I'm definitely going to spend some time in Wisconsin. My company has a facility in Sturgeon Bay. I visited a few years ago in June. It's a beautiful area. I drove up to Lake Michigan one afternoon. Very excited to go back.
I have 3 questions. How easy is it to fit residential furniture through the front door ? One of the key requirements of and bus build is the ability to put regular lazboy recliners inside the shuttle bus. Would I be able to fit a regular or large size lazboy recliner through that small opening front entrance door ? My last question is do you need a CDL to drive your shuttle bus conversion ?

Can’t say I tried fitting any residential furniture through the door of mine, so I can’t provide much insight there. However, I have seen a lot of people who have fit couches/lazboys onto their buses so it seems doable! The door opening on mine is 36” wide. You don’t need a CDL to drive my bus and most buses will be that way. Some states may require special licenses if your bus is over 26000lbs and has air brakes, but you’d have to check the requirements for your state.

Hey Debbie! The bed Is a queen and for now I have 2 Maxxfans, one above the bed and one where the old emergency exit was. I’ll probably install a mini split down the road but for now it’s just the fans. For heat I’ll have a diesel heater under my couch
