How is the Lenovo E14

does the i lightup on the thinkpad branding on the back???????????????????/

I have some questions. The e490s has 256 gb SSD, so which type of it, M2 PCIE or M2 SATA? Does it have any slot for upgrade SSD? Thank you so much!

I have had an E490s for over a year and it's still an impressive laptop for its price. I wouldn't say that it is an ultrabook as the battery isn't that good as it only has about 89% of its original capacity after 66 charge cycles and it lasts about 7 hours max on a full charge. I got mine for about $780 USD and the upgrades I got for it were the i7 8565U processor, Windows 10 Pro and a 3 year warranty. I got this mainly for university and for long study sessions in the library, this laptop holds up well as the keyboard makes it so much easier to stay productive whilst working to meet deadlines. If this is what their entry level laptops feel like, I really wonder how much better Lenovo's T and X series ThinkPads are.

Quick note: Lenovo has stopped selling this laptop so if you want a similar laptop, the E14 is the closest as it looks like it was built on the same chassis and has slightly better specs everywhere for roughly the same price.

but the E14 have room for only 1 RAM, no dual. btw did this is cover by metal or plastic?

Nice video man. I’m also using the e490s a month now and mine has 1 problem: whenever i turn my laptop to sleep and then turn back, the laptop cannot recognize the fingerprint anymore. Does yours have that problem too? Thank you in advance

Never noticed that issue. To offer some generic advice, if you haven't downloaded the Lenovo Vantage app from the Microsoft Store and checked for updates under the device menu, I'd recommend doing so. If updates don't do it, then reinstalling the driver for the fingerprint sensor would be the next step, but that's too many pieces for me to describe. If you aren't familiar with that, there should be a good guide on google for "reinstalling a driver on Windows 10". If there's not I might have to cash in and make a video. :)

Andrew Thrasher thank you for a very specific advice :) unfortunately i have Vantage installed on my laptop but it doesn’t notice driver issues. I guess i will do a factory reset and reinstall all the drivers. Will tell you as soon as it is finished
