LEGO City Update - New Modular Part 5 - Outdoor Adventure Shop MOC 🧗‍♂️🏹

Ойын-сауық

The mystery is over. The fourth business in Fast Food Corner is an Outdoor Adventure shop, full of climbing, hiking and outdoor equipment. I even manage to fit in a full sized canoe. What's more I have a new sign for this business outside and TWO additional elements to the Fast Food sign. Now the holy trinity of burger, fries and milkshake is complete, you can see why I called the modular Fast Food Corner!

HiHo Robin I’m so pleased you liked my suggestion for the flask in the pharmacy window. You picked the right colour for it. A real nod to Boots, a Nottingham based company. Brilliant! Your “Outdoors” shop is just stupendous. I really love what you’ve achieved! It very much reminds me of George Fisher of Keswick. Both the exterior and interior of your store looks like this well known Lake District establishment. Wonderful stuff! The design of the rucksack/life preserver wall is so smart. I love how you’ve displayed the sleeping bags. It’s exactly how they are in George Fisher too! There’s also a mountaineering mannequin and revolving racks of clothes, just like your fabulous emporium. You have really nailed it with this modular. Well done Sir! As for the unfinished wall. I’m wondering if you’re going to put in a climbing wall to access the upper floor? There’s a famous mountaineering store in London’s Covent Garden (Bingham?) that actually has an ice climbing wall in the store. You can book a session to climb the wall in your ice climbing equipment. Presumably to try-out gear before you buy? If that’s what you’re going to do, all I can say is it’ll look blooming brilliant! The additional 3D signage for the fast food joint is outstanding. You can’t mistake what type of establishment it is. I think you’ve got it spot on. And, the signage for the outdoor shop is very clever. A great use of the triangular plate to represent the snow capped mountain and with the ice axe too.... top banana! Finally, the sticker piece is inspired. Keep it, please! A great job my friend. 👍👍❤️❤️

You're welcome, Robin. It was a good suggestion. I love the fact that this build has got even better due to the suggestions of subscribers. The sticker has grown on me and is staying. I mended the sticker for the third floor today in case I want to use it next week. No one guessed the store's use but everyone seems to be guessing the blank wall's use. Well done!

Have you ever considered walking us through your design process from the start? If I could come up with a possible improvement, I would suggest to use 1x2 or 2x2 plates underneath some of the map- and compass tiles on the shelf to illustrate that some items have been sold. Robin Hood Bricks I agree, it seems busy, but that is part of the charm. I love going to the old uptown areas of my city and wander around, sometimes taking pictures, and observing how old buildings have been repurposed. Small storefronts next to each other that are decorated completely different, yet somehow they blend together and become our neighbourhood. Being eclectic is part of the charm and how totally British.

I love all the little details and how full each shop is. I really like the 3D signs especially for the burger restaurant. I would love to know how you constructed the fries. Definitely well worth the wait! Great choice - I would've never guessed Outdoor Adventure because I sorta thought the snowboard shop basically covered the "wild" citizens of Brick Nottingham already. 😅 But this is great! And the facade is amazing as well. Fits perfectly above the bottom shops and goes especially well with the pawn broker next door. Interior is jam-packed as usual, feels very fitting. I hope the free studs on the wall will hold a climbing wall in the future and I'm already eagerly awaiting next weeks episode!
