3 days not to use anything but water to clean my skin with. Yeah ony water. No soap, no body washes, not even face wash, and no shampoo and conditioner. Nothing but water. And if I could stand it by the 3rd day to try to go 2 weeks. Well after the 3rd day I couldnt stand the way I smelled and my hair was oily. To put it blunty I felt gross, but I felt good at the same time. I noticed a huge difference in my skin by the 2nd day. By the 3rd day I was amazed. And by the 4th day I took my shower with organic soap, shampoo, conditioner and face wash and then used coconut oil to moisturize with and felt just...super healthy! So I am definitley going to try that again, but this time I will try to fast (not eat) and only drink water, green tea, and apple cider vingegar water, and if I get hungry to only eat fruit and vegetables, nothing processed or saturated, because not only does the book talk about the outer health, it discusses the inner health of our bodies too. So today I threw away all foods that were processed, and kept only foods that were natural. When I say natural I mean that came from the ground like fruits and veggies etc. I also threw out all my lotions, my aveeno body washes, and face washes and make ups. My plan is to replace everything with non toxic products. Or do some recipes the book had in it for my own beauty regimens. I beg you to give this a book a read. I found it in the library. It's called Skin cleanse by Adina Grigore. It helped me so far, maybe it can help you too. I hope so. Good luck to you and God bless you all.

The only thing that helps me is strong steroid creams like dermovat cream and numbing gel like lidocaine 2% . It's hell on earth living with this condition. At times I have to take opioids to stand the pain of going peeing or taking a shower. It burns like acid to have liquid touch the skin. I have had less flare ups after quitting using soap . During my period I can not use tampons or regular pads, I use the softest baby diapers made of a silk and cotton mix and cut out my own pads . I also use pure unscented baby oil to keep the skin from tearing . Sending love and strength to other living with this condition💕

It took me two years to go to my female Doc (and a tranquiliser) as I was so self conscious and embarassed. When she examined me she said she had never seen anything like it....as I had scratched myself from the insane itchiness to a state of scar tissue. With the right cream over months, healing occured and now it is bearable...just needly 6 mthly examinations as LS can cause vulva cancer sometimes. It was such a relief to get appropriate treatment as I tried countless things over the previous two years and nothing worked....I wish I had gone earlier

I got it shortly after I finished menopause. I'm 67 and have had it for years. I often get that "cigarette paper" type of raised white skin which rubs off in the shower. Sometimes my skin splits into little cuts. I have no pain or itching but have found that an anti-fungal OTC cream helps calm flareups; Crisco also calms redness and other symptoms. Apply after your shower. Reapply before bed. Strangely enough, I had emergency colon surgery, twice, several years ago and the LS condition cleared up completely! My skin looked like a baby's. Unfortunately, after I completely healed, it came back. I guess my immune system had other things to worry about during that time.

It's not a parasite ,itching, stinging, burning, and red swollen skin, skin rolling off when washed down there. I have some relief when I eat broccoli salad, (raw broccoli) and Mediterranean diet, more fish, less meat, meat makes mine worse. Sent for emuaid Max cream so hope that works.

Sent for emuaid Max and tried it overnight last night. Sadly it made my symptoms worse, the stinging and burning were so bad I had to wash it off and go back to the betnovate cream. I've put myself back weeks in the healing process. Skin like a rhino, and a miserable day today. I'm going to just stick to the betnovate that my doctor prescribed. You live n learn I guess.

Vanessa, I was diagnosed this year with autoimmune disorder, and L. S.. Weeks of itching, stinging, redness, and skin just rolling off, GP. was amazing, gave me betnovate, 50/50 and dermol cream instead of soap, I even stopped using hair dyes, and use henna, which actually lasts longer and all natural. Bought a sitz bath from amazon and it really helps. Raw broccoli salads, as much raw fruit and veg helps my immune system heal itself. Due a biopsy via dermatology in October.

My L. S TURNED OUT TO BE NOT L. S. I was misdiagnosed, but I can't blame the GP as it presented exactly like L. S. purple and white raised lesions, burning, itching, stinging, bleeding, I was suicidal. 7 months on and waiting for a hospital bed as it was so bad, my dermatologist took a blood test for diabetes, my blood sugars were through the roof. Put on metformin and glyclazides and I was symptom free in 2 weeks. So it was the onset of diabetes all along. I'm now very very careful to keep my blood sugars between 4-7.8, within normal levels, and iv not had this awful rash since, it crossed my mind therefore, how many others have diabetic rash, not L. S. those who are suffering, you are in my prayers. 🙏🙏

I started using Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap down there a couple of years ago & it seems to prevent bad flareups. I used to use Ivory but it seemed to irritate it more. I'm 73 and no longer have the white papery skin. Now my inner thighs right next to the vagina have started drying out so bad that it's almost like alligator scales, but usually just very dry skin, it comes and goes. I still get red & irritated but not like before.

My skin after 3 months is Red Raw, skin peeling off labia, and white plaques evident. My gp gives me betnovate and my dermatologist gives me me trimovate for intertrigo! The betnovate steroid cream makes it bearable, just. It is a lifestopping utter nightmare, can't tolerate pants still, after 3 months. Never had it before is it lichen sclerosis or intertriygo ? No idea, never had this before. Made slightly more bearable as you vent your woes on the forum, and support each other.
