Olive would have been the most screen-accurate, but would have required a fair number of recolors I think.

I agree with all of the above. The bright green looks bad but they could've done most of it with sand green except the fuel tanks I think.

its crazy that weve gotten a set of a what if scenario from the first avenger but never any sets from the first avenger lol

I do wish we had a little more variety in the What-If sets. They are very different, but to just get two mechs instead of any other scenes from the show seems a little off to me. Then again, they do sell well, and both of them do look very good.

Was wondering would a big fig size Hydra stomper body and then having brick build arms and legs be better for size. Of course the tradeoff is not being able to house a fig in it.

At least this is a situation where a mech makes sense. Unlike Mech Thor, Mech Captain America, Mech Spiderman, etc.

If it was the early 2000s, Lego would have included some German Army vehicle like with Indiana Jones 😏😎

After seeing the last what if episode, the captain carter figure makes so much more sense

Yeah I read that there was a mix up on design and the blind bag minis were supposed to be the one in the hydra stomper and vise versa

Steve Rogers should have definitely had mid legs.

I think the serum just made Peggy really tall. It would have been kinda weird if Steve had mid legs since those are usually reserved for early/mid-teen characters

@@henrikkongsligjerde2079 I really wish they would've kept the long arms and legs from Woody and Jessie from the original Toy Story line. Maybe it might not have been okay for Captain Carter but other characters could use them

Hydra Stomper is a bit of a confusing name… because it might sound like that it belongs to Hydra…

I think it looks great and I'm not a fan of all of Lego mechs, but some do catch my eye. The small Ninjago Kai's Fire Mech, for one.

I feel they went for a “stealth suit” look for this set, then released the actual captain Carter in the CMF series

6:26 I think that’s supposed to be the stealth version of her suit.

I only have interest in this because the stickers look like they'd be great for a car or train MOC.

I think the extra studs are on that plate because you're intended to place it into the empty space behind the figure. The 2019 War Machine set had a similar thing.

Fan of Agent/Captain Carter. It's worth it just for the minifigs.

The Captain Carter minifig is printed with silver because it’s meant to be the version from Captain America The Winter Soldier (the abdomen design is actually 100% identical!), beats me why they decided to go for this version on this set but I’ll guess for variety with the CMF series. Great review as always Jang! I definitely agree about the complexity of the set and the price behind it, as I built it I noticed how much more complex this was compared to my 2015 Hulkbuster, so indeed the price is okay on this one

I actually think the navy and gray captain carter suit will be later in the season during the whole team up cuz I thought I saw it for a second in one of the trailers

I’m pretty sure Captain Carter’s suit in this set is a Stealth Suit version that we haven’t seen yet, analogous to the one Steve wore at the beginning of The Winter Soldier.

I think you can put the tesseract in the back of the mech

The Captain Carter version of the upcoming Marvel collectible minifigs looks closer in color to the show's version. Maybe they did this on purpose for variety? Or they added her again to the collectible figs to correct the potentially forced mistake?

The figure looks like a variation of the stealth suit from the second Captain America movie. I presume this costume appeared in concept art, but didn't make it into the show (or it'll appear in a later episode).

Glad all the stickers are right side up 😂 First time seeing a review of something I witnessed being built on livestream! ❤️

I feel like the mech would have benefitted from using the pieces with the rubber inserts on top of the ankle sockets. That way the joint friction would be better (the mech wouldn't pitch forward so easily, that's for sure).

So apparently that captain carter is the finale carter.......

Disappointed it doesn't have the handle on the back, that was so cool in the show! If Captain Carter had the right colours I wouldn't really have any complaints though, it's really a shame they didn't get that right

I'm guessing we'll see that suit for Captain Carter later in the series as it resembles Steve's stealth suit from Winter Soldier.

I feel bad that the Igor suit was so hated on/lack luster, I think more mixel based "iron man" mechs would be better scale wise and help keep part count and price down. I understand that a lot of details are lost making them smaller but so much of the details on these come from the stickers anyway.

Yeah, they've made a ton of those Mech sets, but it's a good thing that they don't all look alike! Most are quite unique like this one, but I can't wait to see the Iron Monger from the Infinity Saga Lego set review, this "mech" looks huge! Thanks for the review, Jang!

