OMG, head gasket on a Lexus really ? Never had or heard of one failing on one of those, so no I haven’t made a vid on one sorry.

@@DaringBeefcake it’s all over web stating it’s a common issue in the ct200😓😓 . I changed out spark plugs and housing 1 coil . And things were fine and now agin some noises . Did some research and a bunch of threads states it can be the head gasket .

how much did you charge for this?

I think an hour and a half. So around £120 plus diagnostics equipment to delete fault codes something like that.

Hi, I have cleaned the valve in the past and it did work for a while. But perhaps I didn’t do it very well. So by all means you could try cleaning the egr valve. It gets very stuck. Also Toyota recommends using 5w/30 rather than 0w/20 oil. That’s what they told me. Hope this helps. Don’t forget to like and subscribe.

@@DaringBeefcake thank you for your reply i got the code p0401 egr flow insufficient detected.Do you think i should replace the cooler also or just by replacing the valve will do?i got no engine light yet

@@simioone4162 well I never had to to change the intercooler, but the cars I worked on had low mileage so I used and air gun to and clean the intercooler a bit, once you remove the egr you can see if the intercooler is blocked or is ok.
