I finally got it! I was always thinking why from 'Ma' to 'Pa' sounds so different, cccuuzzzz! I was playing on the same fck octave. This high 'Pa' makes so much sense. Perfect transition. Thank You! Guru Ji

Hi Sir... Myself Chinmoyee from Assam and I'm 15 year old. In my area we don't have any teacher who teaches flute. So, I see your videos it helps me a lot ☺😊. I am a flute lover since childhood and I used to make my own flute at home without knowing the scales 😅😅 but now I have my professional flute. I know how to hold, how to blow air and how to play sa re ga ma pa... but i have the problem in finger speed means how to increase the finger speed ? I hope you will reply my question. Thank you 😊

It is normal at beginning, all face the same problem. keep practicing and watch lesson 4 for playing Pa.

Sometimes it can be also played by lifting up the first finger (that one on ghandhar / GA hole) to get the Pa sound easier.

greetings Guruji. I am learning flute from your videos. My name is Krishna Komarpant. I am from Goa. I always had craze to learn flute from the very fact being my name is Krishna. However I didnot get guidance and I tried and found difficult. And also I did not get any teacher nearby to join and due to family responsibilities I dont get to go for classes at all. I thought I will never be able to learn. I saw many videos, Your videos are making it easy and nicely explained. I have been practicing two days now. My left thumb pains as I think I am holding it tight. Not sure if the hold should be tight. I am new to Sargam also, as I dont know to read music however I think with time I will learn. What to do about the finger hold? Also what is the scale of big flute I want to buy that and from where can I buy now? Any reference? Thank u very much. I hope I can learn it from your videos. Will practice for sure.

So is it like this Sa Re Ga Ma - these notes will be on lower octave and Pa Dha Ni Sa - these notes will be on higher octave ?????????????????????

The seventh degree of the solmisation scale is actually si, not ti. I have heard Americans say ti but I don't know where they got that from and it is also irrelevant. Traditional solfège is ut re mi fa sol la (hexachord), then si was added as the seventh degree of a heptatonic scale. Still later (in the 17th century) ut was replaced by do, apparently out of a whim. Just in case you are interested. Thank you for the videos you post!
