Lemon Posset 16oz Heavy Cream 3/4 Sugar 5 Tbsp Lemon Juice Zest of Whole Lemon Bring to Boil for 3 min, let cool, pour in lemon molds and refrigerate for 2 hours. Serve with strawberries for color! 🍋🍓🍋

Posset is also great as a layer in a trifle instead of custard. My sister hates custard so whenever I do a trifle I do, sponge cake sandwiches with lemon curd, posset on top let it cool then top with whipped cream

I’ve made these and can add one thing: if you don’t mean to eat all of these right away, only serve the ones for right away in the peels. Use ramekins if they’re going to sit overnight or the bitterness of the rind will seep into the posset.

I've made these before, but I serve mine in dessert cups. The last time I made them, I made a pecan shortbread crust as a bottom layer & put raspberries & whipped cream on top. It's an easy recipe to experiment with & really yummy!

Are you saying it's pronounced "Po" as in Poe? That's what it looks like you're saying. Spelling in phonics needs to be specific. If it's "Poe-sit" that's different than the short 'o' sound like paw or pottery. So, is it "Poe-sit" or "paw-sit"? Online it says the British and American pronunciation are the same but with inflection on different parts of the word. It also says the last syllable sounds like "suht." So it's saying there's not a hard sounding "it" at the end, it's more casual and less hard sounding. Either way, I think Abby used a bit of a French inflection.

Needs a small variation of texture to accompany it. Tuile cookie, or candied lemon peel on top, or any kind of crunch would break up the monotony of mushy mouthfeel. It would step up the presentation as well and make it look/feel less like baby food. Just a thought.

I make a similar lemon "custard". If you combine a can of full fat condensed milk and about 1/4 c lemon juice, it will thicken before your eyes!
