At 67, I'm one of those "old guys" you were talking about. 12 years in, I can now hover in all upright and inverted orientations. It doesn't matter that I am a slow learner and still a novice pilot; my #1 goal has always been to HAVE FUN (safely); and that, I do! @Sean - I really enjoy your videos and the positive attitude you exude is contagious! (And your excellent editing/production qualities get high marks - i.e. thank you for NOT wasting my time with fluff.) HD is rapidly becoming one of my go-to suppliers and this interview has cemented that status- (e.g. my shiny new S2 from HD should arrive tomorrow!) Thanks again! +1

Quick update... My new S2 arrived from HD yesterday. Spent the day leisurely setting it up (Taranis X9DP-SE running OpenTX 2.2 w/IRX4 4-in-1 MPM on S-FHSS protocol,) and maidened it this evening; hovering at low headspeed indoors. 1st impressions: After running 6 crash-free packs (and 25 minutes) through her I can honestly say that this is, hands down, the finest micro helicopter I've ever flown! I am so impressed that I couldn't help myself -- I just ordered a new pink Goosky S1 with all the spare trimmings from HD! Note that when I first started with RC helis back in 2012, my (modest) goal was to be able to do a simple loop. I achieved that in 2018 along with flipping to inverted using both pitch and roll. I've decided to up my goal to include continuous flips and rolls, (and possibly a single piroflip in the distant future?) I think that these next-gen, precise-yet-durable, DD micros, just may help get me there. Thanks again Sean, and watch out Tareq, I'm not far behind! ;-)

@widgewunner AWESOME!!! Helis are definitely intimidating at first but it get easier as you learn. Been flying helis half my life now and started with micros. After hearing so many people say how amazing this little heli is I'm thinking it's a must have! Thanks for sharing your story and keep up the good flying progress! Cheers

Tareq is an amazing human being. I have been following him since his early Align days. If you needed someone to trash a 600 Nitro around, Tareq was the man! His flying style never changed, he only got better and crazier. So, so many people in the helicopter world look up to him! I didn't know he was in his 40's already! Same here, everytime I start talking about my hobby and wanna show people what an rc heli is capable of, I bring up old tareq videos and they are almost in disbelief! I love it

Gosh I am SO jealous. Talking one-on-one with Tareq is one of the things that would mark me not just in the hobby but overall since he is such a great guy. I have connected with him via KZread and Instagram and he is always such a positive force. I've been trying to interview him for our podcast but definitely seems like the only way would be to just go over there like you did. That was so great.

My all time favorite heli pilot!!! Tareq has been a massive inspiration for me and wanting to progress. I'd love to meet him some day!!! 💪🏻🔥😎
