Just installed mine. I have to say every video i have watched on this exhaust does not give it credit for how it sounds in person. I have the z400, not the ninja, it is my first bike and this exhaust slip on sounds amazing. The difference from the stock exhaust to the leo is indescribable. This video of the install is a perfect representation on how easy it really is to install. For the price, you can't beat this. I'll never change my exhaust tip while i own this bike. All thanks to this video. I also have the slight leak around the clamp but has zero negative affect that i've noticed. I loved going for a daily ride with the stock exhaust but now.... I don't want to get off the bike. Just know that if you're a first time rider like me, any mistake you make (shifting, down shifting) everyone will hear you now :) have fun and be safe riders!

It arrived today so about 10 days shipping. Just picked it up at the local post office. Thanks to this video it took less than 30 minutes to remove the stock can and install this one. Sounds way better than stock and so much lighter. Price in pesos is just under 14700 delivered.

I really appreciate your videos! I just purchased a ninja 400 2019 and I’m thrilled to start putting some mods on it. I think I might go with this exhaust because it’s the cheapest one I could find that’s still QUALITY. It sounds pretty decent too (from what I see on others reviews).

I love Leo Vince exhaust. I have the full Leo Vince Factory S carbon on my yamaha R6. Pulled the db killer, sounds awesome.

Liar a zx10r tops out at around 180 so you never did 190 and i highly doubt you even hit 160

Thank you for your informative videos-I'm new to riding and I've become a fan. What's the difference between this, the GP CORSA and the GP CORSA EVO? I like this one but the canister is so short I'm not sure if the exhaust is going to blare at my passenger haha. The others look a bit larger, which is nice.

No this does not work with a full system. If you want a full system that is light take a look at the Hindle system. When I wanted to buy it this product was sold out, that's why I entered the website and I subscribed to be notified when a new game arrives .... I tell you that I could finally buy, the service is really excellent, the product came in two boxes and came very well maintained protected by foam and bags of air so it won't be ruined. Yesterday I installed it on my kawasaki ninja 400 and I must say that I am very pleased, the sound is excellent my motorcyclist changed a lot, not only in sound, but also in aggressiveness and aesthetics. I am very happy with my purchase, I am watching more videos, as I plan to continue shopping. No the exhaust will not fill with water. If there is in any in the system it will blow out as soon as you start it. Water is a by product of combustion so a little will not have any affect on the exhaust. - Van

Looking on their site it shows a Carb approved icon. It also says not approved under LV-10. I am not going to guarantee one way or the other. That said there are a ton of riders replacing the slip ons and riding on the street. The cat is in the head pipe on this bike so in theory you should be good to go on the street with this slip on. - Van

Has anyone who bought this exhaust for the ninja 400 noticed a noticeable loss of power and torque? The dyno for this slip on shows a loss of power and torque after 6k rpm from the stock exhaust which was holding me back from making this purchase. Also I see it doesn't come with a db killer so is it too loud or something my neighbors could live with? Thanks if anyone could help out, I really like the price and simple sleek design especially the blacked out version.

I’ve seen online two black ones that are identical, but they have different model numbers. What’s up with that? Looking to get one, but confused about model numbers.

I'm confused. Many comments are asking about where to buy the midpipe. My interpretattion of the video is that the whole kit comes with the midpipe attachment. Am I wrong here? Is the mid pipe he's holding in the video part of the OEM structure, is it a piece that come with the LeoVince kit, or does it need to be purchased separately?

@@sportbiketrackgear Attached it myself following your video. Had put a Two Brothers Black Series on only two weeks earlier without any of the following drama. Seeing some nasty carbon leak both from around the circumference of where the can attaches to the mid pipe and around where the midpipe attaches to the header. I clean it of with WD-40 and a clean microfibre rag daily, and I torqued the band clamp to all hell right against the lip ring of the header, yet still the carbon leakage... Heard people in the Ninja 400 forums recommend permaflex or basically anything that is a polyureathane or a silicone-based sealent to add around those points of weakness. I just don't know how thermal-resistance those compounds are... I don't want to rub some of that black putty around the header, slide on the midpipe and ride only to have the thing ignite on me 10 minutes into a ride. It's not just a wonky band clamp fitment, despite how tight it is, it's also at the point where the can has slid over the midpipe attachment. It kinda seems poorly made in terms of fitment, just sayin'.

How long does bike need to be off after riding in order to do this install

A little popping on decel is nothing to really worry about. I would just ride it as is. - Van

I have a tiny bit of air coming from the barrel clamp area. I've tried different ways to minimize it, and in some cases it was made worse and water (condensation) started to leak out a bit. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this, or is this normal? Right now I have the clamp facing out, because hidden towards the inside would cause a much larger leak.

I have used rubbing alcohol and brake cleaner at times. Be careful on the stickers and make sure to test on a small non visible area to be safe. If you have the black version make sure to test it in a non visible spot. - Van

I typically use WD40 on all stainless steel and titanium systems. If you have a black coated system test first on a small area first. - Van

While we did not dyno the bike with this slip on installed I did not notice any drop in power while street riding with it on the bike. Installing a slip on will improve the sound and the looks of the bike. That said it typically will not improve the power. To do that you will need a full system and a tune or fuel controller. - Van

Does anyone know what the decibel reading is after installing the leovince pipe? I know it's not CA legal but if it's not crazy loud, no reason for cops to ever pull me over right (as long as I'm being responsible rider)!

Sorry we do not measure the DB during the install. Having ridden the bike with this slip on installed I can tell you that it is not obnoxious and you can really control how loud it gets with your right hand. Hope this helps and wish I had more. The manufacturer needs to be the one to measure the sound level so they are responsible for it. - Brian Van

The exhaust is part of the OEM emissions system. Depending on where you live and if you are riding on the street or the track it is possible removing the OEM muffler would violate some emissions law. - Van

To be fair I did not dyno the bike to verify but I did not feel any loss of power when riding this on the street. With any slip on exhaust you should think of it as more of a cosmetic mod than a performance mod. If you want more performance you will need a full system with a fuel controller or flashed ECU. - Van

Well that really depends on what you do to it to be honest. Mid 40's is reasonable. With some motor work you can get into the upper 40's. - Van

How’s it going brother? I’ve been hearing people talking about how this slip on causes a loss of power in the mid range and up. Is there any truth in that? Have you heard anything about that? Thanks!

While I did not put the bike on the real dyno my butt dyno says you are good to go. Replacing the OEM can with a slip does not really have much affect on power in most cases. If someone has dyno numbers to prove this creates a drop in power I would like to see it. If this one causes a loss in power then this would be the case for many of the slip on's offered for this bike. - Van

It's alright. It has a higher, tenor pitch. Not as aggressive/mean/raspy as others (notably Hindle). Not bad for the price though.

Does this leo vince exhaust come with a db killer as an option?

Is it street legal??

It is not technically certified street legal. That said it does retain the OEM catalytic converter so the emissions are still functional. Emissions enforcement seems to vary from place to place and we find many riders using systems like these on the street. They are also assuming any responsibility that comes with that choice. - Van

No this will not fit the Ninja 300, only the 18-19 400. Leo does offer this for the 2013-2017 Ninja 300, we are adding it to our site now.

Hey guys, any chance this would fit on the 2020 Z250? Cause it basically has the same body frame as the Z400/Ninja 400.
