I just didnt assemble the technic mechanism for the rotors, and by doing that i have space from the cockpit up until the end of the helicarrier and i can fit 18 minifigs inside 😉

The lack of interior space is the only thing I don’t like about this set, otherwise the other aspects of the set are great

50k subs with 1 video it’s a fine size and increasing the size could fix the interior problem but it would also increase the price making it less affordable. The way to fix this is just get a way to rip up the roof

This has honestly got to be one of the worst playsets I've seen. While the rotor feature is fun, I guarantee it'll overstay its welcome once its been used multiple times, the section at the back feels empty and the mechanism is showing too. I can imagine it was difficult to design something like this, especially at a smaller price-point, but this just feels like wasted potential here :(

I still prefer the “UCS” helicarrier because at least it was done right and looked good. I would’ve rather seen this set go for $180-$200 and look like an actual helicarrier than spend less and get this hunk of plastic

The entire back prison can fit a Battery Box, Motor and IR reciever and it really makes the set better. People think this is based on the carrier thats destroyed in the first game trailer when it isnt. Its a set piece later in the game where the avengers fight alongside the top against the large turrets and then MODOK

I think this set is poor in construction and price, here in Latvia it costs 140 euros, but minifigures are great, not counting Modok.

I must admit, this looks way too blocky for a ship that meant to be a flying carrier. Lego is naturally blocky of course, but the hard edges on the underside hull and the generally un-aerodynamic feel of the build structure just make it very hard to see this thing flying around in the air. It kind of looks more like a building than a flying carrier.

Kinda like the infinity war milano how you could slide the pilot seat out to fit a figure in there. I wish that they had space around the middle of the carrier to take the top off and put people inside(again, like the infinity war milano)

Gonna be honest, up-close the set seems rather disappointing. An excellent selection of minifigures, let down by the build. That said, from your review, it looks like the helicarrier has a bunch of great pieces, so maybe it's possible to rebuild this in to a nice, smaller vehicle, or a ground-level Avengers base? Might give that a go.

Me too, I think the 2015 one had the most interior space but THAT one wasn't minifig scale, You can't have interior space and have a minifig scale helicarrier all at once which REALLY SUCKS. Hopefully sometime in the future We'll actually get a minfig scale Helicarrier with an actually GOOD interior

That version of MODOK is so much better than the first

With no opening helmet Stark needs a hair piece included in every set. Great review Jang.

what would be really awesome is if this was the top bridge, and someone did a massive moc that was minifig scale, but had this as a detachable flyer from the very top.

That unusable space is so large that I half expected it to a have power functions conversion.

i think lego should do something like what they are doing with harry potter at the moment. instead of having one (often disappointing) set for these large scale 'things' they should do a different section each wave, and they all get put together when you collect them. this would be cool for the death star in star wars too, but for the helicarrier, they could do hulk's prison cell, and then the bridge, and then the lab, blah, blah blah, and eventually, with a lot of smaller sets, you create one big helicarrier, not quite to scale in universe, but still impressive, and more cost effective.

I think they should've put the new cannon turret on top of the back, where the radar dish is now, to make a more usable platform. And if the fans had two disconnected mechanisms, one each for the front and back, they could have gotten some usable space under the landing spot to either store and extra plane or jetpack or something, or just to have space for minifigs.

His voice makes the video so much more relaxing Also he thick brained BOIIIIIIIIII!

Those extra yellow parts are super interesting, I've never seen such a thing be done

After comparing this set to the old Space Police 2 and 3 "Motherships" the impression about this "playset" get's even worse for me

holy guacamole, batman! i thought that this was the only airship base thing lego has put out.

The spinning fans by the cheater wheel seems like such a pointless gimmick, why would fans spin by rolling a vertical takeoff vehicle along the ground? Do they just have a quota of gimmicks to fulfill? Definitely wouldve preffered more internal space and lower set fans too.

