Usually the dwarves disappear in a fun and joking manner, but we actually see them leave and there is no fun only sadness.

It's even more heartbreaking when Brok knows what will happen to him when he dies; to completely cease to exist, no afterlife whatsoever. Yet even with something as damning as that, he still forgives Sindri. His only wish is for Sindri to let him go.

Do they state that he will cease to exist? If the soul is an actual thing that can be fragmented and retrieved, that means that what Brok is currently is what is left of him outside the lake. I would think that being denied an afterlife in this lore wouldn't mean ceasing to exist and more of never finding rest such as becoming a shade.

@@SakuraShirakawa By what the dialogues have been saying, once a soul loses its direction, the soul cannot find its way back to the the Light of Alfheim and will be lost forever. But when Atreus asked Mimir if there is a way to retrieve Brok's soul, Mimir said they would have done something if there was a way. Although, that does kinda hint that there may be a way to get his soul back, probably a forgotten deep magics.

almost everyone i know or have watched goes on a war path after this part. like up until now side quests were fun and inviting but after THIS we all went for odins throat without waiting

I've heard that the lead director said, when they were planning the game, one of the story beats *had* to be Brok dying. When asked why by one of the other devs, he replied "Because Brok is the family dog."

Sums up his character, loyal, brave, heart of Gold and most importantly right when it comes to instincts

Brok’s character was one of my favorites because he reminded me so much of my grandad. A few days after I finished the game he died. Scene hits pretty hard.

Never heard of Special Edd before these and I appreciate how into it he gets.

Same, I binged his entire Ragnarok playthrough after seeing him in a clip a week or so ago and he's great. Hilarious, but still feels for the characters and catches onto some story beats quicker than other players. He actually takes the time to appreciate the emotion in the scenes rather than trying to crack jokes 24/7 for views or whatever, his style is awesome for really story driven games like this.

Eddie is part of a KZread group called the Boys and he’s my personal favorite. Always cracking jokes but never afraid to get serious or sad. He explained in his GOW4 play through that he played all of the old GOW games as an escape from reality because he was bullied constantly, and the games helped him with his anger

Worse part about it, the place Sindri is staying is the place that ,he and Brok reunited, Reforging something that broke

This part of life. Brok was the best. Sindri will now have such a hard time to heal his wounds.

hearing sindri whisper "love you" hits right in the feels

Fun but sad fact: You can visibly hear Sindri say "Love you" to Brok after he dies.

Bear is fucking awesome. Raebs Lament adds to the sadness

GoW 2018's emotional scenes was NOTHING compared to this along with Sindri's sadness and anger! This game blew my mind.

He doesn't forgive sindri for bring him back. He forgives sindri knowing that when he dies he'll be denied a after life.

If you notice the music, it's the same melody Reab (Bear) plays at Brok's funeral.

The music in that scene makes me cry every time The way Brok’s upbeat part of the music just isn’t there anymore, and there’s just Sindri’s sadness

No matter what every time I see this and the funeral I can't help but salute and cry when I see him. Rest in peace brok. The most lovable blue dwarf ever.

Just got past this part and man I’m deadass emotional asf off this, made us relate to Atreus’s pain too it’s crazy

Sindri should replace the Bird in Hel, find the soul piece that Brok was missing (Or use his own soul part) and reforge Brok's soul not to resurrect him but simply so that he can rest in peace. Ending with Sindri bound to Hel, where his brother's soul would now be, reuniting with him in a sense. AND IT SHOULD BE A DLC

I like the idea of Sindri finding a way for Brok to live peacefully in the afterlife

I grew attached to brok for his funny voice lines, my heart shattered when he died, and the line his brother gives later. "i gave you everything, and now what do i have, not even my family"

The theme/sad music for Sindri is absolutely amazing

Their first appearance from the 2014 really made us laugh and happy for their "reunion" ( because they were fakely hate each others ). I love them both but I hope any of you isn't mad that I choose Sindri to be my favourite But now, Old-in make us cry and fill with rage.

Very tragic and poetic that the 1st time we see the realm stepping they do is when brok died.

Honestly this shit was soo emotional i wasnt even playing the game i just watch the walkthroughs but this shit hits me in the feels almost cried. Its like iron man dying again 😭

Honestly this scene strikes a chord with me I have a brother and we've always had a friendly rivalry but purely out of fun and we've had our moments where we hurt each other due to certain circumstances but we made up because of our history together and if I was sindri I honestly would probably do the same for my bro like he did for brok cause he's the one who pretty much knows me as much as our mom but I can't imagine a life without my brother but yeah seeing sindri lose brok in the worst way possible just hits a deep cord

It's hard to tell, but the words Sindri whispers right after Brok passes is "I love you." It's not captioned for some reason.

Saddest thing in this game but also cool to see how the dwarves travel between realms.

I can already see Cory’s reaction in my mind. He’s gonna pause the game as “tyr” stabs brok and start yelling, then he’s gonna pause it again when they do the reveal along with more yelling. Then he’s gonna sit in silent tears while this scene unfolds. Then he’s gonna end the game, possibly for good.

No matter how much he cusses, he's truly an honest friend to boot.

God everytime I watch this is hurts as bad as the first shocking time. Brok was such a good character and even on his deathbed he’s trying to help sindri, despite knowing he died and lost some of his soul, and probably knowing what death would mean again he still uses his final moment to tell sindri he forgives him and to let go so he isn’t weighed down by guilt instead of blaming him for putting his incomplete soul ack in him…also I never see anyone mention this, like nobody but right after brok dies and sindri is almost speechless, he gives a trembling whispered “I love you” before vanishing and agh. It’s such a twist of the knife

I've seen a few reaction compilations from other channels where clips from both Jacksepticeye and Markiplier have been mostly cut out, leaving less than a second to the end of the clip. Maybe they don't like having their clips be used in these compilations. That, or it could be a case where those channels don't have Mark or Seán's consent to use the clips. I can't say for absolute certain what it is.

Been wondering the same. He is the only gaming streamer i watch and he is never included.

Moistcr!tical has one of those faces and voices that doesn't give a damn bout anything and you just want to knock him out to shut him up. I've seen his playthrough of this and the amount of times he's disrespectful like something emotional happens and he's like "yeah boo hoo no one f'ng cares lets move on" is just ARRGHH its ok to criticise but disrespectful? No sorry if something bad happens to him no tears from me cause its not just this game its a lot of things. Anyway sorry for my angry rant its just people like that pisses me off sorry again 😅😂
