The way aaron just always seamlessly snaps into character amazes me everytime

My favorite part is how Samantha finishes her part with such confidence and Aaron walks out like he could run me over he’s like “it’s broadway bitches”

Well, he plays the role of Enjolras and he's obviously trying to stay in character. Enjolras is a very determined person and one of the leaders of the revolution. It's how Enjolras would take the stage.

I find it incredibly brave of all of them. They are first and foremost actors, not singers. What a great job they do of it.

My favorite musical number in the history of the Academy Awards, they really nailed it, three (past or future) Oscar winners are singing there, 1-derful !!! Hope they post the original video instead of this bad quality version.

I think he's an awesome Javert. Is he the best? No. But he brought great Justice to the role. He'll never be the best Philip Quast, but still very good in the role and in voice

Best Fantine ever. Been than stage ones

I went to see Les Misérables in London at the Sondheim Theatre with my 3 children. It was amazing. I also love this clip and the movie. We met the cast after the Musical behind the Theatre and they were so graceful and took time to talk and take pictures. Absolutely amazing talent and I really appreciate and love the performances of all of the actors in the Musical and in the Movie.

I've never seen the musical, but I've read the book and seen this amazing movie. I hope to see the live musical some day. In the meantime, this performance was incredibly phenomenal; why hasn't the Oscars released this after all this time? I love all the actors singing their parts, but you can't deny that Samantha and Aaron owned this.

Now they need to do this with the mammma mia 2 cast😂

I'm sure she would have been cool with it - she realises that he's an actor and he's only acting - in fact she was probably proud of him, because he is doing such a good job of acting 'Marius' madly in love with 'Cosette'

Does not sound right cutting the song down and leaving out lyrics in the song.

I never saw this movie. I understand it's moving, but it just seems too gritty and depressing! I am thrilled to see these characters dressed in gowns and tuxes. (which isn't my usual style)

honestly the most depressing part is watching the tragically miscast russell crowe attempt to sing..... i adore him as an actor but this is one of the worst casting decisions ever made. it’s painful to watch. truly.

Russell Crowe did Just fine. He's perfectly in key, tune and all. And FYI, he played Eddie on stage in Rocky Horror. Proof he was Just fine for Les Mis. Leave him alone. This is fact, not opinion.

A poorly cast movie musical. Samantha Barks was the only truly great singer in the bunch. Jackman has done a lot of good musical theater, but is wrong for Jean Valjean.

Excuse me but this movie was a hit and a wonderful masterpiece. It definitely has flaws but what movie musical doesn't. The casting was fine. The singing was great. You're Just Jealous because you can't do better. My word is fact, not opinion

@@blairbart2794 No. it’s definitely opinion. They cast people based on name recognition and box office draw, not musical ability, that’s why you consider it a “hit”. Russell Crowe can barely sing yet they cast him as Javert, one of the leads. As for your jealousy comment don’t be a child.

The performance is so over the top and it looks like a cheap soap opera from the 80s. From Mexico.
