I love the pleasant sound of flute. I am 13years old and I want to learn to play flute. Namaste sir you are a very good teacher. Please keep teaching - support from INDIA.

Oh my gosh this is a beautiful series of lessons. My instructor passed recently - I was learning sitar with her - but she said I should learn flute because I was originally a western flute player. I purchased my bansuri, and then she passed due to COVID. I am lost without my instructor now - my music was not only my life but my connection with divine and spirituality - however, your videos have gotten me out of my depression and to pick up my flute once again. My sitar sits lonely still, but perhaps one day I will have the heart to pick it up again...but there are too many memories of sitting across from guruji as she taught me and it sort of breaks my heart. Starting fresh with the flute feels like a breath of fresh air. Thank you for these videos. I sincerely look forward to watching through all of them, and perhaps one day if you accept new students I could study with you :)

I'm grateful that I found this video. It takes the steps slowly and easily. I think it won't be too hard to learn how to play the flute with online youtube lessons. I've already started learning how to play the Veena and can play some vamshi as well. Now my mom bought me a flute from India as well. Thank you! Over the past couple of days, I've been trying to make my bamboo flute sound and just couldn't. That rolling from the lip thing was super helpful. Nearly deafened myself at first. Now I just need to learn everything else!

Sir luckily I do not have very small fingers so I can play base flutes and I like their sound very much but I request you to please tell me a flute scale which is very sweet sounding, warm but not too shrill. I hope you will reply soon.

Actually it depends on many factors such as the player himself, the type of composition, individual taste etc. So it is tough to recommend a single flute in general. For classical music, we prefer E Bass. a G Bass is also nice, for starting we suggest a G# Bass. you can pick any of them and try yourself. Thanks.

small flute have sound with higher pitch, big flute have sound of lower pitch. this applies to all instruments (eg, piccolo=high pitch, contrabass=low pitch)

I always wanted to play the flute ever since I saw the images of Lord Krishna playing it. My friends at school also used to bring their own one from home for music lessons in class. I even asked my parents to buy me one but they always made excuses. But now, after earning some money, I was able to finally buy a flute for myself. প্রিয় স্যার, আমার প্রচণ্ড আনন্দ হচ্ছে আপনাকে সচক্ষে দেখতে পেয়ে। আমি সম্ভবত ২০০৬ সালের দিকে আপনার "সহজ বাঁশি শিক্ষা বইটি" দিয়ে শুরু করি আমার বাঁশি বাজানোর যাত্রা। ১৬ বছর পর আপনাকে হৃদয়ের গভির থেকে ভালোবাসা এবং কৃতজ্ঞতা জানাই। আপনার বইয়ের প্রতিটি লেখা আমি এত যত্ন করে পড়েছিলাম যে তা এখনও মনে করতে পারি। স্কুলে অল্প অল্প বাঁশি বাজানো শেখার পর আমি কলেজে এবং বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আবৃত্তি ও গানে বাঁশি বাজাই। তারপর দেশ ছাড়ার পর আর সুযোগ হয়ে উঠে নি প্র্যাকটিসের। বর্তমানে আমার গিটার এবং কিছু ওয়েস্টার্ন বাদ্যযন্ত্রের সাথে বাঁশির স্কেল মেলানো এবং বাজানোর খুব ইচ্ছা। নতুন করে আবারো শেখা শুরু করতে চাই। কিন্তু আমার কিছু ভালো টিউনের বাঁশি দরকার যেগুলো গিটারের স্কেলের সাথে খুব ভালো ভাবে মিলে যেমন, G বা E স্কেল। আমি কি আপনার কাছ থেকে বাঁশি সংগ্রহ করতে পারি? শুধু প্রয়োজনের জন্যই নয়, আমি আপনার সিগনেচার বাঁশিকে আমার অনুপ্রেরনা হিসেবেও সংগ্রহে রাখতে চাই। আমার বাংলাদেশে খুব শিঘ্রই আসার ইচ্ছা আছে। আপনার সাথে যোগাযোগের কোন উপায় যদি বলতেন তো খুব উপকৃত হতাম। কোন হোয়াটসএপ নাম্বার কি পাওয়া সম্ভব? অনেক ধন্যবাদ আপনাকে, স্যার।
