LEGO Underground Train Station with a Starbucks!

Ойын-сауық

Today I built a train station into the platform coverings! This station services the ground line and is built right into the platform coverings. It has lots of unique details, included in that is a Starbucks Coffee shop!

I love the train station! It’s another hidden gem in your amazing Lego City, and I think it rocks. I really enjoy seeing your personal approach to logistical problems. Just like in a real city, not everything can be planned all at once, so creative solutions must be found to make everything work. It gives a little realism to your city, making it more unique and special. Great job!

Jordan. At 6:30, you are able to see the plane hanging on the ceiling. Is it supposed to have landing gear to land, or is it just flying? Because if it is just flying, you should take the landing gear off. I hope you get/got rid of your headache.

Have you considered changing up how the raised platform is..well…raised. Each time you build into the platform the legs become more of an issue. It might be worth it to build it up with Duplo before long. Can’t wait to see what you do with more of the space. Maybe a bear cave below the observatory? The train stations are adding so much depth and interest to the city and it’s been a great way to use that otherwise wasted space. The Starbucks really did it for me on this one. It made it feel more real.

I think some exterior signage at the street pointing to the subway entrance would be helpful. Maybe a bus stop outside to connect a bus and subway line? And then some mini fig commuters walking to & fro from the subway to draw attention to the Easter egg.

Love the Starbucks! Such a shame it's hidden so much. Maybe some time in the future you could put 1 baseplate of a recreational area there so it wouldn't be blocking the station as much? Stuff like a small park with a picnic table and such, or maybe a small fenced off kids playground? Or maybe even an extension of the station with a small building and some parking space for cars and bikes?

If you haven’t reused/ parted out the little newspaper stand that came with the Police Station Modular, I good spot for it might be just out side the entrance to the raised station, kind of just past the gazebo. That way people can grab a paper as they head to their train. If you have the newspaper boy from the recent cmf series he could be there too.

Love the addition of this train station. Might I suggest swapping the farm\farmers market/botanical garden area with the houses which may allow for more visibility into your new station and it would follow a story of taking the station stop to go to the farmers market. Just a thought. Keep up the good work.

This looks so good! I want to preface this by saying you have what i believe to be one of the largest and most impressive Lego cities! I also wanted to apologize if my comment on the police station/donuts shop came off as overly negative. The last thing I want is to bring down someone who is so passionate about what they do. I you do such a good job of keeping us invested and a part of what you do that it's hard not to want to add our two cents. But know that what you do is impressive and inspiring to any Lego builder.

You may be able to remove the residential house across from the Simpson house. You could replace it with a playground next to the walkway to the train station. It’s pretty common to have a playground in a neighborhood. You would be able to see more of the train station. Just an idea. Even with lights it may still be difficult to see the interior behind that house.

Oh and I’m glad you addressed the rude comments in your other video about your custom modular buildings. Right next to the column with all the bricks you have a straight track that could be a station and then the walkway you did on the street would pair up nicely. It also makes sense to have a "Town Hall Station". It would also look cool like the elevated one near the amusement park. 😁 I mainly say this because of that poor Starbucks store. It looks so so good, but so so hidden 😢 I feel like we'll never see it again (jk)