I was surprised that they found a way to make all the fans rotate at once and like it, however I hate how much of the mechanism is shown nevermind all the space that's taken up, I could live with that if it hid all the mechanism. As a kid if I was pretending to fly this through the air I'd like that I could just pull my hand over the wheel to make all the propellers spin. As a way of taking up less interior space though I'd maybe have 4 wheels on the bottom (one for each propeller)

I feel like this helicarrier is more reminiscent of the Hydra helicarriers from winter soldier

This is a pretty rough set, even by “LEGO-compromised-interpretations” standards. It really doesn’t capture the look of an aircraft carrier in the sky, the mechanism is bulky and causes the whole set to be a brick essentially, and the utter lack of interior really makes me question the point of this set

The MODOK build and the firey flying bases are pretty much the redeeming things about this. The carrier itself just looks unfinished (the back is horrendous) and no real interior space (like a lab or a hangar etc) is criminal.

I have been watching older videos, so being able to comment is really special to me! I can finally say I really love all your videos, and how I'm kinda jealous of your Lego collection

I wish I had this set. It looks so cool. I may not be a Marvel LEGO collecter but I love the MCU and this set looks really good.

I think they should've made it something else, like "Assault/Rescue at AIM Aqua Base" and made the helicarrier a submarine instead.

Modock looks like a brickheads lego build, and the face, while comic book accurate, is deep in the uncanny valley. It doesn't fit with the midi-scale helicarrier. The oversized prison throws off the midi-scale design. The propellers should not have stuck out so much. The propeller function is an amazing design. Thr figures (other than modock look very accurate).

This would at least be a good starting point for a minifigure compatible helicarrier moc

there is an amazing article on New Elementary about the design of the new projectile launcher. I guess the old competition launcher was difficult to manufacture and they wanted it to fit better in stud based builds.

One of my best friends was talking about getting this, and I kinda hope she does and also lets me at it for modifying it, because there's so much potential space in it for stuff.

Stop motion tip if you want to use this helicarrier I would recommend using the smaller quinjet poly bag sets or building your own even smaller quinjet for scale to give you more freedom on your helicarrier so you can make a good scale standard because this set is a little too all over the place scale wise

Wasn't a fan of the Capt Marvel helmet. But the dual mold of white eyes was really awesome hope to see that in the batman sets going forward.

I gotta say, the small width, the pair of grates on it, the awkward lack of much going on. I’m very sadly reminded of the ancient atla fire nation ship that sadly sits in a bin in my room semi assembled.

I find it should be bigger for that price, although it does have good and decant detail I'm not yet tempted enough to buy it. I have been looking for a good youtuber to review lego's and I find jangbricks is like 10/10 perfect. KEEP IT UP!!!!

With the thor figure, I love the print of the torso, I just got rid of the hammer gave him storm breaker and gave him the new hairpiece from the endgame sets, by far my favorite after those quick mods

I might get this set, besides that fan moving gimmick is awesome and it comes with some good figures I hope they come out with more sets like this style of marvel, I like it.

I know the first thing that comes to mind when I think "Avengers Helicarrier" is wheels!

That AIM agent gun seems weird to me, is it humanly possible to shoot that studshooter? Cool that they added the extra pieces to prop up the build! The fan drive mechanism looks to me like it could have been way better integrated into one side of the carrier and give at least half the space as usefull. I think it is too lacking to be worth it as a set, although their are great parts for a good price in this set.

The back prison has the exact space to add a PF motor, battery box and IR receiver and it really makes the set better. Its just a shame the gearbox used so much internal space but its a interesting actuator!

They should build diorama style helicarrier sets moving forward. Play value and features and 2-3 minifigs for a 2-400 piece set at at $50 centered around sections of the helicarrier...which can then be assembled into one massive actually-worth-buying set

Every set with a helmeted head needs to come with an alternate hair, especially if it has double face prints! An exception would be clones and stormtroopers that can be bulked in a set.

The new piece for the defense shooter would be perfect for the Wakz Wolf Tracker from Legends of Chima

I liked the old style of Iron Man helmets,where they could flip up. Seems cooler than keeping them static.

You could remove the Cannon to add a third fighter, or use the space for a quinjet-like aircraft.

The Emerald Night (2009) had temporary parts to keep the train stable while you built it.
