I cured myself with Vit E oil, cotton panties and panty liners, Activia, brown seaweed, Omega 3 and 7. The Vit E oil seems to be what cured me and in 6 months zero issues. I was diagnosed via biopsy. Good luck to everyone.

Dr. Coyle - I went to your website and read the update from this video. I even reached out because after having this for 7 years or so I have had enough. Laura, I was diagnosed a few months ago. I have been on a ketogenic diet (almost the same as an AIP diet) for 3 years, which I contribute to my LS not progressing as fast or agressively as some. A few months ago (when I first self-diagnosed) I started soaking in my bathtub for 30 minutes at least once a day in 1 cup of Borax, followed by a salve of coconut oil and Hemp. I also ingest a Borax solution 5 days a week. (Borax is just boron, a mineral!). I went to the dermatologist a few weeks ago and she said I was completely inactive :). I have never touched the steroid creams because I was afraid of the side effects. I am in a facebook group for the Borax treatments, if you would like to join :D

Clob + Gluten-Free diet + Vegan diet has worked wonders for me. Also, I would suggest downloading an app called “Think Dirty”, it scans lotions and products of the sort to check for high levels of cancerous chemicals/ingredients. Good thing to avoid those at all costs. I hope you are okay and I hope your LS isn’t too intense. Sorry you’re going through this.

I have never had treatments, had this for many years, Used Clobatisol RX long time, as got older need a lubricant and tried Sweet Almond oil $11.00 bottle in beauty aide supplies (drug Store) no RX needed. Have used for L .S. Many years use it daily, pour some in hand and apply whole area L.S. Has not been an issue since, at 78 yrs old and it makes for awesome lub too, killed two birds with about TBS full , it will stain panties but easy to keep couple extras for those out and about days, everyday use I do not worry about discoloration , good luck and found cotton panties work best for me, fancy if really dressing up occasions.😂

Daily panties use cotton, if special occasion then other, cotton does stain from the Sweet Almond Oil ( Drug Store Purchase) but comfort is more important than pretty, save pretty for other occasional use. Good luck hope this advice is so worth comfort on a daily basis, and pretty for the out and about times.

Amount for us maybe smaller than TBS. Trial and error as it will stain and cotton is best always but fancy for the special outings 😘

Ron Sever thank you for your question. I am going to put together another video “What to expect before and after “ the New Tulip (Patent Pending) procedure”. But to quickly answer your question. There is no “Side Effects” of the procedure. Just healing. Most patients experience some irritation and swelling for a few days. They report after about 3 days they really start to fell better and then they just contort get better. Usually after about a week they have some itching. This is not a return of their LS but rather healing just like if you had a scrap that was healing. Thanks hope this helps.

I've changed my diet to a LOW OXALATE one. I had been on a primarily Vegetarian diet-- HIGH in OXALATES-- thinking things like spinach daily was healthy for me. I have a autoimmune disease, Alopecia Areata. I noticed in the past year, this condition of Lichen Sclerosis developing .... been diagnosed, prescribed steroid ointment & shampoo -- but delayed using . Instead I changed my diet to one of LOW OXALATE and have nearly no symptoms of Lichen Sclerosis. I'll go for another check w dermatologist. At that time I will determine if I should actually start with the steroids. I believe, for myself, understanding and managing the stressors as well as diet, is making a world of difference in overcoming the discomfort of this wretched aliment.

You have given me hope

Sheena I've got severe lichen planus in mouth, vagina and rectal all my vaginal skin is infused together and have had 8 urethral dilations ,vaginoplasty and vaginal stretches since 2005 I'm suffering like hell all I got is steroid cream to use ,I'm under a dermatologist in Birmingham uk I feel like I can't take it anymore

I've lived with this Dx for 3 yrs. now. White patches on my back, upper thigh area. And I have many red spots, having a core inside...weird!! I'm taking Methotrexate - 4/every Friday. I'm not healed, but the red blisters are better, not so angry looking. But the itch all over my body is very intense - once I start to scratch it, I don't want to quit, so I try not to start it!! I also have extreme fatigue, so I try and get as much housekeeping chores done in the a.m. It's not easy to live with this condition...my Dermatologist doesn't know how it came, or if it will ever leave!!

Sharon you are the first to mention fatigue and I read many comments to learn more info. But I to am experiencing fatigue for the last 3 months but have has LS for many years from mild symptoms, including remission, and now I'm post menopausal ,I'm really feeling the severe itching but not all over the body. The fatigue is a new symptom and I'm hoping it's not related to LS. But maybe. Hoping for remission for you.

Hm... sounds like just a different variety of fractional laser doing the same thing as Co2. Actually erbium fractional laser is more superficial than the Co2 fractional. And as a side note the FDA just warned several manufacturers to stop falsely advertising. None of these lasers have been approved or studied in the cure of LS.

is she on treatment?...was she given clobesterol?......Also get rid of gluten in her diet, it seems to help and get her on a low oxolate diet if indeed its lichens, Very odd for it to hit her back. It usually is on the vulva area. Have you checked her private area?...This is not a curable desease, so her tender age is of conceern. Go to a better doctor asap

Thank you for your question. If the discoloration is due to the actual Lichen Sclerosus then the whiteness does go away and normal skin color returns. If the discoloration is actual pigment loss it does not seem to return. Hope this helps.

My sister has suffered with LS for 28 years we live in the UK I will say this underactive thyroid runs in all of the women on our mothers side could this be connected

Thanks for reaching out. Lichen planus is a similar condition but is usually found in the vagina and not the labia or vulva. With have treated Lichen Planus but it is a different treatment on the inside of the vagina

I've got the same symptoms as lichen sclerosis, it started in my mouth,skin, and since 2005/6 its in my vagina and rectum aswell it is called SEVERE LICHEN PLANUS,I'm suffering like he'll, so please be aware LICHEN PLANUS ISN'T JUST IN THE VAGINA THANKYOU

Take 1 garlc pill everyday and 1 Braggs vinegar the Mother and as long as you take these pills everyday , probably the rest of you're life , you will have no more problems. But I like what this Doctor is saying about the laser treatment. I would rather do that as long as it wouldn't interfere with my sex life. I am so grateful that there are Doctors that really care and are doing research on this subject. Thank You. Could it also be our diet with skin allergies?
