Just proofs that dark flesh on dark hasn't been the biggest problem in the past

Ooh, the car transformation is a neat gimmick and I love that Valkyrie comes with a bottle. It's a shame that the episode didn't make it into season 1, I think they've said that they're just going to finish it up and put it in season 2.

@@harwickbranch The Gamora-Thanos episode is supposed to be the same unfinished episode.

I actually really like what they did for the Watcher's head. They have the neck/collar cape cut, but it's significantly smaller than typical collars for other characters, so it kinda makes an optical illusion that the head is bigger than normal. Especially when not directly beside other figures.

Today is the day the episode finally came out and it was awesome!

I like the colors especially, Sakaar is so vibrant. Kind of reminds me of Monkey Kid color scheme, it works well if you are not addicted to very very dark grey. I did not watch What If yet, not that huge of a MCU fan, but i was interested to see this mech in action. Well... ^^'

My god I wish they'd used the new Thanos head type for the Watcher 🤣 I hadn't thought of that, that would be perfect!

Honestly I’m getting a bit tired of the way Lego seems to be approaching their mechs. Like I get that their goal is to have a durable and unfrustrating toy but I don’t feel that they are accomplishing that. In this case the limbs sacrifice any kind of desirable articulation in exchange for being durable, but then they throw a bunch of haphazard technic mush on the back that loosely flops around during play. Not to mention the helmet/spoiler assembly is only attached by one clip (and not a particularly strong one). It feels like they are focusing on the wrong areas in terms of playability vs durability and I think it’s because they’ve fallen into this idea of “no knees = stable end of story”. I really think Lego should re-examine their approach to these kinds of designs. As someone who demands both durability and stability from their Mocs I know you can easily design stable and durable knees and elbows without sacrificing much in the way of parts used. Overall I would love for lego to re-examine how they are approaching these kinds of builds and maybe try to strike a better balance between durability and playability.

@@MJKToys oh don’t get me wrong I’m definitely not saying don’t do it, I’m just saying do it in a way that isn’t so loose and floppy. For example use ratchet joints instead of technic pins.

Yeah when they made the elbows and knees static a couple years ago everyone loved it and Thought it was a good compromise, but now I expect more.

I'm so glad we get a Watcher minifig

I'm honestly surprised that Lego included the reference to Valkyrie's slight drinking problem...

Do you mean it's supposed to refer to this album "Never Say Die"? I don't quite see the resemblance myself and there seems to be alternate covers for it, but the helmet is close I guess (it does have a Blacktron triangle!)

Really looking forward to this episode in season 2, the mech really piques my interest in what the plot will be. But as a Lego set... meh. Not that it isn't good, I think the set looks fantastic, but there have been SO many mechs recently! The Infinity War Hulkbuster, War Machine's version from the Endgame sets, a comic Hulkbuster, Iron Monger, the Hydra Stomper, and this Sakaarian Mech now. It's too many in for just 2018-2021. And the last three are all out at once! I love the design but come on I can only buy so many without a break. Even Ninjago spaces out how often they do similar builds

You know what, I might just pick this up. Getting a Watcher minifig is pretty neat.

I think that car mode really does add a lot of value. This set is design wise super similar to the war machine buster, but has a whole alternate vehicle that can be reached without total disassembly. Even costs the same, too.

The ankles could've been knees if they'd have passed on the "transformation feature" and added a bit of length to the legs, but that's just my opinion

this one was a tough one for the scaling. From the brief appearance in the show, it was definitely a much bulkier suit than the standard Iron Man armor, but it was also nowhere near Hulkbuster size. It is definitely too big, but it still looks good and the minifigs are solid

A Lego Iron Man set with some transforming armor? I love it! Sure, you'd have to remove and relocate some stuff, but it adds to the set's overall play-value features.

Great fun review, really hoping to see this Sakaarian Iron Man in season 2.

I imagine the extra $5 stems from his much design work was needed to do the conversion to the race car

When I first saw this set I didn't think much of it and was slightly frustrated that it was yet another Marvel mech. But now I'm seeing it in detail, I like it a lot. I think it looks great and I'm very happy about how well it closes up, hiding the operator, unlike the Hydra Stomper. I don't really care about the car and think the transformation has far too many steps but it's a nice inclusion for younger fans. Also all the figures are great especially the much more accurate Valkyrie.

I like this mech but I am going to figure out a way I can add better tires when I get it.

I love the color scheme. Even though it's not supposed to be a Hulkbuster it works well as one. The back wheel attachments can peace out tho.

I thought The Watcher should have had the Thanos bigfig head too! I saw an image from someone who swapped heads between the Thanos minifig and bigfig and it made perfect sense to do that on The Watcher. Though sense they didn't I wish they had used the new Cloak of Levitation mold in that light blue instead.

I really like this set. Suprisingly fun!

That fact that you can transform this mech into a car is a big plus! I'm not sure about the color scheme, very unusual!

The car reminds me a bit of The Monkie Kid Cloud Car. I was going to make a Monkie Kid Buster, but it looks like LEGO beat me to it!

Tony Stanks t-shirt is awesome

I just noticed that Tony doesn't have an arc reactor, although he should have one, because he left earth and went to Sakaar during the end battle from The Avengers. However, I don't mind that, because that means you can reuse his torso for regular minifigures. And it also doesn't have any printings of skin color, so you can even use for figures with different skin tones.

I was quite curious about that one, well I’m disappointed. I’m not a fan of their bulky mech to begin with but I had a good hope on the transformation feature but that look likes the weakest transformation you could have come up with.

With the unrelenting amount of mechs Lego makes nowadays, I think it's time they started designing new joints to address the almost arthritic articulation of these "toys" which seem more like statues in there execution. I mean which kid (big or small) doesn't want to be able to actually play with their toys in a more immersive way, and occasionally pose them, use them for stop motion, etc ? Without the need for post purchase modification

While it would be more difficult to play with for younger kids, I agree with you. And I mean just because its more difficult to play with for them doesn't mean they like unarticulated toys.

Yes, exactly! This is why I prefer real Mini-Figures to Mini-Dolls and those figs with stumpy non-moving "kid legs". Posability makes an action figure, a true toy! Without it, it's a stiff statue.

The set is a must buy for the figures, the build is a fun one but wouldn't buy it on its strength alone. My main issue is I don't have the display space for all these hulkbuster style variants.

Probably because they decided that the design team of the Collectible Minifigure Series gets to create that figure, it wouldn't be a collectible if you can get that figure in a set

It’s a parts-former. Hehe.

To me, this is a better Lego mech than many of their previous efforts. The head /cockpit has a better, more proper dome. Hey what's Valkyrie's name? It feels generic to call her "Valkyrie". Like calling a Mandalorian "Mandalorian". Wait.. 🤣

Such a dumb decision by Disney to not have this episode ready to go by the time for the season finale. What if... was already weak (and I am a HUGE MCU fan) but leaving out a main story in a season just sealed the deal.

It's not a main story though, just another standalone what if episode, taking it out only affected a tiny segment of the finale where Tony appears, and then he's ignored for the rest of the episode anyway. Not worth delaying the series over imo

@@JANGsLEGOreviews I would say just delay or get it right from the beginning. I know it's just one stand alone among the series but Gamora coming out of nowhere at the end just felt odd. Also, we love your videos Jang! How awesome would it be to get some Star Wars: Visions Lego sets !?!?
