Not at all. They are exaggerated. Thor in this game is described as an alcoholic psychopath who beats up his kids to near death and kills giants for fun. In the mythos he is considered Midgard's protector and he takes down Trolls and Jotuns who put Midgard in Danger. He never beated up his kids and he never killed humans when they pissed him off as we saw on the myth where the two kids break the bone of one of his magical goats and instead of killing them and their family like this Thor would have done, he accepts their services and travel together with Loki. This is just one example, the mythos are also changed to fit the narrative of the game where the Aesir are tyrants while the rest of races are victims.

@@teatarou I have completed it twice and i don't think so. Odin may be the one pulling the strings but Thor himself has stated he has killed way too many people. The Einherjar has destroyed places such as Svartalfheim or Vanaheim and tbh, every Aesir we have met aside from Tyr, Mimir (idk if i should even include him considering he is far more of a Tuatha Dé Danann than an Aesir), Siff or Thrúd has been massive douchebags. Magni, Modi, Baldr, Heimdall, Thor and Odin clearly showed no intentions towards peace whatsoever (Thor literally says he doesn't care who threw the first punch with Balder and his sons, he just wanted to fight), so even if Odin is the one who makes the decision that doesn't take away the fact that the vast majority of Aesir are potrayed in this way when in the mythos they are the embodiments of order, while the Jotuns are the embodiments of chaos and they are depicted as peace-seeking kind hearted people when that couldn't be more far from the truth. the only Jotun who truly felt myth accurate was Angrboda's grandma. Don't want to sound like a hater or anything, i enjoyed the hell out of the game despite not being myth accurate, just trying to raise awareness about this.

I'm glad that they made Thor win the first exchange. Made him feel like an actual threat to kratos.

Thor is one of the very few men who could kill Kratos and yet, he decided to bring him back. I’d say it was a fatal mistake on his part.

Little late but Kratos doesn’t need to snap his fingers for mjolnir to come he just does it to assert his command at the hammer like calling a butler

I love how accurate this version of Thor is. The strongest men in the world actually have large stomachs and Thor drinks and eats a ton! I don’t know if this bit is in God of War but in actual mythology Thor eats two goats a day as well and is constantly eating and partying. Of course someone like that would have a gut.

i mean gorr was meant to represent kratos’ bloodlust. gorr had similar intentions that prime kratos had, but kratos didnt want a war but gorr eas fueled with toxic desires

Honestly when I was fighting him, I was really into it, had it on hard mode (I played the first on normal), I was dying a lot, and I was low on health during that moment, so when it happened, I was really blown away!!

This is the reason why I excuse Cory’s terrible upload schedule; he’s actually entertaining
