Cross lines are not supported to adjust the floorplan shape. But you can draw cross lines and measure them to be used later in a CAD system to adjust the room angles.

mind to know, is this plan app can sketch arc shape or circle?

If i would like to make windows messurments mostly, do you recommend this app? It's great for the plans, but I need to measure windows mostly, I'd liketo have field and angles to.

You can use the function Measure Façade (P2P) to measure vertical surfaces, also irregular one. But keep in mind that you can not measure glass sufaces.

Now measure a fire breast wall without having to deduct or use a tape measure?

Woow i need this. Does any Leica with bluetooth support does the job?. The measure we take in the device automatically goes to the Sketch plan app once we click the line or we need to do some other step?

Any Leica DISTO™ with Bluetooth 4 will be supported by the app. To add a measurement to a line is possible as you described.

Is there any way to measure and draw curved walls? The plan app only appears to let me sketch straight lines.

Probably not, because laser are straight line of light. We use this device to design the sketch and them we transfer to a software where we can modify as needed.

it wil work with disto D1?

Is it possible to get a more indepth tutorial (video or written) to explain fully how to use the features in the Sketch Plan app. I see it could be very useful but I don't know how to use the features within the app.

Yes. D1 is compatible with DISTO Plan.

I made my sketch then tried to export to 3d DWG. I then tried to find the file in "files". The folder wasn't created. I switched the write drive to my one drive then my dropbox. Didn't work on either. version 2.2.1 iOS 14.0.1 thanks for your response.

All the walls in this video are 90 degrees, what happens if the wall is on an angle, can you draw then, will it still work?

Yes, it doesn't require all the walls to be 90 degrees. It can draw on an angle.

Leica Geosystems AG The problem is when the app decides that two corners must change to make the room work with the dimensions given it doesn’t always do it correctly. I just measured my first room which had 2 ~90 degree corners, but the app made it into a trapezium with the wrong two corners adjusted. All Leica needs to do is add the ability to measure corner to opposite corner to correctly triangulate the room. The problem with this solution is that it highlights the inability of the Disto to measure from inside the corner - the back of the disto doesn’t fit! I’m sure I had a disto once which would do this and it would read the measurement from the end of the fold out arm, but my current D2 doesn’t. This is a basic measuring technique, you should always measure diagonally to get the right room shape. Pen and paper it is still then for me.

it's possible if you buy bosh ;) You can't even have corners other then 90deg here ;)

If the D2 look like thislasers.leica-geosystems.com/disto/d2than he has Bluetooth and the app will work. If it looks different it is the older D2 model and has no Bluetooth and so does not work with the app.

in that plan can i sketch (additionally) any DIAGONAL line and measure the distance in the end? Because ,frankly speaking, no shape is orthogonal...

I just did, worked perfectly!

My app doesn't have the option to add openings. The two red squares on his app shows the top square is for defining openings. Mine says Line & Area. Please someone help me!!

Since five years we focus on the new Bluetooth standard 4.0. Unfortunately Leica DISTO™ Plan is not backward compatible to Bluetooth 2.1

The dxf and dwg format that is available from the app are both standard CAD formats. So Autocad is supporting those. In such case we would recommend to use the dwg format when exporting.

Question fir measure a house exterior. Do I have to draw out every wall in my house before I add measurements? I can't figure out how to add walls (or lines) after the sketch is drawn. Can this be done?

Dear George, multi-room sketch is currently not supported. So you can draw a shape of a room or of a building but it is lot possible to add and measure walls afterwards.

Yes, this work together.

Always used the Disto Sketch. tried this today (doing some laminate flooring) thought I'd try the 3D and it asked to enter the height so I stupidly manually entered in mm (2312mm) and had the tallest room sized skyscraper in existence 2312metres high. Now I can't see anywhere to edit the height I entered to switch it to metres 2.312m Surely I'm blind and there is a really simple way to alter the height?

You will need to go to the 2D view where you will see your layout from top. By selecting a line and then choose “Tools” on the top you will be able to edit the height. Hope this solves your problem.

No, this is not possible in the function Sketch Plan. To get the really correct angles of a room the P2P function Measure Plan is needed to be used with a dedicated P2P DISTO like the S910 or a X3 or X4 together with a DST 360 adapter.

Hello. All our current models have a Bluetooth connection. The DISTO D1 or D110 are the basic instruments.

The application is only available for iOS and Android devices.

The PDF export looks terrible, the measurements placed on the plan overlap each other and dont allow you to read them or move them around. The company logo also gets squashed and gives no indication of how big or small the logo needs to be.

Thank you for the feedback.We will improve the label placement on the PDF export with the next update. The PDF Pro export contains a list of all measurements which are always readable.The squeezed company logo happens only in the iOS version and will be fixed with the next update.

I think you need to fix many things in the software, i was bought a disto x4 because of this video, and it ain't cheap, i found many trouble like overlaping or distorted line when measuring (i use paid versions), and 20 measurements for the smart plan is just not enough,, if you make this close to the magic plan app that would be great

@@abimanyu9555 Smart Room and Sketch Plan are designed to create an outline of a room. If you would like to measure structures in the middle of the room like a column, we recommend to use the Measure Plan function. This function requires the DST 360 P2P adaptor for your DISTO X4 and allows to measure any point visible from one setup.

You can add single points like for sockets by use of the P2P features in the DISTO™ Plan App. For the Sketch Plan there you would need to add points on lines or work with additional lines.

You may have figured it out but for anyone else, click on the line(wall) in the 2d drawing where you wish to add the opening, and the 'opening' button will appear. Click it and it'll put a door in place, up at the top there will be a 'modify' button, and the rest should be self explanatory!

To measure and add diagonals to a drawing is not possible.

We need a tutorial with a full level, walls, etc. When I measure several rooms, it doesn't sum the walls and other little issues. If if you a more real tutorial, these questions would be automatically answered. 1-min videos are for marketing.

Hi, ihr solltet erstmal zeigen wie man den disto s910 verbindet. Über bt geht es schon mal nicht. Über WLAN funktioniert es, aber intuitiv geht anders. Ich würde gerne mal einen von euch mit zum Aufmaß nehmen. Die Krönung ist allerdings der in App Kauf. Ohne eine Demo gibt es sicher echt viel Frust.

You will have to export the file as a dxf or dwg file first and then it should be possible to import the data in that program.

It is a great disappointment that the Leica Disto D2 BT is not equipped with a tripod thread

Leica great products only app is rubbish that someone who made this application is a genius how much he had to work to make it so bad 👎 Bosh app 😀 back to the board
