Hi guys, we used the wrong B-roll in this video at 1:21. We searched for footage of the capital of Iran and purchased a video that we thought was appropriate, but it turned out to be footage of the capital of Lebanon. We apologize for this mistake and have blurred the Lebanese flag in the video. We will be more careful next time. Thank you.

Summary for u: As a successful investor who invested in early Paypal, Dropbox, he is investing more in delivery startups now which means delivery companies are profitable and innovative nowadays, and that’s something we should look out for as well. “People” is the only thing you should focus on, when you look for a unicorn company to invest in, not only their idea. 20% of the unicorn companies they invest in succeed, as starting a startups is very hard, thus its better to collaborate with others than do it alone. Immigrants are very hard-working than an average local so most of the startups from immigrants succeed.
guy got his fortune through family business and plastic companies that pollute the world. Then invested in the right companies to become extremely rich. wow great entrepreneur

If he was a from the US or from any white origin he would've been inspirational. This is getting so old now. Wake up, this ain't 60s anymore, though you would love to go back to it.
I loved the fact that you made emphasis in your failures too, this couldn't have been more inspirational. Thaaanks

It's always the hindsight that made everything seemed simple, yet, at that instant, a yes or no really made a great difference, either a boom or a bust, such a game, I will be delighted to take part in.
I sincerely thank the team for sharing these valuable experiences and insights. this Video made me look back a lot on what kind of attitude I should have from a long-term perspective. Really learned a lot. thank you team
This is by far the most exciting video Ive seen in years. Thanks
I really like this youtube channel because It has subtittle in my mother tongue. I hope they keep it, it really helpful for someone like me
This is so good!
This is One of my favorite videos, this philosophy of fail fast, is really important for you to realize maybe this idea is not it, pivot and build what actually is an impactful, long lasting idea. Love your videos. I would love to see Latino and African entrepreneurs or investors in here. Much love from Colombia 🇨🇴 ❤
Great content. There is so much mis information online these days, this is quality.
thanks for this sir
I'm seeing grey hair now since 12 years ago when he showed his startups tour guide on one of his building. Nice guy.
Great video - thankyou to all
A true entrepreneur will rise up on every fall till he succeeded.. after all his companies nationalised in Iran, he started a fresh in USA. Respect you Sir 🙏

i strongly agree that threre is no other way to learn about failure than actually trying it yourself. The key to success is not avoiding failure, but failing fast and learning from it ! nice video 😁7:46
Such insteresting stories from this guys
Investment. Good info about what is good startups. And what to look in them.
Thanks to Saeed for his remarkable stories and input. He was very firm and articulate and I would love to one day have a conversation with him one on one
He is amazing...👍
This is what makes Silicon Valley great
Thank you for the insight, Saeed, furthermore, how he can manage in early stage of Plug and Play ?
Gotta love the story of a founder who started producing/selling cultural products to transition into angel investing.
amazing guy
Please we want podcast version
According to most comments he was born and relocated to the best place and on perfect timing that is True. But he worked his butt off to make money to invest in unicorn and non-unicorn companies. See the important factors are working hard to have excess money and brave enough to take risk with the money. Unless we buy lotto tickets we can't expect to win the jackpot. One more thing he had a amazing business background which helps in saving money to invest than spending it all!
Very inspiring.
Oh come on u guys were just born in the good era and invested at the right time that’s all. It ain’t that easy to become rich now a days
8:24 - FAIL FASTER because You can't know what works specially from any book, but you can only know what doesn't work and that is by trying.
Sadly Plug and Play doesn't lead funding. It only participates if there are other investors. Many of its accelerator programs (at least the ones I know in Asia) are simply partnerships with Governments or corporates. They are simply managers. Gone are the days when they took big bets.
My startup definitly needs Saeed funding

Talking air
Why did you show the Lebanese flag when he said “I came originally from Iran”?
@01:21 he says he's from Iran. Why are you showing a lebanese flag?
he came from money and made some more money....next
11:50 It's dazzling to watch someone so accomplished be so oblivious to selection bias. His own story is replete with familial cultural capital (scion of an industrial conglomerate!) And then pointing out how great immigrants are because they have to learn the language? I'll set up a tent on the summit of K2 and then be amazed at how fit my visitors are 😂 #reversecausation
Seems like his family was close to the Shah and then got kicked out of Iran by the Khomeinis after the revolution !
The Lord is returning soon. If you have any level of discernment, you must see in yourself that the enemy is trying desperately to steal the innocence from our children. This is an act of true desperation from the enemy, because he knows that his end is near and he doesn’t want to be alone when he suffers for all time. Find God today because tomorrow maybe to late. No one knows the minute or hour that Jesus will return, but He will come like a thief in the night, while your sleep. “Yet I am God”. The Lord will meet you where you are in your life, Please find Him today.
