LESHY ANCESTRY GUIDE - PATHFINDER 2E

Ойындар

Plant People. Fungus, Leaves, and Vines abound. Leshies are adorable, unique, and even a bit creepy at time. In this video, I cover every Heritage and Ancestry feat available to the ancestry.

    That's really cool, thanks for making them a thing. I like the idea of a Leaf Druid who dies in a campaign, and then the next character is their leshy familiar who gains independence/sentience from the shock. Gourd Leshy is probably my favorite, because I love pumpkin headed familiars.

    There is acutally a lot implicit things that are.. strange.. When a Leshy dies, they explode and their Spirit returns to nature force. That is where it gets really messy, rulewise. There is nothing that says "Leshies cannot be revived." but the wording of the reviving spells kind of prohibit Leshies form being revived. The reason behind it ist that Leshies don't have souls in the common sense. They are spirits of life force itself and don't go to the river of souls. So they can't be pulled out ot there again. Thre is a lot more that is poorly worded or not explained enough. But all in all they are interesting to play.

  • @TacticusPrime

    @TacticusPrime

    3 жыл бұрын

    Wouldn't that apply to Gnomes as well? If they are Fey, then their souls should go back into circulation in the First World rather than joining the River of Souls.

  • @herebejamz

    @herebejamz

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@TacticusPrime Gnomes are naturalized natives. That is to say that while they where of the first world--I believe this is also the case with Elves, sorta, but I could be wrong--they are now a part of this world, and is why they aren't fey typed. Id argue certain Leshies, player Leshies, have an extra oomph that keeps them semi tethered to their bodies. As in they will find their way back to them if revived. But that's reaching.

    HP might be due to cell walls. Cell walls and cellulose can be very durable. Intelligence flaw might be rooted in the fact that while plants are good at producing energy, they don't produce enough to maintain a brain, while being efficient enough to function without a dedicated nervous system, let alone a brain.

    I laughed at the bad flower puns and have Cute mute leshy named flower! She's the leader (mascot) of my "test" party of small ancestries to pre-run a test session (flower is the leader but my gnome fidgit is her translator) the small squad is a group that puts into different sessions here and there. Smallsquad includes -Flower, the Leshy Druid, w/ a three tailed fox familiar, flower was brought to life and trained by a Kitsune Druid named hanako (花子) (kanji for flower child) they got lost one day while training and the forest caught fire. Fidgit, Fei sorcerer. She almost lost control of her powers once and caused a certain forest to catch fire. She used her sorcerer gifts to stop the same fire. Fibbles, Goblin Ranger who was out hunting when the forest caught fire. After being saved he decided to just go with. During the fire he lost sight of his sister Fragna. Freiya, halfling investigator who is currently under development for her backstory Flask, Kobold tiefling (haven't settled on a class yet usually alchemist though it doesn't fit the uncaring personality of the sad depressed kobold that upon obtaining the tiefling wings he thinks they're dragon wings (maybe a dragon sorcerer? Or a cleric with reverence for dragons?) Fear, the champion redeemer who walked the path of evil by calling someone a doodoo head. (It was the reason his closest friend lost his way and Fear was forced to stop him. After this backstory fear swore to never again upset another with a bout of unrighteous anger. To never call another a doodoo head again. And to help the world remember their own inner goodness to prevent them from doing the same. Friktr. The shoony the squad met in a shoony farm ravaged by monsters, Friktr was the only survivor Plans for Grippli witch named Fropp (froppy is his nickname as a MHA reference)

    This comment is just thought I had while watching the video and just commenting as I laughed at the puns, also I love leshies. if you want to play a leshy of a plant that the heritages don't cover, slap a versatile heritage on that leshy and now you are a flower or tree leshy. low int because plants don't think, but seriously they are spirits that druids made a form for, but they are extremely young and are formed as adults, if your leshy is old, they probably shouldn't be a leshy anymore. dhampir leshy for having plant nourishment call for the blood of humanoids instead of the sun. harmlessly cute is an absolutely great feat and strong feat, shameless request is a 7th level skill feat, getting it at level 1 woah, but I am using it on a callow may changeling leshy who looks like a cute flower but will stab you in the back so fast. also I have contemplated whether you could combine leshy glide with stuff like Cloud step and some mad hops to effectively fly. Solar Rejuvenation is the same as the gnome's vivacious conduit but with a condition of a suitable environment. just finished the video and wanted to share Groot, the giant instinct barbarian aasimar leshy(Veranallia is your aasimar ancestor) because just having a tree leshy just grow and shrink and get mad is very, 'young Groot'.

As a GM, I rule that the rooster is mostly safe in there, except if Spring House (the Leshy, apparently named for a kind of storage house in certain US states (I'm Australian, so I took the players word for it) takes a critical hit or crit fails a save, in which case Destiny takes normal damage.

    Legally obligated to say I laughed at the bad flower puns. Leshies are great, I played a giant instinct (leaf leshy wanting to become taller to reach the sun, because photosynthesis... and pruning trees if staying in the same spot in a forest since they're blocking 'her' sunlight) barbarian Leshy. Being a small race without a strength detriment makes it viable and completely ludicrous flavorwise. A normal scythe has a blade up to 90cm. A leshy is about 90cm. A large scythe meant I was lugging around a scythe of which the blade part alone was twice my size. I flavored as simply needing grasping reach to get a decent-ish grip on the weapon. It was by far and large the must hilariously stupid character I've ever played, I loved her. She also got harmlessly cute at level 3 through ancestral paragon, the complete mismatch between an all cutesie-played friendly child-sized plant girl with helicopter seeds (yes they drooped when sad or when denied) for her hair/ears lugging a massive scythe behind her led to some amazing role-playing moments.

    With the vine leshy heritage I have a few questions. Can the leshy fight while climbing? Can he shoot an arrow, cast a spell? And, if in addition with Grasping Reach, could he swing an axe downwards while out of reach of the enemy?

    currently playing a vine leshy druid that focuses on transformations for combat. I have made myself an eco-terrorist and seek to destroy civilization to preserve nature and have dived into being heavily invested in medicine and nature. I have and will torture again in the name of preserving nature.

    I definitely want to make a fungus leshi as my first pathfinder character. What classes do you think synergize well with this ancestry?

    Just to mention for food because I know a little bit about plants not a tree-hugger but I do like the outdoors a lot and learn a lot of things about animals and plants I have a simple solution for the need of nutrients for your leschi as long as you have humanoids in your party have them poop in the bottom of a bucket and make sure you have bags of soil along with you put the bags of soil on top the poop it is nutrients for plants problem solved I guess provided what you're eating before hand
