Given how Floch was the sole survivor of the scouts final mission to rush the Beast titan he definitely has survivors guilt which changed his mental state. Sure Levi survived too but he was charging along his comrades just to outlive them all. When Floch first appeared he was optimistic and sure that they would retake wall maria and save Humanity just to find out Humanity was the very reason they were on that Island.

Before he ate Bertolt, he was pretty much as nice as Historia was pretending to be Christa, but afterwards you could see him having a guilty conscience and not anywhere as upbeat. @@Jeffroooo bro what are you smoking erwin would not have supported the rumbling at all. his dream was to learn the truth of the world and how would he be able to achieve that if he allowed eren to destroy all other life beyond the walls? he would never support killing on a global scale. after his arm was bitten off he tells levi “how many soldiers do you think i’ve sent to their deaths? one arm isn’t enough to make up for that. i hope i’ll be able to pay back the rest when i end up in hell.” yes he was a ruthless commander but he never gambled with lives without reason and it was stated multiple times that he deeply despised his own actions. he would be sickened by what eren is doing and do everything in his power to stop him if he were alive.

Hey turtle Quirk is everything okay? like i would really like to see the next break down but at this point i’m just concerned

The scene with Armin and Mikasa was my favourite one of this episode. It really shows that after all, they’re just humans. Moments like that in AOT are always very well executed. Armin is tired AF like anyone in their situation would be, and Mikasa is worried about Eren, even after all the horrible things he had done. If someone close to me would commit a crime I’d definitely be angry at them, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t care about them any more. Then Armin snapping at Mikasa and regretting it right afterwards feels just humane and relatable. No matter how clever and smart you may be, there are times you just feel frustrated and tired. Overall this was a great episode as always and it was nice to finally hear Annie’s story!

To me when it came to the Mikasa and Armin scene, everyone is under alot of pressure because of Eren and the things going on and they don’t know what to do. But only they have the power to stop Eren and the Yagerists if no one else will do it they need to do something at least, Armin breaking down is a human aspect in this situation cause not every person has a plan for every situation no one is always prepared as for Mikasa she was just in distress and wanted some level of reassurance that Eren wasn’t a lost cause. She had to deal with Eren saying he hated her and calling her a slave to the Ackerman DNA and the rumbling all in the same day

One thing I cannot overlook is the audio, remember when we could FEEL the ground shake when a titan was approaching? The “rumbling” visually has really let me down. Even in the anime Armin is says he is struggling to hear mikasa but I think/feel/need to hear the ground crumbling. Instead it’s like the titans are on a relaxing stroll.

I felt sorry for Annie when I found out that Reiner pressured her to go as far as she did for the mission, when she was ready to cut their losses and go home. You could tell that she didn't have the heart to be as ruthless as Marley would have wanted her to be. EDIT: Yes, she was brutal when the situation demanded it, but many times, like when they left Marco to die, she did not enjoy it one bit. EDIT 2: Jesus Christ. I am regretting writing this comment... Imo it depends how this all plays out. I'm fairly certain Erwin would've sided with Eren. After all he was the guy who set up the scenario that led to Annie and Eren fighting in the city. He also pretty much always planned around the fact that Eren was the only way to save the humans inside the walls and to achieve that end he was willing to sacrifice literally everything including himself. Erwen mightve made it so the Jaegerists never became a thing though since he likely would've seen it coming in time but that doesn't mean he would've stopped Eren

If he had survived and got to see the outside world there are more chances he would be inclined to Zeke's plan more than Eren. Because Erwin would consider the possibility that the whole revenge and stuff would ultimately end up happening in Paradis island even after the rumbling is done and dusted, just like what Armin mentions in this episode. And Erwin being the guy he is would definitely try his best to stop Eren from going this far.

Absolutely. It was a ridiculous emotional decision by Levi who should never have been given that power. Erwin should have put Hange in charge of the serum, as a scientist & 2nd in command. Ridiculous to pick a kid without leadership experience over the best commander & one of the smartest guys in the land. Erwin would have regained control over the situation somehow - certainly he would never have been taken in by the Volunteers or Yelena or Floch.

Forgot how much I love aot and needing to keep an eye on each new episode

-I still think they should convince Connie to let his mom inherit the jaw titan after Falco’s 14 years, since the time won’t matter to her and he only has 14 years with her regardless. -This episode was necessary but not quite as good or hype as the previous few. -Annie coming back isn’t all that interesting or necessary for the story to me but her backstory was good. -It’s really interesting how people are reacting like they do in other apocalyptic scenarios like Zombie movies and stuff. Tons of chaos and people taking power. -Glad they gave Floch a believable motivation because I thought it was weird he started acting like a villain all the sudden.

Think of the situation with Connie's mom as her suffering from dementia: yes, time is meaningless while she is a titan, but seeing her like this is painful to those who care for her (namely, Connie). Now, there's a way to "free her" from her dementia-like state -- killing someone else, a specific person to be exact. In this situation, would you wait for more than a decade to maybe her your mother back (Gilliard was only into his 3rd year as Titan Shifter before he himself got eaten, who is to say that unforeseen events won't happen again), or would you try to achieve your goal here and now, while you have custody of the specific person that you need to kill? Maybe Connie can be reasoned with, but that looks like a tall order at the moment.

I really like your videos, the only reason why I haven't devoured your entire content is because I haven't read the manga yet and your videos contain many spoilers.

Unpopular opinion, but it seems like they are dragging the finale at snails pace. I feel like I have watched 4 episodes of the Titans march to war and not any actual attack on titan. Great storytelling and all but if you saturate the story too much at the end, it may end up becoming another Game Of Thrones kind of finale. Many story arcs will be at risk of being abandoned or left hanging.

I started thinking the same then realised they still have a load of chapters to go through before Eren even makes land fall on Marley. If the total is 12 episodes I don't think they will finish the story because they will have maybe around 7-8 chapters left. I feel like we may end up with a movie to end the story and tell the final chapters.

@@carlosciudadreal1842 Yeah I agree, but I looked at how much ground they need to cover in the story and the time they have with the chapters. 7-8 chapters roughly translates to 2 hrs 30 minutes of screen time. If you noticed they are concluding certain story arcs and adding new branches at the same time. I really hope they manage to conclude the finale in the best possible way, otherwise, I can foresee a mad dash to the finishing line.
