One of the best Leningrad Cowboys song. Finland Forever. Hyvä Suomi!

This is not satire, this is not just nostalgia, this is not some praise of the USSR: This is simply remembrance of a foregone past for which some people had high hopes but that suddenly just disappeared. A good song like this but in a more modern, pop like fashion is "building blocks" (The Tetris song)...same thing there.

Jore Marjaranta was the greatest singer of the Leningrad Cowboys. He would never get so far in his own career if he would'nt be a singer of LC.

A stunningly beautiful and heartfelt song! It tears the soul! The best Rock song is about what the loyal Leningraders felt in the early 90s. And it's just amazing that the Finns wrote this song, so subtly and accurately conveying that anguish. I, as a Leningrader and an old metalhead, thank the Leningrad Cowboys band for this song, for the album Go Space, and for their creativity in general! Bravo and thank you! 👏🏻✊🏻🤝🏻😊🤘🏻

Thank you fore telling. Me as swede born -72 I to feel a change in society to something with losses in value and camerade.

Nostalgic for a time that was not as it was supposed to be. Hopes of the masses. I can relate but from a different time here.

The song is excellent. The video gives the meaning, opposite to the words. Where are all my friends (hanging from rafters and windmills). Dark and a good piece of music and poetry.

Growing up in the "Cold War" in the USA I have been delighted by every song I'ved viewed by this group. However, this song made me weep. Satire? I have never found mass extermination much of a satirical topic. The Lenigrad Cowboys are the best at what they do. Thank you guys!!! And much thanks to commentor who wrote "even Stalin died under Stalin."

If you don't know history, you can't understand the present and future. So if this music gets someone to learn something, it has more than fulfilled its aim, not just entertainment. Besides, this is a beautiful song! Hello to Piter from your friendly neighbours!

The people in Russia have suffered a lot under its emperors, communism and many will definitely suffer under Mr. Putin, too. Leningrad Cowboys is a satire comedy rock band from Finland founded in 1986 when the again and again very unpleasantly acting neighbor was called the Soviet Union.

The pictures are from during WW2. When Leningrad was cut off from the rest of Russia by German troops. They resorted to cannibalism due to not being able to find any food. This song always makes me tear eyed.
