Being a retired USN Cheif who actually served in a HSL squadron in the early eighties, that Helo should be able to carry two Mk46's. ALWAYS launch the HELO to prosecute the contact then engage with surface ships.

Hi Wayne. Snorkel and ping go away at the start of the enemy sub turn. BTW, great video. Love the sound effects and missile videos. The Tico ship does need to be in the Screening force to use the Missile Shield (see 1.3.3)

Thanks, your vid is great boost to me learning rules, just like a ASROC. Being Ex navy from the 70/80's I can pull fault with it, on whole SL is very good game. Not very impressed with amount of blank counters in the box.

They were actually 3D printed by a friend, but DVG has started selling them, or something very similar. You can try Googling "DVG Leader card tray" or search "air Leader compatible tray" on Etsy.

Should you have applied the Wolfpack SO penalty when you first drew it? The instructions state to apply the penalty immediately and apply every turn until destroyed. Appreciate the playthrough!

Yeah, that makes sense if you’re just playing a single mission. This video is very useful for those trying to learn this game, like me. I may watch Dean’s (designer’s) video playthrough too.

Good idea. And as always, follow the rulebook over what some video (like this one) says if it seems in conflict with them. I'm glad the video is useful, that's always my goal.

Wayne, you may have already mentioned this, but where did you get those very cool card/counter holders? By the way, another way to end an encounter is to push the enemy units off the display by maneuvering (forward, left or right). I've done that a few times to adjust the odds in my favor (assuming no starred ships of course).

I actually got them from Tim (he commented on this video also)! They are 3D printed trays. Tim is basically a 3D guru, and I don't even have a 3D printer anyway, so I begged him to make me some. They are amazing! I highly recommend them.

Where did you get those card trays that hold the ship and ordinance?

One thing worth clarifying is that you could have skipped the second encountered, if you wanted to, due to their not being any starred ships in the TF. Not a big deal since your Target was in the first zone, but worth considering if you had to travel fruther.

Tim, Wayne mentioned that you made those card trays. Do you have more available?

Wayne, not sure of the answer here, but there was some question if the Tico may not be able to use the missile shield to protect other ships if it is not in a screening force position. Just wondering if this has been clarified anywhere.
