I bought an M8 two years ago and never looked back. The images from that and a Leica lens were superior to any Sony I used. Very tempted for the versatility of the Q also

Well I don’t regret it either and in fact I keep being reminded that because a new camera comes out and marketing that tries to tell us we absolutely need an iso that goes up to 256000, well it doesn’t make the camera we have out of date at all. I love my Q

Images from the M8 with CCD sensor is still better than most newer M series with CMOS sensor. Its rendering is quite different. It’s beautiful and more film like than the most digital M series cameras with CMOS sensor. I sold all of my M digital bodies including M10-P and M10-R except M9-P and M8. However, I’m planning on experiencing SL bodies as SL lenses are awesome. That’s why the lenses are way bigger and heavier than M lenses. Oh, B&W images between M8 and M9 are different as well although they both have CCD sensors. M8’s B&W images are exceptional. M8 is a kind of unsung camera among the Leica M digital bodies.

Other than the battery life and potential dust in sensor issue, the Q rendering is like the SL 601. Just beautiful and gorgeous!

Qp is really nice too « the looks » of course my nikon Z6ii has more features but I never used them anyways so I love my Q

I’m interested to buy the used one as well. The price is varied depending on the cosmetic.

@@stevencottam7570 thank you ! I realize some people need to be right. Whatever the truth may be. I have come to no longer putting my grain to other’s way. They’re like a breeze of cold air you open the window and let it through.

I bought a used Leica Q silver last July. In excellent condition and takes great pictures, an amazing lens. However, I wonder if yours also makes a noise when you move it, rotating it or tipping it a bit abruptly. The seller assured me that this is a normal feature for Leica Qs.

Yes be assured I had the same question and yes it’s normal, there’s the vibration control in the lens and it shuts of when we turn the camera off, you have noticed it doesn’t do it when turned on. Great choice I still can’t put it down.

Silver Q is rarer. It’s beautiful and versatile camera even with video function. 1080p is pretty enough. I love my Q too!

Yep the Q and Delux 7... now M10 and SL2... as they say the Q is the gateway drug... they were right...lol..leica love.

Probably but here in Canada that was all I could find, the cheapest one I saw was 3600CAD but it was too far, in the states they’re about 2500 -2800 which is roughly what I paid in CAD

Lovely camera. My only concern would be if they stopped making the batteries. Then it will be redundant.

You seem like a nice guy but..... Your Leica is a beautiful example but your pictures are really really bad in ever way possible. Also, your video is terrible. Please look at the work of the great photographers starting with Vivian Maier (forget Bresson... he's over rated) And please... instead of buying the D-Lux 7 (it's not a real Leica) just look on ebay for a Leica X1. The X1 is a bit second slow to focus but it will help you to improve your photography.

I'm glad my video was worth your commenting, a terrible video that I make or crappy photos that I take is what I do, the D-lux, although a panasonic is a great camera M4:3 is very nice, sure their's better, but their's also better than what's better so in the end nothing really matters. Texas is a difficult place to photograph, especially the towns, their's never a soul around everything seems deserted, and I feel alianated walking, nobody walks in Texas

What an extremely unpleasant post this was to read. Totally unnecessary. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." The good thing is you have inadvertently put Jean-Francois in the same category as Bresson. Quite an honour I'd say. 😉
