the craziest part about this ride is that if its a windy day the whole thing sways back and forth when u get to the top so it almost feels unstable and if superman the ride goes the entire structure shakes and its scary as fuck

The view is great up there, but what can make you very uneasy is that they build anticipation by leaving you up there for about 10 seconds. now these 10 seconds are not just you waiting to drop, its so you can FEEL and SEE the tower waving side to side with the wind, feeling the metal bend as you hang 400FT in the hair is not a good look. Any way the drop is to fast to be scary but the whole thing has some suspense and thats an A+.

They do that on Superman, at least nowadays. You won't get a warning when they shoot you off, they just hit it- unlike the other rides where they shout "are you ready" and do that whoot whoot thing, haha.

I don't know why I don't like rides where I am suspended like this, but if I am in constant motion like a roller coaster I am fine, no matter how scary the coaster is supposed to be.

Have you ever wondered why your stomach feels strange when you're plummeting downwards on a drop ride? When you're standing on the ground, the force that you notice isn't the downwards pull of gravity, but the upwards force of the ground beneath. This pushes up on your feet, and in turn on your bones and organs. When you're in freefall, there is barely any net force acting upon you. The individual parts of your body are no longer pushing on each other as they normally do - instead, they are effectively "floating" inside you, falling at their own rate. We aren't used to this feeling, which is why our brains sense that something is amiss. That sinking feeling in your stomach comes because there is less force acting upon it, and it is suddenly very light.

Read an article about a girl that had long hair, and when she dropped on this ride, her hair got caught in something on the ride that didn't drop with their little chair thing, so it yanked that piece of her hair completely out of her head. But it's ok, she's alive and well, she claims that it didn't even hurt that much. But still, wear your hair up on these kinds of rides.

as someone who's been on this ride multiple times i can tell you, the height is more intimidating than the drop itself.

The trick on these types of rides is to hold your breath then when it drops let it all out and you won’t feel anything . 👌🏽

i love the fact this is showing proof that objects fall at the same speed, considering the drop chairs are not similar in shape to the roller coaster, nor do the sides weigh exactly the same, ah science, you do show off sometimes!

I went on this today and can't wait to go again! The ride up and the anticipation of the drop are scarier than the actual ride down....for some reason I didn't feel the "stomach dropping" feeling like I do on shorter free fall rides

The height you see at 1:35 ,at the very top of the ride,kinda makes me wanna toss a paper air plane just to see how far it can go from that height,you know??

Those shoulder straps aren't doing anything! That one girl totally was able to move her arms to the interior section of the harness with ease. I would not go on that one. I do like how they made two rides out of one tower though. That's neat. Overall I hate free fall rides. I've been on Drop Zone at Great America probably ten times, but chickened out twice as well which doesn't include the first few times I was in line for it. I just recall how awful it feels and decide to walk out as my friends get strapped in. My friend was on it when the little boy fell to his death, because he wasn't properly strapped in and was trying to escape it because he was terrified. That friend hasn't been on it since for good reason. It was just awful that a parent and a ride operator allowed that to happen. I've also been on The Tower of Terror and those free fall rides that keep bouncing you up and down, and I don't like the sensation at all. I will never go sky diving... ever.

Absolutely loved this ride!! Went on it yesterday. I was really hesitant as I don't like free falls. My heart was jumping out of my throat. Once you're up there they lag the drop for about 10-15 seconds. You're just sitting in mid air. I was able to open my eyes for a few seconds. Overall amazing ride! The views amazing and the drop is unbelievable. Definitely doing this again!

I love how you hear people's screams then just " *PFFFTFFTTFFT* " as the wind blows into the mic then you hear them again at the end of the drop.

I rode that while pregnant and my baby popped out of the womb during the free-fall, he landed on a concessions stand in a hot dog bun, I sold the child to the park for a bowl of nachos with extra jalapeno's, they put the newborn in the janitorial storage and once they child reached the age of 3 they put him to work on cleaning below the roller coasters. He is still there today, I visit him but I dont tell him I am his parent

I really liked this one. I love how they taunt you after you get to the top. They force you to realize that you're 400 feet in the air. It was fun. Great view, too :P After I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain, the freefall rides at Castles and Coasters were so disappointing xD

I love this ride so much. Just the suspense of being up there and when it starts swaying. But this is one of my best rides.

Finally went on this today and it was amazing! I was really nervous before but it is such a fun drop!

If you were to free fall would you fall faster than these drop rides? these rides feel like they push you down faster than your body is falling.

+SouthCalifas619 You would initially fall at the same rate as this ride. As you got faster, air resistance would become more and more of a factor. With the ride being as tall as it is, you might get fast enough for air resistance to create a small difference before the ride reached the brakes.

The ride is falling the speed of gravity but because the ride is heavier it reaches its max velocity faster than you do, which means it speeds past your max velocity quickly after the release of the drop.

I want to go on that, but at the same time I don't...

Most likely, probably not TPR's, Six Flags probably distributes them.

Dont' let your nerves get to you; you can scream as loud as you want; curse as loud as you want; it makes you feel 10x better riding things like this . From experience!

I remember being so nervous while waiting in line. The view is nice from above. When we dropped I honestly didn’t feel that weird feeling in your stomach. Definitely worth to at least ride once.

When I first watched this like 4 or 5 years ago, I was a little kid thinking if I ever got to this ride I would never ride it. Now to modern day I love this ride to bits and I’ve been on it at least 20 times

When I first watched this I was 8 and I never thought I would ride this. Four years later, I rode it now it’s one of my favorites in the park

I got stuck on this ride for about 30 minutes. No way to no when it will drop… clutching my new designer sunglasses in my sweaty hands. It was the worst experience ever.

That one person who rode the ride before the video and while he was watching it his stomach started to hurt.

RubLox yes really. i was an extra during the commercial shoot of twisted colossus. they used a very expensive drone which is much cheaper than using a helicopter

RubLox it was a black helicopter drone with 4 rotors. it was a about 3 feet wide.

Not that really more expensive than a dslr probably around 950 bucks wich is really cheap for that kind of technology

Surprisingly it's not that hard.I mean at first you have to get used to the controls but after about 10 minutes of flying it's pretty easy.Not to mention fun i have a friend that actually owns one

I'm scared of highs but I still get on the rides I hope one day my fear goes away. I love all the rides thank you for sharing your experience

I will never get on this ride heck no it's too scary I will Never get on even if someone paid me. I could get on all but no not this ride

Seriously it's not that bad. I'm 10 and I went on it and it's not as scary as I thought it would be

It's not that bad:) but I guess it depends on the person too. When I got out of the ride my whole body was numb and tingling lol. It felt so cool x)

The droop of doom is definitely a ride on my bucket list practically all of six flags parks!!!...😎❤️💯👏🏻👍🏼👌🏼😍🍀😘🥰😮😱🤪😋😛😝😜🎢