I think once people get the CMF version of Captain Carter, they'll gladly stow away the one with the set, haha.

I got a misprint on the Hydra Stomper head piece on mine. The biggest issue with the Hydra Stomper figure is the lack of waist swivel that limits more dynamic posing, especially for swinging the arms in a punch. I still like the set overall.

I think you’re supposed to slide that ammo side build behind Steve Rogers like the war machine mech

The set should’ve been a darker color, but it’s still a neat build 🤟

I found a indented spot behind Steve’s head when he’s in the mech that can fit that extra stud ammo holder. Don’t know if it’s what was intended…but it works!

I appreciate the different costume for Captain Carter. That keeps the version in the CMF series unique.

I'll just wait and get the hulkbuster from the same line for £3-5 more that build looks better and the minifigures are better. She has a stealth outfit which is inaccurate and Steve should have had mid legs

I've started thinking about sets in a particular manner, in that it's value is based off of the number of minifigs times $5, and the rest is the builds that come with the figs. This is based on Lego selling all their minifigs blind for $5 each.

Im interested to see what you think about the iron monger (besides the size of course lol)

Wish they gave steve a Iron Man helmet (the one without flip visor) in gun metal or a shade of grey, to give the mech less of a gap in the head, they print a visor onto it and it can just be part of his interface. Red skulls blaster doenst bother me at all, hydra where known for plasma weapons at that porportion, maybe they could have given it a blue stud.

Saw it on discount but didn't buy, if i like what I see here I'm going back tomorrow hoping it is still there

I think it is the scale that turns me off to this set. Because I really like the characters and story of that episode. It just doesn’t look right.

They should have thrown in Tiger for it to be a VS set

Captain Carter’s torso isn’t just the wrong colours, the entire design is wrong. Doesn’t match what’s in the show at all.

Captain Carter has been shown to be in more episodes this season, it's possible the outfit will appear then. And for an extra 5 dollars you can get a super accurate and super detailed captain Carter fig

Lego could really make some incredible mechs/mecha, but instead we keep getting sets like this.

Lego is just super happy to be able to pump even more mechs into marvel lego. At least this makes sense tho

The older general channel is exactly where it's always been! This LEGO review-specific spinoff has been active and promoted since it was announced back in April. All of my main channels are linked from the channel list on each of them and in every video description.

It looks great but not mich effort put into it. They shouldve made the arms and legsinto 3 parts.

The captain carter is much worse than the one in the minifigure series

Tear me out: WHAT IF LEGO Stopped making Mechs

Too bulky particularly on the hips-legs area, color is a big no for me, Captain Carter without the red looks unfinished and the price is too high. They should have use the $10 mechs template, at least the set could have doubled as a new model in that line.

Whem making an oversized mech, I have to expect proper articulation... This has no kneejoints or moveable wrists. I don't get why Lego keeps doing sets this way....

Eh, ok set.

Not a fan of the recolor nor the shoulder armor piece as the head again. This has to be the worst Iron Man style mech so far. Steve also should’ve had midi-legs too.

I wish they made sets for the much better 2-3-4th episodes rather than this.

I liked ep1 much better than ep2 personally, even though ep2 had more humor & action. I liked Ep 3 as well, but felt 4 went a little too easy on itself from a story perspective.

@@JANGsLEGOreviews since the Guardians of the Galaxy is my favorite team of all time and Phase I my favorite phase of the MCU, I might not be so objective on 2-3. As for 4, Im a huge fan of superhero drama and tragic villain backstories, sooooo... yeah, thats how I get there

That Captain Carter figure honestly looks very bland and odd to me. Especially after seeing the CMF version, this looks like a china knockoff

Sounds overpriced to me. Lego tried to sneak in some overpriced sets these days. Yes, it’s probably due IP and yes, possibly due to uniqueness of mini figures. Either way, I speak with my money not to buy it.

These mecs ARE NOT supposed to be to scale with the minnie figures...I don't understand why everyone complains about this.

I do not expect or want this to be minifig-sized. I want it to be significantly closer to the on-screen scale shown in the show it's based on 😐
