    Love this series! One suggestion, fuel prices. Even if you set fuel consumption to high, it's still ridiculously small, you can run tractor for entire season and never refuel, when IRL fuel is one of the biggest cost. Maybe edit xml and add a zero to price? I'm not kidding, x2 or x3 still means that you can go months without refueling. And it's opening up another level of realism, you have to think which tractor to use, horsepower is no longer just the price of buying a machine, buying seed in bulk to save a trip makes sense etc.

    Looks like Dennis has been stacking bales again 😂 honestly this might be my favorite series in a long time, because it's okay and natural to learn as you go. That wheel loader can definitely hold more, when you tried you can grip between the two bales after they're stacked.

    Now that you have dynamic loans installed, I would think that instead of renting, you should see what you wish to purchase and then get a loan from the bank for that individual piece of equipment. That mod is great for that style of play. You have to ensure that your farm makes enough so that the bank doesn't get mad at you, but also forces you to think about what you actually need. Renting for a one off thing, sure, but a tedder and windrower, well, that is something that is needed for long term use, so a farmer would purchase that with a bank loan.

    Awesome series! Possible additions for realism: Rain Pain - fields will adapt to the environment and impact implements (frozen, wet, etc) Mud System - fields will be muddy when it rains DEF AdBlue - added DEF as an option to newer tractors Also, the multi-terrain angle is only supported on PC, so a map maker would need to create a separate version with support (ex. Bally Spring and Court Farms)

    It's realistic to use pallet forks to load bales, we do on our farm irl. There's many stupid things that can be done in FS that can be done irl mate. Hey bud, just been thinking of the 1 day per month thing, and i get why, but would it be an idea to maybe have 5 days per month but put the speed of each day upto 5x what you currently have it set too, if 5 seems a little fast maybe do 3 days and so 3x the speed of time?? Just a little idea i was thinking of, would give you the same amount of real time but also give multiple days in each month??

  • @Steveypants

    @Steveypants

    Ай бұрын

    I think I agree with this. Maybe go to 4 days, so each day is a week, and then do 10x or 15x time speed. That way it's less of a rush and you could do a couple of days an episode, maybe? It might enable you to give a nice slow-paced coverage of more jobs, especially as you get more and more to do. You might have one main job per day, and then you won't miss getting stuff done each month, or go too long between cuts on the grass, etc. Might also help with less repetition between episodes.

    When we do silage, we wrap the bales in storage even though they were wrapped on the field you always get holes and tears in the first wrap. But its already unrealistic you don't cut grass for silage in September it should be May for the highest quality early May is best. And you must always role and mulch early spring the grass should be at 3cm first growth stage and dry. No fertilizer no ploughing has it will bring moisture to the surface. In the UK we add sand to the pre mulched ground.

    Hey Daggerwin! Stoked to see so many of my mod ideas added. I did forget to mention though that Dashboard Live needs setting up on tractors you want to use it on, which is quick once you know what you're doing but is time consuming to start with. The mod does have PDFs in the mod folder... but it involves messing around in xml files and such. Not a plug and play mod, unfortunately so probably not worth keeping on unless you want to get your hands dirty. All said and done... I like just the zoom functionality that it has baseline, so it's not entirely useless without xml changes lol Glad to hear you're doing a bit better, and can't wait to see more!! EDIT: Looking at your menu screen, Crop Rotation might not be enabled or installed correctly. You should have a crop rotation planner in the menu, and when walking over a field you should have a HUD element showing your crop rotation status (Bad / Perfect / etc.)

    Enhanced animal mod is a must if you are trying to run animals in a realism series. It is not perfect, but it is far better than the rudimentary animal system you have in the base game. Plus baby animals! Also since you are playing at a slower pace you might also consider either lowering the time or increasing the number of days per month, until you are busy but not overwhelmed.

    Not sure this is the right map for this series if I'm honest, no multi terrain angle (a big immersion breaker in a realism series), a dealers that's not a dealer but looks more like a neighbouring farm, if the gates not wide enough to get every piece of equipment available to buy out of it then it's not fit for purpose as a dealership imo, and the terrain smoothing in the main yard is a bit poor too if I'm honest. I must say though aside from those map issues for me it's a great series and I am enjoying it, I vote yes to IC capable tractors and Manual attaching mod too. Keep up the great work mate (and maybe edit the dealership gates at the very least).

    Perhaps an option to make those silage bales easier to handle would be to make them at the smaller size. This would make them easier to be picked up by picking them up in two. I saw you try to pick two up by grabbing the bottom bale only with the top one sliding off. Grab them in the middle of the two bales and life may be easier.

    Do you think with the bail grab would it work wjen you've stacked one on top of the other to position the claw right inbetween the two of them so you clamp down on both bails

    I noticed that you tend to play at 5x or 6x time, and frequently run out of time or have to do chores in the dark. Why not play at Real Time? You can get a lot more done and "finishing early" is never a bad thing (in-game or IRL)!

    When you are stacking the bales, do you use the mouse controls for the frontloader arm or do you use a joystick?

    It can't be a real series if there isn't a dog. Bring back Doggerwin! 🐕

    Daggerwin, I think keeping the time at 5x or anything higher than real time restricts the progress per calendar month which feels a bit wrong for a realistic series and it also keeps the overall progress quite low for the series.

    We have a shop sorted mod that sorts the shop into price order so when you go into a category it starts with the cheapest and each one goes up in price that might come in handy
