LEGO City Update - Beach Part 5 & Downtown Diner 10260 🏖🏹

Ойын-сауық

This time I got lots of jobs done around the beach area including placing the first modular building, the Downtown Diner (set 10260), on the boardwalk. Also added were the interiors of the Beach Huts, a beach shower, a pedestrian rail crossing and loads of tiling!

I have a suggestion: Add a Diner employee in the back of the Downtown Diner throwing away a cooked crab/dish that is served at the Shrimp Shack, to indicate rivalry between the Diners.

I've gone through all my modulars and thought about their positions in the city, including the concept of mirroring them to make them fit. This ensures they are in the most natural setting possible. I'll then fill in the gaps!

Good placement for the Diner, imo - that corner flows well with the pedestrian walkway around it! I'd be in favor of seeing some tables set up in front of the diner, on the boardwalk section. Love the beach cabin setups - the guy/girl one makes me laugh :D the filled up one and treasure ones are neat. The ped walkway across the tracks seems so simple but flows well in the context of the area. Very cool all around - can't wait to see the next couple spaces filled up!

First move the diner owner towards the fishing store by 4 -5 studs and add tables to the side of the diner, also add some tables to the edge of the beach wall for the diner. Second maybe add a 4th beach shack, closer to the fishing store, that would be a secret entrance/ exit from the Batcave for Batman to get to the beach...

Robin Hood Bricks yes vintage sets can be hard to come by at a reasonable price. That’s why I’m a hybrid city builder using a vintage aesthetic while using modern specialised parts. If you don’t worry about stickered pieces or minifigures you can piece together vintage sets really easily

Very nice video again. I really love the steps near the Diner. I dunno why but they are very nice to watch. I saw a comment about shower being to close to the shack and i dont really like it being that close either but i can understand why is it there + lego distance is different from real life distance so we can all imagine it being more far away. About the yellow cabin: i like it, only thing i would change is to move the minifig 1 stud inside and remove teh basket cause u can't see it anyway. Unless u put something behind like a chair where she can't fit more in. Then is all good :D Also in the green cabin, the golden trophy isn't visible so maybe move the chest against the wall like u did in the red cabin and put the trophy to the open spot. Then again, if u are happy how it is, then that's alright. In the end, it's ur city, we are just the visitors :D Overall very nice to see beach to come more alive!
